But nearly every day since, I have been getting clear confirmations that this is a <em>word <\/em>of warning to all of us.<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">There are many new readers coming aboard each day. Let me briefly recap then&#8230; When this writing apostolate began some eight years ago, I felt the\u00a0Lord asking\u00a0me to &#8220;watch and pray&#8221;. <span class=\"footnote_referrer\"><a role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\" onclick=\"footnote_moveToReference_16398_1('footnote_plugin_reference_16398_1_1');\" onkeypress=\"footnote_moveToReference_16398_1('footnote_plugin_reference_16398_1_1');\" ><sup id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_16398_1_1\" class=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text\">[1]<\/sup><\/a><span id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_16398_1_1\" class=\"footnote_tooltip\">At WYD in Toronto in 2003, Pope John Paul II likewise asked us\u00a0youth to become &#8220;<strong>the\u00a0<em>watchmen<\/em>\u00a0of the morning who announce the coming of the sun who is the Risen Christ!&#8221;<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014POPE JOHN PAUL II,\u00a0<em>Message of the Holy Father to the Youth of the World<\/em>, XVII World Youth Day, n. 3; (cf. Is 21:11-12).<\/span><\/span><script type=\"text\/javascript\"> jQuery('#footnote_plugin_tooltip_16398_1_1').tooltip({ tip: '#footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_16398_1_1', tipClass: 'footnote_tooltip', effect: 'fade', predelay: 0, fadeInSpeed: 200, delay: 400, fadeOutSpeed: 200, position: 'top right', relative: true, offset: [10, 10], });<\/script> Following the headlines, it seemed that there was an escalation of world events by the month. Then it began to be by the week. And now, it is <em>daily. <\/em>It is exactly as I felt the Lord was showing\u00a0me it would happen (oh, how I wish in some ways I was wrong about this!)<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><!--more--><\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">As I explained in <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/the-seven-seals-of-revolution\/\">The Seven Seals of Revolution<\/a><\/em>, what we were to prepare for was a Great Storm, a <em>spiritual<\/em> hurricane. And as we were to get closer to the &#8220;eye of the storm,&#8221; events would happen quickly, more fiercely, one on top of the other\u2014like the winds of a hurricane nearest the center. The nature of these winds, I felt the Lord saying, are\u00a0the &#8220;labour pains&#8221; that Jesus described in Matthew 24, and that John saw in more detail in Revelation 6. These &#8220;winds&#8221;, I understood, would be a wicked blend of mostly man-made crises: intentional and consequential disasters, weaponized viruses and disruptions, avoidable famines, wars, and revolutions.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Courier New', Courier, mono; font-size: small;\">When they sow the wind, they will reap the whirlwind. (Hos 8:7)<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">In a word, man himself would <em>unleash Hell on earth<\/em>. Literally. As we look at world events, we can see that this is precisely what is occurring, that all the <em>seals <\/em>of Revelation are fully opening one upon the other: wars are exploding all over the world (leading the Pope to recently comment that we are already in &#8220;World War III&#8221;), deadly viruses are rapidly spreading, economic collapse is imminent, persecution is being fanned into a merciless flame, and more and more incidents of bizarre and unrestrained behavior are happening all over the world. Yes, when I say Hell has been unleashed, I am referring to an unleashing of evil spirits.<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">SAY NO TO COMPROMISE<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">I have shared with my readers that seemingly prophetic &#8220;word&#8221; I received in 2005, which a Canadian bishop consequently asked me to write about. At <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/dam-breaking_Fotor.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"268\" height=\"186\" align=\"left\" hspace=\"5\" vspace=\"2\" \/>that time, I heard a voice in my heart say, <em>&#8220;I have lifted the restrainer.&#8221;<\/em> <span class=\"footnote_referrer\"><a role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\" onclick=\"footnote_moveToReference_16398_1('footnote_plugin_reference_16398_1_2');\" onkeypress=\"footnote_moveToReference_16398_1('footnote_plugin_reference_16398_1_2');\" ><sup id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_16398_1_2\" class=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text\">[2]<\/sup><\/a><span id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_16398_1_2\" class=\"footnote_tooltip\">cf. <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/removing-the-restrainer\/\">Removing the Restraine<\/a>r<\/em><\/span><\/span><script type=\"text\/javascript\"> jQuery('#footnote_plugin_tooltip_16398_1_2').tooltip({ tip: '#footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_16398_1_2', tipClass: 'footnote_tooltip', effect: 'fade', predelay: 0, fadeInSpeed: 200, delay: 400, fadeOutSpeed: 200, position: 'top right', relative: true, offset: [10, 10], });<\/script> And then in 2012, the sense that God was <em>removing <\/em>the restrainer.