To exist as a body in unity,<em> in the unanimity of hearts that makes prayer acceptable to God<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">III. <em>Intimate association with the suffering of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus<\/em>. <span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><span class=\"footnote_referrer\"><a role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\" onclick=\"footnote_moveToReference_18168_1('footnote_plugin_reference_18168_1_1');\" onkeypress=\"footnote_moveToReference_18168_1('footnote_plugin_reference_18168_1_1');\" ><sup id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_18168_1_1\" class=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text\">[1]<\/sup><\/a><span id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_18168_1_1\" class=\"footnote_tooltip\">cf. As St. John heard and saw in a vision:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Courier New', Courier, mono; font-size: small;\">Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory. For the wedding day of the Lamb has come, <em>his bride has made herself ready. She was allowed to wear a bright, clean linen garment.<\/em>\u00a0(Rev 19:7-8)<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">That is, she was allowed a &#8220;new and divine&#8221; holiness&#8230;<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">THE GIFT<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\" align=\"LEFT\">Several mystics have spoken of this new era that is coming, though\u00a0using different terms\u00a0to describe it. &#8216;These include the \u201cMystical Incarnation\u201d of Venerable Conchita de Armida and Arhcbishop Luis Martinez, the \u201cNew Indwelling\u201d of Blessed Elizabeth of the Trinity, the \u201cAssumption of Souls in Love\u201d of St. Maxamilian Kolbe, the \u201cDivine Substitution\u201d of Blessed Dina Belanger&#8217;, <span class=\"footnote_referrer\"><a role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\" onclick=\"footnote_moveToReference_18168_1('footnote_plugin_reference_18168_1_2');\" onkeypress=\"footnote_moveToReference_18168_1('footnote_plugin_reference_18168_1_2');\" ><sup id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_18168_1_2\" class=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text\">[2]<\/sup><\/a><span id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_18168_1_2\" class=\"footnote_tooltip\">cf. <em><a href=\"https:\/\/danieloconnor.files.wordpress.com\/2015\/06\/the-crown-and-completion-of-all-sanctity.pdf\">The Crown and Completion of All Sanctities<\/a><\/em>\u00a0by Daniel O&#8217;Connor, p. 11; available <em><a href=\"https:\/\/danieloconnor.files.wordpress.com\/2015\/06\/the-crown-and-completion-of-all-sanctity.pdf\">here<\/a><\/em><\/span><\/span><script type=\"text\/javascript\"> jQuery('#footnote_plugin_tooltip_18168_1_2').tooltip({ tip: '#footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_18168_1_2', tipClass: 'footnote_tooltip', effect: 'fade', predelay: 0, fadeInSpeed: 200, delay: 400, fadeOutSpeed: 200, position: 'top right', relative: true, offset: [10, 10], });<\/script> the &#8220;Flame of Love&#8221; of Elizabeth Kindelmann (at least as its beginning), and the &#8220;Gift of Living in the Divine Will&#8221; of Servant of God Luisa Piccarreta.<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">This &#8220;new and divine&#8221; holiness is essentially the state of being<em> in <\/em>the Divine Will that belonged to Adam and Eve before the fall, and that was recovered in the &#8220;new Eve&#8221;, Mary, and of course was Christ&#8217;s constant mode, the &#8220;new Adam.&#8221; <span class=\"footnote_referrer\"><a role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\" onclick=\"footnote_moveToReference_18168_1('footnote_plugin_reference_18168_1_3');\" onkeypress=\"footnote_moveToReference_18168_1('footnote_plugin_reference_18168_1_3');\" ><sup id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_18168_1_3\" class=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text\">[3]<\/sup><\/a><span id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_18168_1_3\" class=\"footnote_tooltip\">cf. 1 Cor 15:45<\/span><\/span><script type=\"text\/javascript\"> jQuery('#footnote_plugin_tooltip_18168_1_3').tooltip({ tip: '#footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_18168_1_3', tipClass: 'footnote_tooltip', effect: 'fade', predelay: 0, fadeInSpeed: 200, delay: 400, fadeOutSpeed: 200, position: 'top right', relative: true, offset: [10, 10], });<\/script>\u00a0The Blessed Virgin Mary, as I have written before, is the <em>key <\/em>to understanding the nature of the Church as she is, <em>and is going to be<\/em>. <span class=\"footnote_referrer\"><a