The wave of delusion continues&#8230;<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><!--more--><\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">THE COLLAPSE&#8230;<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">In Italy, the health ministry is outlining plans to double child benefits to would-be parents in order to combat the declining birth rate in that country\u2014an issue in many European countries. The BBC reported that fewer babies were born in Italy in 2015 since the modern state was founded in 1861.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><strong>If we carry on as we are and fail to reverse the trend, there will be fewer than 350,000 births a year in 10 years&#8217; time, 40% less than in 2010 \u2014 an apocalypse. <\/strong>\u2014Beatrice Lorenzin, Health Minister, BBC.com, May 15th, 2016<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>What the report failed to mention was that, since 1978, Italians have aborted over 5.5 million of their children, with over a half million alone in the past five years. <span class=\"footnote_referrer\"><a role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\" onclick=\"footnote_moveToReference_24026_1('footnote_plugin_reference_24026_1_2');\" onkeypress=\"footnote_moveToReference_24026_1('footnote_plugin_reference_24026_1_2');\" ><sup id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_24026_1_2\" class=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text\">[2]<\/sup><\/a><span id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_24026_1_2\" class=\"footnote_tooltip\">cf. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.johnstonsarchive.net\/policy\/abortion\/ab-italy.html\">www.johnstonsarchive.net<\/a><\/span><\/span><script type=\"text\/javascript\"> jQuery('#footnote_plugin_tooltip_24026_1_2').tooltip({ tip: '#footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_24026_1_2', tipClass: 'footnote_tooltip', effect: 'fade', predelay: 0, fadeInSpeed: 200, delay: 400, fadeOutSpeed: 200, position: 'top right', relative: true, offset: [10, 10], });<\/script> That number excludes the tens of millions that were never conceived through artificial contraception.\u00a0At this rate, Italy as we know it will cease to exist within a few generations. Vladimir Putin&#8217;s criticism of the West is a virtual indictment:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: small;\">What else but the loss of the ability to self-reproduce could act as the greatest testimony of the moral crisis facing a human society? <\/span><\/strong><span style=\"font-size: small;\">\u2014speech to the final plenary meeting of the Valdai International Discussion Club, Sept. 19th, 2013; rt.com<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">While a demographic winter begins to grip Italy, Germany, and other European nations, America is not far behind.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Indeed, the birthrate over here has plummeted to the lowest levels in U.S. history, rivaling even the most dismal days of the Great Depression. From 2007 to 2011, which is the period where the latest hard data exists, the fertility rate fell by 9 percent.<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"font-size: small;\"> \u2014Regis Martin, <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.crisismagazine.com\/2014\/the-coming-demographic-winter\">Crisis Magazine<\/a>, <\/em>January 7th, 2014<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">And why wouldn&#8217;t the rate fall? While on the local level, some progress has been made to restrict abortion, contraception is still widely used, even among Catholics. Moreover, those who govern the nation continue to fund abortion, while mainstream feminists\u00a0like Camille Paglia openly trumpet and justify the eugenics program that Obama and presidential candidate Hillary Clinton wholeheartedly embrace.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: small;\">I have always frankly admitted that abortion is murder, the extermination of the powerless by the powerful. Liberals for the most part have shrunk from facing the ethical consequences of their embrace of abortion, which results in the annihilation of concrete individuals and not just clumps of insensate tissue. The state in my view has no authority whatever to intervene in the biological processes of any woman\u2019s body, which nature has implanted there before birth and hence before that woman\u2019s entrance into society and citizenship.