<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">The spiritual dimension of this is very clear in 2 Thessalonians 2: that a restrainer is holding back lawlessness, that once removed, simultaneously gives Satan <em>free reign<\/em> with those who have rejected the path of the Gospel.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Courier New', Courier, mono; font-size: small;\">The coming of the lawless one by the activity of Satan will be with all power and with pretended signs and wonders, and with all wicked deception for those who are to perish, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. Therefore God sends upon them a strong delusion, to make them believe what is false, so that all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness (2 Thess 2:9-12)<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">Brothers and sisters, I wrote about this in <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/warnings-in-the-wind\/\">Warnings in the Wind<\/a>, <\/em>that we all need to be very careful about opening the door to sin, even small sin. Something has changed. The &#8220;margin of error,&#8221; so to speak, is gone. Either one is going to be for God, or against Him. The choice must be made, the dividing lines are being formed. The lukewarm are being revealed, and they will be spit out.<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">That was the warning in the approved apparitions of Our Lady of Kibeho, that Rwanda was becoming a warning <em>to the world. <\/em>After repeated visions and premonitions from the African seers that a genocide was going to burst out\u2014and they were ignored\u2014those who were not walking in grace had opened themselves to a terrible deception, many becoming possessed as they walked about hacking and killing others with machetes and knives until over 800,000 people were dead.<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">EMPTYING THE BOWELS OF HELL<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">I have heard in my heart a\u00a0word repeating for the past few months: that<em> &#8220;the bowels of hell have been emptied<\/em>.&#8221; We can see this in the more obvious manifestations of, say, ISIS (Islamic State), who are torturing, <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/isis3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"171\" height=\"320\" align=\"right\" hspace=\"2\" \/>beheading, and murdering non-Muslims. As of this morning, a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/news\/nation\/2014\/09\/26\/oklahoma-beheading-muslim-convert-police\/16263941\/\">woman in Oklahoma<\/a> has now been beheaded. I hope you perceive the <em>timing <\/em>of this writing today.<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">But this has already been preceded numerous times by parents killing their children and grandchildren in murder-suicides and the rise of other violent crimes. Then there are the increasing manifestations of bizarre outbursts in public, <span class=\"footnote_referrer\"><a role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\" onclick=\"footnote_moveToReference_16398_1('footnote_plugin_reference_16398_1_3');\" onkeypress=\"footnote_moveToReference_16398_1('footnote_plugin_reference_16398_1_3');\" ><sup id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_16398_1_3\" class=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text\">[3]<\/sup><\/a><span id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_16398_1_3\" class=\"footnote_tooltip\">cf. <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/the-power-of-a-pure-soul\/\">The Power of a Pure Soul<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/warnings-in-the-wind\/\"><em>Warnings in the Wind<\/em><\/a><\/span><\/span><script type=\"text\/javascript\"> jQuery('#footnote_plugin_tooltip_16398_1_3').tooltip({ tip: '#footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_16398_1_3', tipClass: 'footnote_tooltip', effect: 'fade', predelay: 0, fadeInSpeed: 200, delay: 400, fadeOutSpeed: 200, position: 'top right', relative: true, offset: [10, 10], });<\/script> increased glamorization of witchcraft and the occult, black masses, and then the less obvious forms of lawlessness couched in legal terms and imposed on the public. And let us not overlook the growing number of high-ranking clergy who appear willing to depart from Sacred Tradition for more so-called &#8220;pastoral&#8221; approaches to family issues.<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">I have already mentioned a priest I know in Missouri who not only has the gift to read souls, but has seen angels, demons, and souls from purgatory since he was a child. He recently confided with me that he is seeing demons now that <em>he has never seen before. <\/em>He described them as being &#8220;ancient&#8221; and very powerful.