role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\" onclick=\"footnote_moveToReference_18168_1('footnote_plugin_reference_18168_1_4');\" onkeypress=\"footnote_moveToReference_18168_1('footnote_plugin_reference_18168_1_4');\" ><sup id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_18168_1_4\" class=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text\">[4]<\/sup><\/a><span id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_18168_1_4\" class=\"footnote_tooltip\">cf. <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/key-to-the-woman\/\">The Key to the Woman<\/a><\/em><\/span><\/span><script type=\"text\/javascript\"> jQuery('#footnote_plugin_tooltip_18168_1_4').tooltip({ tip: '#footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_18168_1_4', tipClass: 'footnote_tooltip', effect: 'fade', predelay: 0, fadeInSpeed: 200, delay: 400, fadeOutSpeed: 200, position: 'top right', relative: true, offset: [10, 10], });<\/script>What will this look like?\u00a0<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><strong><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/Venerable-Concepcion-Cabrera-de-Armida-2_Fotor.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"219\" height=\"296\" align=\"left\" hspace=\"5\" vspace=\"2\" \/><\/strong><\/span>Jesus explained to Venerable Conchita:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><em><strong>This is much more than spiritual marriage. It is the grace of incarnating Me, of living and growing in your soul, never to leave it, to possess you and to be possessed by you as in one and the same substance. It is I who communicate it to your soul in a compenetration which cannot be comprehended: it is the grace of graces&#8230; It is a union of the same nature as that of the union of heaven, except that in paradise the veil which conceals the Divinity disappears&#8230; <\/strong><\/em>\u2014cited in <em><a href=\"https:\/\/danieloconnor.files.wordpress.com\/2015\/06\/the-crown-and-completion-of-all-sanctity.pdf\">The Crown and Completion of All Sanctities<\/a>, <\/em>by Daniel O&#8217;Connor, p. 11-12; nb. Ronda Chervin, <em>Walk with Me, Jesus<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">It is again, in a word, to live <em>in <\/em>the Divine Will. What does this mean? Brothers and sisters, it has been reserved for these times, but I believe <em>mostly the times to come, <\/em>to unpack the full theology and breadth of what God is and is going to do. And we&#8217;ve only just begun. As Jesus said to Luisa:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><strong><em>The time in which these writings will be made known is relative to and dependent on the disposition of souls who wish to receive so great a good, as well as on the effort of those who must apply themselves in being its trumpet-bearers by offering up the sacrifice of heralding in the new era of peace\u2026<\/em> <\/strong>\u2014Jesus to Luisa, <em>The Gift of Living in the Divine Will in the Writings of Luisa Piccarreta<\/em>, n. 1.11.6, Rev. Joseph Iannuzzi<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">St. Louis de Montfort perhaps captures best the groaning that is steadily rising from the body of Christ for this new divine <em>gift <\/em> as <span style=\"font-size: small;\"><strong><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/st_louiseFotor.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"222\" height=\"288\" align=\"right\" hspace=\"2\" \/><\/strong><\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/fullness-of-sin\/\"><em>evil continues to exhaust itself<\/em><\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><strong>Your divine commandments are broken, your Gospel is thrown aside, torrents of iniquity flood the whole earth carrying away even your servants&#8230; Will everything come to the same end as Sodom and Gomorrah? Will you never break your silence? Will you tolerate all this for ever? Is it not true that your will must be done on earth as it is in heaven? Is it not true that your kingdom must come? Did you not give to some souls, dear to you, a vision of the future renewal of the Church? <\/strong>\u2014<em>Prayer for Missionaries<\/em>, n. 5; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ewtn.com\/library\/Montfort\/PMISSION.HTM\">www.ewtn.com<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">Rather than try to unfold here what took Luisa 36 volumes to write\u2014a work that remains largely unedited and untranslated (and is, in fact, under a moratorium for being published, save for a few works mentioned below), I will just add one more hint of this coming grace before returning to my particular mission of &#8220;heralding in the new era of peace.