IN my 1997 television documentary, What in the World is Going On?, a Canadian weather analyst spoke about the bizarre extremes in weather. Thirteen years later, those extremes continue with this year being more pronounced than ever.

In prayer, I sensed the Father say,

Do not doubt that I am speaking through the weather. Am I not the Lord of sun, snow, rain, and wind? All pour forth from my storehouse. But man himself can inhibit My natural order. Man himself can interfere with divine providence. Hence, I have forewarned from of old the "natural disasters" that would come because of man’s sin—because man himself would wreck the world that I created. Heaven itself is weeping at the awful sight: the power of man that strikes at the earth’s very foundations… The Divine Order has been interrupted and chaos and horror will follow man because he has left open the door to the spirit of death("Abaddon"; cf. Rev 9:11) Who can close the door but My Son? When the world cries out for Jesus, then He will come. Until then, death will be the companion of earth’s inhabitants. I grieve. Death is not my plan, but life. Come back to Me My children… come back to Me.

IT has been nearly a year since my wife and I picked up our eight children and moved to a small parcel of land on the Canadian prairies in the middle of nowhere. It is probably the last place I would have chosen.. a wide open ocean of farm fields, few trees, and plenty of wind. But all other doors closed and this was the one that opened.

As I prayed this morning, pondering the rapid, almost overwhelming change in direction for our family, words came back to me that I had forgotten that I had read shortly before we felt called to move… Ezekiel, Chapter 12.

That is, the Church would be flooded with a deluge of false prophets.

Why are the parish priests so silent about these times? It seems to me that ours priests should be leading us… but 99% are silent… why are they silent…??? Why are so many, many people asleep? Why don’t they wake up? I can see what’s happening and I am not special… why can’t others? It’s like a mandate from Heaven has been sent out to wake up and see what time it is… but only a few are awake and even fewer are responding.

My answer is why are you surprised? If we are possibly living in the "end times" (not the end of the world, but an end "period") as many of the popes seemed to think such as Pius X, Paul V, and John Paul II, if not our present Holy Father, then these days will be exactly as Scripture said they would be.

IT is only in hindsight now that perhaps Romans Chapter 1 has become one of the most prophetic passages in the New Testament. St. Paul lays out an intriguing progression: denial of God as Lord of Creation leads to vain reasoning; vain reasoning leads to a worship of the creature; and worship of the creature leads to an inversion of human sexuality, and the explosion of evil.

Romans 1 is perhaps one of the chief signs of our times…

First published March 4th, 2008. This writing has been updated with more recent events. It forms part of the underlying context for Part III of the Prophecy at Rome, coming to Embracing Hope TV later this week. 

DURING the past 17 years, my ministry has brought me from coast to coast in Canada. I have been everywhere from big city parishes to little country churches standing at the edge of wheat fields. I have met many souls who have a deep love for God and great desire for others to know Him too. I have encountered many priests who are faithful to the Church and doing whatever they can to serve their flocks. And there are those little pockets here and there of youth who are on fire for the Kingdom of God and working hard to bring conversion to even just a handful of their peers in this great counter-cultural battle between the Gospel and the anti-Gospel. 

God has granted me the privilege to minister to tens of thousands of my fellow countrymen. I have been granted a bird’s eye view of the Canadian Catholic Church that perhaps few even among the clergy have experienced.  

Which is why tonight, my soul is aching…

FOR some time now, I have spoken with the occasional reader who is befuddled as to why they are suddenly seeing the number 11:11 or 1:11, or 3:33, 4:44, etc. Whether glancing at a clock, a cellphone, television, page number, etc. they are suddenly seeing this number "everywhere." For instance, they won’t look at the clock all day, but suddenly feel the urge to look up, and there it is again.

THE proliferation of prophecy and private revelation in our times can be both a blessing and a curse. On the one hand, the Lord enlightens certain souls to guide us in these times; on the other hand, there are no doubt demonic inspirations and others that are simply imagined. I thought the traffic in Rome was wild. But I think Paris is crazier. We arrived in the center of the French capital with two full cars for a dinner with a member of the American Embassy. Parking spaces that night were as rare as snow in October, so myself and the other driver dropped off our human cargo, and began to drive around the block hoping for a space to open up. That’s when it happened. I lost site of the other car, took a wrong turn, and all of a sudden I was lost. Like an astronaut untethered in space, I began to be sucked away into the orbit of constant, unending, chaotic streams of Parisian traffic.

THERE is an elephant in the living room. But few want to talk about it. Most choose to ignore it. The problem is that the elephant is trampling all of the furniture and soiling the carpet. And the elephant is this: the Church is polluted with apostasy—the falling away from the faith—and it has a name: "Wormwood".
