Matt 24:8<\/span><\/span><script type=\"text\/javascript\"> jQuery('#footnote_plugin_tooltip_17686_1_1').tooltip({ tip: '#footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_17686_1_1', tipClass: 'footnote_tooltip', effect: 'fade', predelay: 0, fadeInSpeed: 200, delay: 400, fadeOutSpeed: 200, position: 'top right', relative: true, offset: [10, 10], });<\/script> What, then, could possibly be the <em>hard labor? <\/em>Jesus answers:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Courier New', Courier, mono; font-size: small;\"><em>Then<\/em> they will deliver you up to tribulation, and put you to death; and you will be hated by all nations for my name&#8217;s sake. And then many will fall away, and betray one another, and hate one another. And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray. (Matt 24:9-11)<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Yes, the violent death of the body is a travesty, but the death of the <em>soul <\/em>is a tragedy. The hard labor is the great spiritual struggle that is here and coming&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>THE BIRTH A NEW WORLD&#8230; ORDER<\/p>\n<p>It is the <em>struggle<\/em> between the birth of the entire People of God (Jews and Gentiles) <em>versus<\/em> the birth of a godless New World Order. It is the struggle of <em>ideologies<\/em>, of the teachings of the Catholic Church versus the secular humanism that is the fruit of the Enlightenment\u2014the &#8220;new paganism.&#8221; It is ultimately a struggle between <em>light <\/em>and<em> darkness, <\/em><em>truth <\/em>and <em>falsehood<\/em>. And in this struggle, Jesus says that the Church will eventually be &#8220;hated by all nations&#8221; and that a false church would rise and &#8220;lead many astray.&#8221; This is the great confrontation detailed in Revelation symbolized by the Woman vs. the dragon.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Courier New', Courier, mono; font-size: small;\">&#8230;the dragon stood before the woman about to give birth, to devour her child when she gave birth. She gave birth to a son, a male child, destined to rule all the nations with an iron rod. (Rev 12:4-5)<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>I will write more about this birthing of the People of God shortly. But for now, we need to recognize this second portent that St. John described: this rising &#8220;great red dragon.&#8221; It wishes to control <em>everything<\/em>. In April of 2007, I remember praying before the Blessed Sacrament and having the <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/rubens2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"262\" height=\"224\" align=\"left\" hspace=\"5\" vspace=\"2\" \/>distinct impression of an angel in the mid-heavens hovering above the world and shouting, <span class=\"footnote_referrer\"><a role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\" onclick=\"footnote_moveToReference_17686_1('footnote_plugin_reference_17686_1_2');\" onkeypress=\"footnote_moveToReference_17686_1('footnote_plugin_reference_17686_1_2');\" ><sup id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_17686_1_2\" class=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text\">[2]<\/sup><\/a><span id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_17686_1_2\" class=\"footnote_tooltip\">cf.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/control-control\/\"> <em>Control! Control!&#8221; <\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<div align=\"center\">\n<p align=\"LEFT\">Since then, we have seen our liberties literally hanging on by a thread. As an economic collapse draws dangerously near (see <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/2014-and-the-rising-beast\/\">2014 and the Rising Beast<\/a><\/em>), <span class=\"footnote_referrer\"><a role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\" onclick=\"footnote_moveToReference_17686_1('footnote_plugin_reference_17686_1_3');\" onkeypress=\"footnote_moveToReference_17686_1('footnote_plugin_reference_17686_1_3');\" ><sup id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_17686_1_3\" class=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text\">[3]<\/sup><\/a><span id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_17686_1_3\" class=\"footnote_tooltip\">cf. &#8220;Central bank prophet fears QE warfare pushing world financial system out of control&#8221;, www.telegraph.co.uk<\/span><\/span><script type=\"text\/javascript\"> jQuery('#footnote_plugin_tooltip_17686_1_3').tooltip({ tip: '#footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_17686_1_3', tipClass: 'footnote_tooltip', effect: 'fade', predelay: 0, fadeInSpeed: 200, delay: 400, fadeOutSpeed: 200, position: 'top right', relative: true, offset: [10, 10], });<\/script> governments are now poised to seize private bank accounts, control of the internet, if not our city streets, with the right crisis. Most people are oblivious of the laws and measures being put into place that give greater, if not absolute control