<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">Then there is the daughter of a very discerning reader who wrote me recently:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><strong>My older daughter sees many beings good and bad [angels] in battle. She has spoken many times about how its an all out war and its only getting bigger and the different kinds of beings. Our Lady appeared to her in a dream last year as our Lady of Guadalupe. She told her that the demon coming is larger and fiercer than all the others. That she is not to engage this demon nor listen to it. It was going to try to take over the world. This is a demon of <em>fear<\/em>. It was a fear that my daughter said was going to envelop everyone and everything. Staying close to the Sacraments and Jesus and Mary are of the utmost importance.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">Brothers and sisters, we need to take these collective warnings very seriously. We are at war. But rather than dwell any more here on the <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/Our_Lady_of_Sorrows-1024x602.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"250\" height=\"146\" align=\"left\" hspace=\"5\" vspace=\"2\" \/>explosion of evil we are seeing\u2014that is, the <em>intensifying Storm<\/em>\u2014I want to make some very concrete suggestions to you of how to guard your heart and that of your families using this daughter&#8217;s summary. For the main point above is this: don&#8217;t be surprised to see such manifestations of evil exponentially increase in the days and months ahead. The restrainer has been lifted, and only those who keep the restrainer over their own hearts from evil will be protected.<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">The words of Jesus come to mind:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Courier New', Courier, mono; font-size: small;\">I have told you this so that when their hour comes you may remember that I told you. (John 16:4)<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">COMING UNDER DIVINE PROTECTION<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">Again, the daughter wrote: &#8220;Staying close to the Sacraments and Jesus and Mary are of the utmost importance.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">The Sacraments<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">When&#8217;s the last time you went to confession? The Sacrament of Reconciliation not only takes away our sins, but takes away any <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/sacramentconfession.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"265\" height=\"212\" align=\"left\" hspace=\"5\" vspace=\"2\" \/>&#8220;right&#8221; Satan has that we may have relinquished to him through sin. One exorcist told me that a lot of deliverance happens in the context of sacramental confession. That, and the voice of the accuser is silenced in the face of God&#8217;s mercy, thus restoring peace of mind and soul. Satan is a <em>&#8220;liar and the father of lies.&#8221;<\/em> <span class=\"footnote_referrer\"><a role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\" onclick=\"footnote_moveToReference_16398_1('footnote_plugin_reference_16398_1_4');\" onkeypress=\"footnote_moveToReference_16398_1('footnote_plugin_reference_16398_1_4');\" ><sup id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_16398_1_4\" class=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text\">[4]<\/sup><\/a><span id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_16398_1_4\" class=\"footnote_tooltip\">cf. John 8:44<\/span><\/span><script type=\"text\/javascript\"> jQuery('#footnote_plugin_tooltip_16398_1_4').tooltip({ tip: '#footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_16398_1_4', tipClass: 'footnote_tooltip', effect: 'fade', predelay: 0, fadeInSpeed: 200, delay: 400, fadeOutSpeed: 200, position: 'top right', relative: true, offset: [10, 10], });<\/script> So when you bring the lies you&#8217;ve been living into the light, the darkness scatters.<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">The Sacrament of the Eucharist <em>is<\/em> Jesus. By receiving His Body and Blood, we are fed the &#8220;bread of life&#8221; that is the beginning of &#8220;eternal life.&#8221; By receiving the Eucharist worthily, we fill those empty places in the soul that Satan wants to occupy. <span class=\"footnote_referrer\"><a role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\" onclick=\"footnote_moveToReference_16398_1('footnote_plugin_reference_16398_1_5');\" onkeypress=\"footnote_moveToReference_16398_1('footnote_plugin_reference_16398_1_5');\" ><sup id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_16398_1_5\" class=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text\">[5]<\/sup><\/a><span id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_16398_1_5\" class=\"footnote_tooltip\">cf. Matt 12:43-45<\/span><\/span><script type=\"text\/javascript\"> jQuery('#footnote_plugin_tooltip_16398_1_5').tooltip({ tip: '#footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_16398_1_5', tipClass: 'footnote_tooltip', effect: 'fade', predelay: 0, fadeInSpeed: 200, delay: 400, fadeOutSpeed: 200, position: 'top right', relative: true, offset: [10, 10], });<\/script><\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Jesus<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">I like how this daughter said &#8220;the Sacraments&#8221; <em>and<\/em> &#8220;Jesus.