St. John captured Our Lord&#8217;s cry in a beautiful prayer for the Apostles, and the nations that would hear their preaching:<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><!--more--><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"font-family: Courier New,Courier,mono; font-size: small;\">&#8230;that they may all be one, as you, Father, are in me and I in you, that they also may be in us, that the world may believe that you sent me. (John 17:20-21)<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">St. Paul calls this salvific plan &#8220;the mystery hidden from ages and from generations past&#8221;&#8230; <span class=\"footnote_referrer\"><a role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\" onclick=\"footnote_moveToReference_15244_1('footnote_plugin_reference_15244_1_1');\" onkeypress=\"footnote_moveToReference_15244_1('footnote_plugin_reference_15244_1_1');\" ><sup id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_15244_1_1\" class=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text\">[1]<\/sup><\/a><span id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_15244_1_1\" class=\"footnote_tooltip\">cf. Col 1:26<\/span><\/span><script type=\"text\/javascript\"> jQuery('#footnote_plugin_tooltip_15244_1_1').tooltip({ tip: '#footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_15244_1_1', tipClass: 'footnote_tooltip', effect: 'fade', predelay: 0, fadeInSpeed: 200, delay: 400, fadeOutSpeed: 200, position: 'top right', relative: true, offset: [10, 10], });<\/script><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"font-family: Courier New,Courier,mono; font-size: small;\">&#8230;a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in Him, things in heaven and things on earth\u201d (Eph 1:9-10).<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">In today&#8217;s first reading, we see how this plan, again, slowly comes into view for the early Church, not by human wisdom, but <em>by the action of the Holy Spirit<\/em>. The Gentiles were not only converting but receiving the Spirit too! Jews <em>and<\/em> Gentiles were turning to Christ, and thus, this mysterious unity was given a name: &#8220;Christians<em>.&#8221; <\/em>A new people was being <em>born. <\/em><\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><em>And here the mystery deepens. <\/em>For we see that the Church is conceived, not only through Christ&#8217;s open side, but through Mary&#8217;s pierced heart as well. <span class=\"footnote_referrer\"><a role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\" onclick=\"footnote_moveToReference_15244_1('footnote_plugin_reference_15244_1_2');\" onkeypress=\"footnote_moveToReference_15244_1('footnote_plugin_reference_15244_1_2');\" ><sup id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_15244_1_2\" class=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text\">[2]<\/sup><\/a><span id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_15244_1_2\" class=\"footnote_tooltip\">cf. Luke 2:35<\/span><\/span><script type=\"text\/javascript\"> jQuery('#footnote_plugin_tooltip_15244_1_2').tooltip({ tip: '#footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_15244_1_2', tipClass: 'footnote_tooltip', effect: 'fade', predelay: 0, fadeInSpeed: 200, delay: 400, fadeOutSpeed: 200, position: 'top right', relative: true, offset: [10, 10], });<\/script> For the Virgin Mary&#8217;s role in salvation history was echoed from the very beginning::<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"font-family: Courier New,Courier,mono; font-size: small;\">The man gave his wife the name \u201cEve,\u201d because she was the mother of all the living. (Gen 3:20)<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">Christ is the new Adam, <span class=\"footnote_referrer\"><a role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\" onclick=\"footnote_moveToReference_15244_1('footnote_plugin_reference_15244_1_3');\" onkeypress=\"footnote_moveToReference_15244_1('footnote_plugin_reference_15244_1_3');\" ><sup id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_15244_1_3\" class=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text\">[3]<\/sup><\/a><span id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_15244_1_3\" class=\"footnote_tooltip\">cf. 1 Cor 15:22, 45<\/span><\/span><script type=\"text\/javascript\"> jQuery('#footnote_plugin_tooltip_15244_1_3').tooltip({ tip: '#footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_15244_1_3', tipClass: 'footnote_tooltip', effect: 'fade', predelay: 0, fadeInSpeed: 200, delay: 400, fadeOutSpeed: 200, position: 'top right', relative: true, offset: [10, 10], });<\/script> and by virtue of her obedience and purity through the merits of the Cross, Mary is the &#8220;new Eve,&#8221; the new Mother of all nations.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span class=\"text\"><span style=\"color: #000066; font-family: Trebuchet MS; font-size: small;\"><strong>At the end of this mission of the Spirit, Mary became the Woman, the new Eve (&#8220;mother of the living&#8221;), the mother of the &#8220;whole Christ.&#8221;As such, she was present with the Twelve, who &#8220;with one accord devoted themselves to prayer,&#8221;at the dawn of the &#8220;end time&#8221; which the Spirit was to inaugurate on the morning of Pentecost with the manifestation of the Church. <\/strong><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: small;\">\u2014<em>CCC, <\/em>n. 726<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">Do not think then that the Good Shepherd in today&#8217;s Gospel gathers the flock alone. There is a Mother whose heart <em>beats in unity<\/em> with her Son&#8217;s for the redemption of <em>all her children. <\/em>If the Church teaches that she became the &#8220;new Eve&#8221; at the dawn of the &#8220;end time&#8221;, will she not also be present at the <em>twilight <\/em>of the end times? The Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary united to conceive Jesus; now, they continue in the Father&#8217;s plan to give birth to the &#8220;whole Christ&#8221;\u2014the mystery hidden from ages and from generations past.<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">And there you have the answer as to why this<em> &#8220;Woman clothed with the sun&#8230; in pain as she labored to give birth&#8221;<\/em> <span class=\"footnote_referrer\"><a role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\" onclick=\"footnote_moveToReference_15244_1('footnote_plugin_reference_15244_1_4');\" onkeypress=\"footnote_moveToReference_15244_1('footnote_plugin_reference_15244_1_4');\" ><sup id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_15244_1_4\" class=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text\">[4]<\/sup><\/a><span id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_15244_1_4\" class=\"footnote_tooltip\">cf. Rev 12:1-2<\/span><\/span><script type=\"text\/javascript\"> jQuery('#footnote_plugin_tooltip_15244_1_4').tooltip({ tip: '#footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_15244_1_4', tipClass: 'footnote_tooltip', effect: 'fade', predelay: 0, fadeInSpeed: 200, delay: 400, fadeOutSpeed: 200, position: 'top right', relative: true, offset: [10, 10], });<\/script> is making\u2014and<em> going to make<\/em>\u2014her maternal presence felt, in these, the end times&#8230;<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"font-family: Courier New,Courier,mono; font-size: small;\">And of Zion they shall say: \u201cOne and all were born in her; And he who has established her is the Most High LORD.\u201d (Today&#8217;s Psalm)<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p align=\"CENTER\">Prayer from the apparitions of Our Lady of All Nations, <br \/>with Vatican approval:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the Father,<\/em><br \/> <em> send now Your Spirit over the earth.<\/em><br \/> <em> Let the Holy Spirit live in the hearts<\/em><br \/> <em> of all nations, that they may be preserved<\/em><br \/> <em> from degeneration, disaster and war.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>May the Lady of All Nations,<\/em><br \/> <em> the Blessed Virgin Mary,<\/em><br \/> <em> be our Advocate.