&#8221; <span class=\"footnote_referrer\"><a role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\" onclick=\"footnote_moveToReference_18168_1('footnote_plugin_reference_18168_1_5');\" onkeypress=\"footnote_moveToReference_18168_1('footnote_plugin_reference_18168_1_5');\" ><sup id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_18168_1_5\" class=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text\">[5]<\/sup><\/a><span id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_18168_1_5\" class=\"footnote_tooltip\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><strong>&#8220;A new age in which love is not greedy or self-seeking, but pure, faithful and genuinely free, open to others, respectful of their dignity, seeking their good, radiating joy and beauty. A new age in which hope liberates us from the shallowness, apathy, and self-absorption which deaden our souls and poison our relationships. Dear young friends, the Lord is asking you to be prophets of this new age\u2026&#8221;<\/strong> \u2014POPE BENEDICT XVI, Homily, World Youth Day, Sydney, Australia, July 20th, 200<\/span>8<\/span><\/span><script type=\"text\/javascript\"> jQuery('#footnote_plugin_tooltip_18168_1_5').tooltip({ tip: '#footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_18168_1_5', tipClass: 'footnote_tooltip', effect: 'fade', predelay: 0, fadeInSpeed: 200, delay: 400, fadeOutSpeed: 200, position: 'top right', relative: true, offset: [10, 10], });<\/script><\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">In his landmark Doctoral Dissertation, which carries the Pontifical Gregorian University&#8217;s seals of approval as well as ecclesiastical approval authorized by the Holy See, theologian Rev. Joseph Iannuzzi gives us a bit more of glimpse of this grace of the coming &#8220;new Pentecost&#8221; that the Popes of the past century have been praying for.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><strong>Throughout her writings Luisa presents the gift of Living in the Divine Will as a new and divine indwelling in the soul, which she refers to as the &#8220;Real Life&#8221; of Christ. The Real Life of Christ consists primarily of the soul\u2019s continuous participation in the life of Jesus in the Eucharist. While God may become substantially present in an inanimate host, Luisa affirms that the same may be said of an animate subject, i.e., the human soul.<\/strong> \u2014<em>The Gift of Living in the Divine Will, <\/em>by Rev. Joseph Iannuzzi, n. 4.1.21, p. 119<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">This transformation into a &#8216; &#8220;living Host&#8221; that perfectly mirrors Jesus&#8217; interior state&#8217;, <span class=\"footnote_referrer\"><a role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\" onclick=\"footnote_moveToReference_18168_1('footnote_plugin_reference_18168_1_6');\" onkeypress=\"footnote_moveToReference_18168_1('footnote_plugin_reference_18168_1_6');\" ><sup id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_18168_1_6\" class=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text\">[6]<\/sup><\/a><span id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_18168_1_6\" class=\"footnote_tooltip\">Ibid. n. 4.1.22, p. 123<\/span><\/span><script type=\"text\/javascript\"> jQuery('#footnote_plugin_tooltip_18168_1_6').tooltip({ tip: '#footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_18168_1_6', tipClass: 'footnote_tooltip', effect: 'fade', predelay: 0, fadeInSpeed: 200, delay: 400, fadeOutSpeed: 200, position: 'top right', relative: true, offset: [10, 10], });<\/script> while still remaining a creature with full free will and faculties but wholly united to the inner life of the Holy Trinity, will come about as a new gift, a new grace, a new sanctity that will, according to Luisa, make the sanctity of the saints of the <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/luis_montfort_virgen_Fotor_000.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"216\" height=\"287\" align=\"left\" hspace=\"5\" vspace=\"2\" \/>past seem as but a shadow in comparison. In the words of that great Marian saint:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><strong>Towards the end of the world\u2026 Almighty God and His Holy Mother are to raise up great saints who will surpass in holiness most other saints as much as the cedars of Lebanon tower above little shrubs<\/strong>. \u2014St. Louis de Montfort, <em>True Devotion to Mary<\/em>, Art. 47<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">But you might be saying by now, &#8220;What&#8230;? Greater sanctity than Catherina of Sienna, than John of the Cross, than St. Francis of Assisi??