It's never a dull moment with
Canadian singer/songwriter and Catholic missionary Mark Mallett,
who will be performing in (...town...) on (...date...).
Mark Mallett is a dynamic
entertainer with a powerful message and music to both soothe
and invigorate the soul. He has toured extensively throughout
North America, performing all his own material and keeping the
audience on their toes with his rich melodies, compelling message,
wacky sense of humor, and keen wit. Most recently, Mallett published
his first book entitled "The Final Confrontation",
and has launched a powerful weekly webcast EmbracingHope.tv.
In 2007, Mallett had the great
privilege of being invited to perform at the Vatican, where he
was asked to sing a song he penned the night Pope John Paul II
died, called "Song for Karol". The next day, Mark had
the privilege of meeting with Pope Benedict XVI and presenting
him with his music.
"It was surreal."
Mark recounts, "I remembered a few years ago, praying and
asking St. Pio to ask Jesus for the grace to be able to lay my
ministry at the feet of 'Peter'. And here I was, the little singing
missionary from Canada... it was very emotional."
In addition to releasing "Song
for Karol", Mallett has recorded five full albums to date.
Easter of 2007, he released The Divine Mercy Chaplet, a powerful
devotional given to the Church by St. Faustina. Mark's most recent
music CD is his long-awaited Worship CD: "Let the Lord
Know", rich with 16 original songs that can be sung
at Mass, worship services, adoration, or private devotion. It
is Mark's personal response to the Year of the Eucharist as pronounced
by Pope John Paul II in 2005 and features world renowned fiddler Natalie MacMaster and
Covenant Award-winning songstress Raylene Scarrott.
Mallett has received 3 national
awards and multiple nominations for his recordings. Many may
recognize his powerful Rosary CD entitled "Through Her
Eyes, A Journey to Jesus", released at the same time
as Mel Gibson's blockbuster "Passion of the Christ".
"Through Her Eyes" has outsold Mallett's other
albums combined, with orders streaming in from all over the world.
Mark and his wife Lea (who
sings back-up in concert) have eight beautiful children together
and make their home in Western Canada.
The concert will be held at
