SIGNS

The Paris Miracle

parisnighttraffic.jpg

I thought the traffic in Rome was wild. But I think Paris is crazier. We arrived in the center of the French capital with two full cars for a dinner with a member of the American Embassy. Parking spaces that night were as rare as snow in October, so myself and the other driver dropped off our human cargo, and began to drive around the block hoping for a space to open up. That’s when it happened. I lost site of the other car, took a wrong turn, and all of a sudden I was lost. Like an astronaut untethered in space, I began to be sucked away into the orbit of constant, unending, chaotic streams of Parisian traffic.

Wormwood

wormwood_DL.jpg

“the smoke of Satan is seeping into the Church of God through the cracks in the walls.” —POPE PAUL VI, first quote: Homily during the Mass for Sts. Peter & Paul, June 29, 1972

THERE is an elephant in the living room. But few want to talk about it. Most choose to ignore it. The problem is that the elephant is trampling all of the furniture and soiling the carpet. And the elephant is this: the Church is polluted with apostasy—the falling away from the faith—and it has a name: "Wormwood".

This writing was first published March 24th, 2009. I have added a powerful quote at the end from a Canadian Archbishop…

The Thirteenth Man

AS I have traveled throughout parts of Canada and America in the past several months and spoken with many souls, there is a consistent trend: marriages and relationships are under fierce attack, especially Christian marriages. Bickering, nitpicking, impatience, seemingly unresolvable differences and unusual tension. This is accentuated even further by financial stress and an overwhelming sense that time is racing beyond one’s ability to keep up.

The False Unity — Part II

IT is Canada Day today. As we sang our national anthem after morning mass, I thought about the freedoms paid for in blood by our ancestors… freedoms which are rapidly being sucked into an ocean of moral relativism as the Moral Tsunami continues its destruction.

It was two years ago that a court here ruled for the first time that a child can have three parents (January 2007). It is certainly a first in North America, if not the world, and is only the beginning of a cascade of change which is coming. And it is a strong sign of our times:

You must remember, beloved, the predictions of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ; they said to you, "In the last time there will be scoffers, following their own ungodly passions." It is these who set up divisions, worldly people, devoid of the Spirit. (Jude 18)

I first published this article on January 9th, 2007. I have updated it…

The Writing on the Wall

The Feast of Belshazzar (1635), Rembrandt

Since the scandal which took place at "Catholic" Notre Dame University in the USA, where pro-ab0rtion President Barack Obama was honored and a pro-life priest arrested, this writing has been ringing in my ears…

SINCE the elections in both Canada and the U.S. in which the populaces have chosen the economy rather than the extermination of the unborn as the most important issue, I have been hearing the words:

The writing is on the wall.

The Pope: Thermometer of Apostasy

BenedictCandle
POPE BENEDICT XVI

FEAST OF THE ANNUNCIATION

HAVING traveled and preached in over 40 American states and nearly all of Canada’s provinces, I have been afforded a wide-ranging glimpse of the Church on this continent. I have met many wonderful lay people, deeply committed priests, and devoted and reverent religious. But they have become so few in number that I am beginning to hear the words of Jesus in a new and startling way:

When the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth?(Luke 18:8)

It is said that if you throw a frog into boiling water, it will jump out. But if you slowly heat the water, it will remain in the pot and boil to death. The Church in many parts of the world is beginning to reach the boiling point. If you want to know how the hot the water is, watch the attack upon Peter.

Mary Reilly

MaryRose.jpg

FEAST OF ST. JOSEPH

IN recent messages, I have referred to the locutions of a woman in New York State known as Mary Reilly. While I tend to refer more to the Popes, Saints, and Church Fathers when it comes to prophecy, this modern visionary stands out in particular, in part, because her "messages" flow harmoniously with Tradition. I have spent many hours speaking with Mary, often wearing my old television reporter hat, still pointy with skepticism. Below are some insights which Mary has given me permission to make public, including words from some of her private messages.

Back To Eden?

Expulsion from the Garden of Eden
, Thomas Cole, c.1827-1828.
The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, MA, USA.

SINCE mankind was barred from the Garden of Eden, he has longed for both communion with God and harmony with nature—whether man knows it or not. Through His Son, God has promised both. But through a lie, so has the ancient serpent.

Control! Control!

WHILE praying before the Blessed Sacrament, I had the impression of an angel in the mid-heavens hovering above the world and shouting,

"Control! Control!"

As man tries more and more to banish Christ’s presence from the world, wherever they succeed, chaos takes His place. And with chaos, comes fear. And with fear, comes the opportunity to control.

Pope Benedict and the Two Columns

FEAST OF ST. JOHN BOSCO

First published July 18th, 2007, I have updated this writing on this feast day of St. John Bosco. Again, when I update these writings, it’s because I sense Jesus saying He wants us to hear it again… Note: Many readers are writing me reporting that they are no longer able to receive these newsletters, even though they’ve subscribed. The number of these instances is increasing every month. The only solution is to make it a habit to check this website every couple of days to see if I have posted a new writing. Sorry about this inconvenience. You can try writing your server and ask that all emails from markmallett.com be allowed through to your email. Also, make sure that the junk filters in your email program are not filtering out these emails. Lastly, I thank all of you for your letters to me. I try to respond whenever I can, but the obligations of my ministry and family life often require that I am brief or simply unable to respond at all. Thank you for understanding.

I HAVE written here before that I believe we are living in the days of the prophetic dream of St. John Bosco (read the full text here.) It is a dream in which the Church, represented as a great flagship, is bombarded and attacked by several enemy vessels surrounding it. The dream seems more and more to fit our times…

Dream of the Lawless One

"Two Deaths" — the choice of Christ, or Antichrist by Michael D. O’Brien

First published on November 29th, 2006, I have updated this important writing:

AT the beginning of my ministry about fourteen years ago, I had a vivid dream which is coming again to the foreground of my thoughts.

Ark of Fools

Look Up!, by Michael D. O’Brien

IN the wake of the U.S. and Canadian elections, many of you have written, tears in your eyes, broken-hearted that genocide will continue in your country in the "war on the womb." Others are feeling the pain of division which has entered their families and the sting of hurtful words as the sifting between the wheat and chaff becomes more evident. I woke up this morning with the writing below on my heart.

Two things Jesus gently asks of you this day: to love your enemies and to be a fool for Him

Will you say yes?