&#8221; Because many receive the Eucharist, but they do not <em>receive Jesus. <\/em>By this I mean that they approach the Sacrament without any comprehension of what they are receiving, as if they were lining up for a free donut. The graces of the Sacrament then are mostly lost. Aside from the crisis in catechesis that has existed for decades, it is still encumbent upon each of us to <em>know <\/em>what we&#8217;re doing, and <em>do it with the heart. <\/em><\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">The preparation for receiving the benefits and graces of the Eucharist is to <em>already be<\/em> in friendship with God. On the other hand, St. Paul clearly warned that receiving the Eucharist unworthily opens the door to the powers of death.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Courier New', Courier, mono; font-size: small;\">For anyone who eats and drinks without discerning the body, eats and drinks judgment on himself. That is why many among you are ill and infirm, and a considerable number are dying. (1 Cor 11:29-30)<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">The preparation to receiving the graces of the Blessed Sacrament then is what is called <em>prayer. <\/em><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/ManPraying1_Fotor_000.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"231\" height=\"210\" align=\"right\" hspace=\"2\" \/><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000066; font-family: 'Trebuchet MS';\">\u2026prayer is the living relationship of the children of God with their Father\u2026 <\/span><\/strong>\u2014<em>Catechism of the Catholic Church<\/em>, n.2565<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">And of course,<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000066; font-family: 'Trebuchet MS';\">Asking forgiveness is the prerequisite for both the Eucharistic Liturgy and personal prayer.<\/span><\/strong> \u2014<em>Catechism of the Catholic Church<\/em>, n. 2631<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">Prayer is not a list of words to say, but a heart listening to the Word. It is a matter of simply praying from the heart\u2014speaking to God like a friend, listening to Him speak to you in the Scriptures, casting upon Him all your cares, and letting Him love you. That is prayer.<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">And really, what you&#8217;re doing is opening your heart to He-who-is-love. This is the antidote to this &#8220;demon of fear&#8221; that has been unleashed upon the world:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Courier New', Courier, mono; font-size: small;\">There is no fear in love, but perfect love drives out fear&#8230; (1 John 4:18)<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">Satan knows this, and thus&#8230;<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000066; font-family: 'Trebuchet MS';\">&#8230;<em>prayer is a battle<\/em>. Against whom? Against ourselves and against the wiles of the tempter who does all he can to turn man away from prayer, away from union with God&#8230; the &#8220;spiritual battle&#8221; of the Christian&#8217;s new life is inseparable from the battle of prayer.<\/span><\/strong> \u2014<em>Catechism of the Catholic Church<\/em>, n. 2725<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Mary<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">I have written a great deal about the Blessed Mother, her role in our times, in our personal lives, and the life of the Church. Brothers and sisters, it is time to ignore the voices of those who obstinately reject the theology of this Mother and simply get on with the business of letting her mother you. If the Father was okay with entrusting Jesus to her, He is okay with entrusting you to her as well.<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">But in the context of this meditation, let us renew our commitment <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/man-praying-with-rosary_Fotor.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"194\" height=\"290\" align=\"left\" hspace=\"5\" vspace=\"2\" \/>today to the <em>Rosary. <\/em>The chief exorcist of Rome, Fr. Gabriele Amorth, recounts what a demon revealed under obedience.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><strong>One day a colleague of mine heard the devil say during an exorcism: &#8220;Every Hail Mary is like a blow on my head. If Christians knew how powerful the Rosary was, it would be my end.&#8221; The secret that makes this prayer so effective is that the Rosary is both prayer and meditation. It is addressed to the Father, to the Blessed Virgin, and to the Holy Trinity, and is a meditation centred on Christ. <\/strong>\u2014<em>Echo of Mary, Queen of Peace<\/em>, March-April edition, 2003<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">Indeed, as St. John Paul wrote in an apostolic letter:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><strong>The Rosary, though clearly Marian in character, is at heart a Christocentric prayer\u2026 The centre of gravity in the Hail Mary, the hinge as it were which joins its two parts, is the name of <em>Jesus<\/em>. &#8230; it is precisely the emphasis given to the name of Jesus and to his mystery that is the sign of a meaningful and fruitful recitation of the Rosary<\/strong>. \u2014JOHN PAUL II, Rosarium Virginis Mariae, n. 1, 33 <\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">Satan hates the Rosary because, when prayed with the heart, it conforms the believer more and more to the likeness of Christ. Padre Pio once said,<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><strong>Love the Madonna and pray the rosary, for Her Rosary is the weapon against the evils of the world today. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">CLOSING THE CRACKS<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">The above are what I would call the fundamentals of battle. But we need to shore up the details as well, drawing from the wisdom of the Church and her experience on how to close the cracks that Satan and his minions will exploit unless we seal them.<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Closing Spiritual Cracks<\/span>:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\u2022 Have your home blessed by a priest.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\u2022 Pray together every day as a family.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\u2022 Use Holy Water to bless your children and spouse.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/Familypraying-400x599_Fotor.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"218\" height=\"326\" align=\"right\" hspace=\"2\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\u2022 Fathers: you are the spiritual head of your home. Use your authority to rebuke evil spirits when you see them trying to gain entrance to your family. (Read <em>A Priest in My Own Home: <\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/a-priest-in-my-own-home\/\">Part <\/a>I and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/a-priest-in-my-own-home-part-ii\/\">Part II<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\u2022 Wear sacramentals such as the Scapular, St. Benedict&#8217;s medal, Miraculous medal, etc. and have them properly blessed.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\u2022 Hang a picture of the Sacred Heart or Divine Mercy image in your home and consecrate your family to the Sacred Heart of Jesus (and Our Lady).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\u2022 Be sure to confess <em>all<\/em> sin in your life, especially serious sin, making concrete steps to avoid it in the future.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\u2022 Avoid the &#8220;near occasion of sin&#8221; (read <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/the-near-occasion-of-sin\/\">The Near Occasion<\/a><\/em>).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\" align=\"LEFT\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Closing Physical Cracks:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\u2022 Do not watch horror films, which are a portal of evil (and use discretion with other films, more and more which are dark, violent, and lustful).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\u2022 Disassociate from those who lead you into sin.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\u2022 <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/foundation-crack_Fotor.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"191\" height=\"215\" align=\"left\" hspace=\"5\" vspace=\"2\" \/>Avoid cursing and negativity, which ex-satanists say attract evil spirits.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\u2022 Be mindful that many musical artists today have consecrated their &#8220;music&#8221; to Satan\u2014not just heavy metal bands, but pop artists. Do you really want to listen to music inspired or &#8220;blessed&#8221; by the evil one?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\u2022 Keep custody of your eyes. Pornography has powerful physical and spiritual implications. Jesus said &#8220;the lamp of the body is the eye.&#8221;<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Courier New', Courier, mono; font-size: small;\">&#8230;if your eye is bad, your whole body will be in darkness. And if the light in you is darkness, how great will the darkness be. (Matt 6:23)<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\" align=\"LEFT\">But remember:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\" align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><strong>God never tires of forgiving us; we are the ones who tire of seeking his mercy. <\/strong>\u2014POPE FRANCIS, <em>Evangelii Gaudium<\/em>, n. 3<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">SHINE LIKE THE STARS!<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">All of what I&#8217;ve said presumes that the fundamentals are in place. Otherwise, we can be led into a false security thinking that a crucifix protects us rather than Christ; that a medal is our security rather than our Mother; that sacramentals are a form of salvation rather than our Savior. God uses these little means as instruments of His grace, but they cannot replace the fundamental necessity of <em>faith, <\/em>&#8220;without which it is impossible to please God.&#8221; <span class=\"footnote_referrer\"><a role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\" onclick=\"footnote_moveToReference_16398_1('footnote_plugin_reference_16398_1_6');\" onkeypress=\"footnote_moveToReference_16398_1('footnote_plugin_reference_16398_1_6');\" ><sup id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_16398_1_6\" class=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text\">[6]<\/sup><\/a><span id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_16398_1_6\" class=\"footnote_tooltip\">cf.