&#8221; The answer as to why lies in the riddle of the ages&#8230;<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">THE RIDDLE OF THE AGES<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">A while ago, a thought came to me to write about the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/the-three-ages\/\"><em>The Coming Age of Love<\/em><\/a> and\u00a0the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/the-four-ages-of-grace\/\"> <em>Four Ages of Grace<\/em><\/a>. (John 17:21-23)<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">In the second century apostolic &#8220;Epistle of Barnabas&#8221;, the Church Father speaks of this coming sanctity <em>after<\/em> the appearance of the Antichrist and to take place during a period of &#8220;rest&#8221; for the Church:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\"><strong>&#8230;when His Son, coming [again], shall destroy the time of the wicked man, and judge the ungodly, and change the sun, and the moon, and the stars, then shall He truly rest on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/the-coming-sabbath-rest\/\">seventh day<\/a>. Moreover, He says, <q>You shall sanctify it with pure hands and a pure heart.<\/q> If, therefore, any one can now sanctify the day which God has sanctified, except he is pure in heart in all things, we are deceived. Behold, therefore: certainly then one properly resting sanctifies it, when we ourselves, having received the promise, wickedness no longer existing, and all things having been made new by the Lord, shall be able to work righteousness. They came to life and <em>they reigned with Christ<\/em> for a thousand years. (Rev 20:4)<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">GREATER THAN ST. FRANCIS?<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">Perhaps we can understand why the holiness of the saints of this next era will surpass that of previous generations by going back to the threshold of the second age of grace, the &#8220;Fiat of Redemption.&#8221; Jesus said,<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Courier New', Courier, mono; font-size: small;\">Amen, I say to you, among those born of women there has been none greater than John the Baptist; yet the least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he. (Matt 11:11)<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">You see, Abraham, Moses, John the Baptist, etc. were great men whose faith was credited to them. Yet, Jesus makes the point<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" style=\"margin: 2px 5px 2px 5px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/Abraham.jpg\" width=\"347\" height=\"222\" \/>that the\u00a0<em>Fiat of Redemption <\/em>gave the next generation something greater, and that is the gift of the indwelling Trinity. The age\u00a0of Faith gave way to a living Hope and new possibility of sanctity and communion with God. For this reason, even the least in the Kingdom possesses something greater than the patriarchs before them. Writes St. Paul:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Courier New', Courier, mono; font-size: small;\">God had foreseen something better for us, so that without us they should not be made perfect. (Heb 11:40)<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">But <em>with us, <\/em>they will know perfection and all the glory their faith in God merits (and how that looks in eternity is known only to God. Abraham may in fact reach a higher stage of glory than canonized saints. Who knows?)<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">When Luisa asked the Lord this very question of how it is possible that there has been no saint who always did God&#8217;s most Holy Will and who lived &#8216;in your Will&#8217;, Jesus replied:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><em><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><strong>Of course there have been saints who have always done My Will, but they have taken from My Will only as much as they knew about. <\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">Jesus then compares His Divine Will to a &#8220;sumptuous palace&#8221; to <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/Palace_Fotor.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"250\" height=\"201\" align=\"left\" hspace=\"5\" vspace=\"2\" \/>whom He, like its prince, has revealed, bit by bit, age by age, its glory:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<div align=\"left\">\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><strong><em>To one group of people he has shown the way to get to his palace; to a second group he has pointed out the door; to the third he has shown the staircase; to the fourth the first rooms; and to the last group he has opened all the rooms&#8230; <\/em><\/strong>\u2014Jesus to Luisa, Vol. XIV, November 6th, 1922, <em>Saints in the Divine Will <\/em>by Fr.