to what Pope Francis calls the &#8220;unseen empires&#8221; that control the world&#8217;s purse strings. <span class=\"footnote_referrer\"><a role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\" onclick=\"footnote_moveToReference_17686_1('footnote_plugin_reference_17686_1_4');\" onkeypress=\"footnote_moveToReference_17686_1('footnote_plugin_reference_17686_1_4');\" ><sup id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_17686_1_4\" class=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text\">[4]<\/sup><\/a><span id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_17686_1_4\" class=\"footnote_tooltip\">cf. <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/antichrist-in-our-times\/\">Antichrist in Our Times<\/a><\/em><\/span><\/span><script type=\"text\/javascript\"> jQuery('#footnote_plugin_tooltip_17686_1_4').tooltip({ tip: '#footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_17686_1_4', tipClass: 'footnote_tooltip', effect: 'fade', predelay: 0, fadeInSpeed: 200, delay: 400, fadeOutSpeed: 200, position: 'top right', relative: true, offset: [10, 10], });<\/script><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><strong>We are on the verge of a global transformation. All we need is the right major crisis and the nations will accept the New World Order<\/strong>. \u2014David Rockefeller, a prominent member of secret societies including the Illuminati, the Skull and Bones, and The Bilderberg Group; speaking at the UN, Sept. 14, 1994<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">IDEOLOGICAL COLONIZATION<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">But the Black Ship, the <em>false church <\/em>that is now sailing, is one that goes much deeper and broader: it is the control of <em>thought. <\/em><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\"><strong>It is not the beautiful globalization of unity of all Nations, each one with their own customs, instead it is the globalization of hegemonic uniformity, it is the <em>single thought<\/em>. And this sole thought is the fruit of worldliness.<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014POPE FRANCIS, Homily, November 18th, 2013;\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.zenit.org\/en\/articles\/pope-francis-globalized-uniformity-is-the-fruit-of-worldliness?utm_campaign=dailyhtml&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_source=dispatch\">Zenit<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">During his recent trip to the Philippines, Pope Francis boldly decried the &#8220;ideological colonization&#8221; taking place throughout the world. That is, foreign aid is often given to a nation on the condition that it embrace an ideology: that it offer &#8220;reproductive health care&#8221; (ie. birth control, abortion on demand, sterilization) or legalize alternate forms of marriage. Pope Francis exposes this manipulation head on:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><strong>They introduce to the people an idea that has nothing to do with the nation. Yes, with groups of people, but not with the nation. <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/HitlerYouth_Fotor.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"228\" height=\"224\" align=\"right\" hspace=\"3\" \/>And they colonize the people with an idea which changes, or wants to change, a mentality or a structure.<\/strong> \u2014POPE FRANCIS, January 19th, 2015, <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.catholicnewsagency.com\/news\/full-text-of-popes-in-flight-interview-from-manila-to-rome-84716\/\">Catholic News Agency<\/a><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">He used as examples the imposition of &#8220;gender theory&#8221; in Africa and the youth movements under Mussolini and Hitler where ideologies were forced upon the population. Confirming what I wrote in <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/mystery-babylon\/\">Mystery Babylon<\/a><\/em> regarding the West, and America in particular, Pope Francis made a powerful reference to those who &#8220;colonize&#8221; with these ideologies:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><strong>&#8230;when conditions come imposed by imperial colonizers, they seek to make these peoples lose their own identity and make a uniformity. This is the globalization of the sphere &#8212; all the points are equidistant from the center. And the true globalization &#8212; I like to say this &#8212; is not the sphere. It is important to globalize, but not like the sphere; rather, like the polyhedron. Namely that each people, every part, conserves its own identity without being ideologically colonized. These are the ideological colonizations. <\/strong> \u2014POPE FRANCIS, January 19th, 2015, <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.catholicnewsagency.com\/news\/full-text-of-popes-in-flight-interview-from-manila-to-rome-84716\/\">Catholic News Agency<\/a><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">This is a succinct summary of Catholic social teaching on unity between nations. But today, the Black Ship shares its treasures of gold only with those who tether their free will and <em>conscience <\/em>to her stern, thereby losing their individual or national soul. While many are fixated on Francis&#8217; reference to Catholics not being obliged to &#8216;breed like rabbits,&#8217; we ought to give our greater attention to the serious harbinger that Francis is exposing in his candid remarks to the globe&#8217;s journalists in the same interview.<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">RELIGION AND REASON<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">One of the great lies propagated by the Black Ship in our times, only inflamed by deranged killers in the name of Islam, is the notion that <em>religion<\/em> causes wars. Indeed, we hear the new atheists thumping this tune out over and over again before the gullible. However, Pope Francis rightly points out (most certainly to deaf ears) that:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><strong>It is not religion that causes fanaticism&#8230; but \u201cman\u2019s forgetfulness of God, and his failure to give him glory, which gives rise to violence.\u201d<\/strong> \u2014POPE FRANCIS, speech to European Parliament, Nov. 25th, 2014;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/Big-Peace\/2014\/11\/25\/Pope-Francis-to-European-Union-Keep-Democracy-Alive\"> brietbart.com<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">This is a very telling statement, for it presumes the first and most basic truth that man is essentially a &#8220;religious being&#8221;, <span class=\"footnote_referrer\"><a role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\" onclick=\"footnote_moveToReference_17686_1('footnote_plugin_reference_17686_1_5');\" onkeypress=\"footnote_moveToReference_17686_1('footnote_plugin_reference_17686_1_5');\" ><sup id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_17686_1_5\" class=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text\">[5]<\/sup><\/a><span id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_17686_1_5\" class=\"footnote_tooltip\">cf. <em>Catechism of the Catholic Church, <\/em>n. 28<\/span><\/span><script type=\"text\/javascript\"> jQuery('#footnote_plugin_tooltip_17686_1_5').tooltip({ tip: '#footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_17686_1_5', tipClass: 'footnote_tooltip', effect: 'fade', predelay: 0, fadeInSpeed: 200, delay: 400, fadeOutSpeed: 200, position: 'top right', relative: true, offset: [10, 10], });<\/script> evidenced time and again across generations, cultures, and millennia.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000066; font-family: 'Trebuchet MS';\">The desire for God is written in the human heart, because man is created by God and for God; and God never ceases to draw man to himself. Only in God will he find the truth and happiness he never stops searching for: <\/span><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000066; font-family: 'Trebuchet MS';\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/youngprayerwarrior.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"245\" height=\"293\" align=\"left\" hspace=\"5\" vspace=\"2\" \/><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/strong><\/span><span style=\"color: #000066; font-family: 'Trebuchet MS';\">The dignity of man rests above all on the fact that he is called to communion with <\/span><span style=\"color: #000066; font-family: 'Trebuchet MS';\">God. This invitation to converse with God is addressed to man as soon as he comes into being.<\/span><\/strong> \u2014<em>Catechism of the Catholic Church, <\/em>n. 27<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">I remember reading many years ago of a Communist experiment where a boy was put into complete isolation from the outside world so as to insulate him from any language or notion of God. But one day, his handlers walked into his room to find the young lad on his knees <em>praying. <\/em><\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">It is when we begin to <em>ignore<\/em> the voice of the divine, that violence in all its forms bursts out upon us: the violence of Islam or the violence of the abortionist are symptoms of the same disease\u2014the separation of faith and reason. \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<div align=\"left\">\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><strong>While we rejoice in the new possibilities open to humanity, we also see the dangers arising from these possibilities and we must ask ourselves how we can overcome them. We will succeed in doing so only if reason and faith come together in a new way&#8230;<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014POPE BENEDICT, Lecture at the University of Regensburg, Germany; September 12th, 2006; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.vatican.va\/holy_father\/benedict_xvi\/speeches\/2006\/september\/documents\/hf_ben-xvi_spe_20060912_university-regensburg_en.html\">vatican.va<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">It is more than ironic that secular humanists accuse Catholics of being closed to reason. Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves&#8230; (Rom 1:20-24)<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">Another example of this eclipse of reason in our times is the promotion of gay &#8220;marriage&#8221; as an equivalent of &#8220;traditional&#8221; marriage while circumventing both biological and sociological data. For instance, there is a growing imposition on Catholic adoption agencies to adopt to gay couples. The constant mantra of the LGBT movement, of course, is that these gender identities are &#8220;natural.&#8221; However, since two men (or two women) cannot naturally conceive children between each other, it is therefore <em>not<\/em> natural to have children in this arrangement. Thus, the &#8220;natural&#8221; argument falls on its face, and yet, it is Catholics who are increasingly &#8220;hated by all nations&#8221; for insisting that mankind is guided by natural law, and not merely the whims of the current generation\u2014most especially that of ideological judges. <span class=\"footnote_referrer\"><a role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\" onclick=\"footnote_moveToReference_17686_1('footnote_plugin_reference_17686_1_8');\" onkeypress=\"footnote_moveToReference_17686_1('footnote_plugin_reference_17686_1_8');\" ><sup id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_17686_1_8\" class=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text\">[8]<\/sup><\/a><span id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_17686_1_8\" class=\"footnote_tooltip\">cf. <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/the-black-ship-part-i\/\">The Black Ship &#8211; Part I<\/a><\/em> and <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/persecution-spiritual-tsunami\/\">The Moral Tsunami<\/a><\/em><\/span><\/span><script type=\"text\/javascript\"> jQuery('#footnote_plugin_tooltip_17686_1_8').tooltip({ tip: '#footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_17686_1_8', tipClass: 'footnote_tooltip', effect: 'fade', predelay: 0, fadeInSpeed: 200, delay: 400, fadeOutSpeed: 200, position: 'top right', relative: true, offset: [10, 10], });<\/script><\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">FALSE ECUMENISM<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">And so we see the assault of the Black Ship upon the Barque of Peter\u2014upon every human being in fact\u2014that is twofold. In fact, we have witnessed in just a few short decades nearly all of the mainstream religions caving in to the relativists. As a result, a <em>new ecumenical movement<\/em> has begun. In this way of thinking, most of the time there is a presupposition that the different religions are variations of a single and identical reality; that \u201creligion\u201d is a common genre that takes on different forms according to the different cultures but nonetheless expresses the same reality. The question of truth, which in the beginning moved Christians more than all the rest, is here put in parentheses&#8230; This renunciation of the truth seems realistic and useful for peace among religions in the world. The strategy which he used and continues to use is that of not revealing himself, so that the evil implanted by him from the beginning may receive its development from man himself, from systems and from relationships between individuals, from classes and nations\u2014so as also to become ever more a \u201cstructural\u201d sin, ever less identifiable as \u201cpersonal\u201d sin. It&#8217;s not that they are falling for the false church, but <em>rejecting the true Church. <\/em>They see any form of ecumenism as a deception; they confuse mercy with heresy; they see charity as compromise; they see Pope Francis as a false prophet, much the way Christ was considered a false prophet because he did not fit into &#8220;the box.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">I have people writing saying, &#8220;You are so blind! Can&#8217;t you see how Pope Francis is leading us into a false church!!&#8221; And my response is, &#8220;Can&#8217;t you see how Christ continues to lead us in truth despite the weakness of His shepherds? Where is your faith in Christ?&#8221; Some of the most vociferous and uncharitable attacks on my ministry are not from atheists, but <em>Catholics<\/em> who sit on thrones like the Pharisees of old. Their faith is in the letter of the law rather than the Spirit of love. It doesn&#8217;t matter that Pope Francis has not changed doctrine (and has, in fact, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/2018\/04\/24\/pope-francis-on\/\">reaffirmed the moral teaching of the faith numerous times<\/a>); he doesn&#8217;t talk like a <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/lightship.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"210\" height=\"313\" align=\"right\" hspace=\"3\" \/>pope, and therefore they reason, he can&#8217;t be one.