<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"font-size: small;\"> \u2014Camille Paglia, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.salon.com\/2008\/09\/10\/palin_10\/\"><em>Salon<\/em><\/a>, Sept. 10th, 2008<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">In the meantime, the body parts of aborted babies likely continue to be sold through Planned Parenthood, according to an undercover investigation that video-taped the damning evidence. However, rather than charging the national abortion provider with illegal practices, the <em>undercover investigators,<\/em> David Daldein and Sandra Merritt, were charged with a felony of tampering with a governmental record. <span class=\"footnote_referrer\"><a role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\" onclick=\"footnote_moveToReference_24026_1('footnote_plugin_reference_24026_1_3');\" onkeypress=\"footnote_moveToReference_24026_1('footnote_plugin_reference_24026_1_3');\" ><sup id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_24026_1_3\" class=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text\">[3]<\/sup><\/a><span id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_24026_1_3\" class=\"footnote_tooltip\">cf. <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2016\/01\/26\/us\/2-abortion-foes-behind-planned-parenthood-videos-are-indicted.html?_r=0\">New York Times<\/a><\/em>, January 25th, 2016<\/span><\/span><script type=\"text\/javascript\"> jQuery('#footnote_plugin_tooltip_24026_1_3').tooltip({ tip: '#footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_24026_1_3', tipClass: 'footnote_tooltip', effect: 'fade', predelay: 0, fadeInSpeed: 200, delay: 400, fadeOutSpeed: 200, position: 'top right', relative: true, offset: [10, 10], });<\/script> \u00a0It is perhaps one of the most stunning injustices in a very, very long while.<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">In Canada, there has been much hullaballoo over the high rate of suicides taking place on native reserves in the past year. <span class=\"footnote_referrer\"><a role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\" onclick=\"footnote_moveToReference_24026_1('footnote_plugin_reference_24026_1_4');\" onkeypress=\"footnote_moveToReference_24026_1('footnote_plugin_reference_24026_1_4');\" ><sup id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_24026_1_4\" class=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text\">[4]<\/sup><\/a><span id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_24026_1_4\" class=\"footnote_tooltip\"><em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2016\/04\/12\/world\/americas\/suicides-plague-attawapiskat-aboriginal-community-canada.html\">New York Times<\/a>,<\/em>April 16th, 2016<\/span><\/span><script type=\"text\/javascript\"> jQuery('#footnote_plugin_tooltip_24026_1_4').tooltip({ tip: '#footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_24026_1_4', tipClass: 'footnote_tooltip', effect: 'fade', predelay: 0, fadeInSpeed: 200, delay: 400, fadeOutSpeed: 200, position: 'top right', relative: true, offset: [10, 10], });<\/script> And rightly so. However,\u00a0at the very same time, the Supreme Court of Canada has ruled it legal for physicians to euthanize patients or assist those who want to commit suicide\u00a0who are not only enduring physical, but also psychological suffering. That is to say, while politicians are staging photo-ops and expressing horror\u00a0about the high rate of suicides, they are also diligently crafting guidelines\u00a0to help people kill themselves. More tragically, doctors who have taken an oath of sorts to preserve and nurture life, may be legislated\u2014against their consciences\u2014to destroy it. So perhaps the &#8220;horror&#8221; some feel is not that those people committed suicide or were attempting to do so, but that they didn&#8217;t have access to do it more efficiently in a sanitized room\u2014like\u00a0our abortuaries.\u00a0The irony is staggering, the collapse in logic, breathtaking.<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">Living up to Newsweek&#8217;s title of &#8220;the first gay president,&#8221; Barack Obama continues to defy logic. First of all, he called for an end to so-called &#8220;conversion therapy&#8221;\u2014efforts to counsel gay, lesbian, or transgender individuals who <em>want<\/em> to identify with their biological sex, that is, be heterosexual. <span class=\"footnote_referrer\"><a role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\" onclick=\"footnote_moveToReference_24026_1('footnote_plugin_reference_24026_1_5');\" onkeypress=\"footnote_moveToReference_24026_1('footnote_plugin_reference_24026_1_5');\" ><sup id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_24026_1_5\" class=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text\">[5]<\/sup><\/a><span id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_24026_1_5\" class=\"footnote_tooltip\">cf. <a href=\"https:\/\/petitions.whitehouse.gov\/petition\/enact-leelahs-law-ban-all-lgbtq-conversion-therapy?version=meter%20at%206&amp;module=meter-Links&amp;pgtype=article&amp;contentId=&amp;mediaId=&amp;referrer=&amp;priority=true&amp;action=click&amp;contentCollection=meter-links-click\">petitions.whitehouse.gov<\/a><\/span><\/span><script type=\"text\/javascript\"> jQuery('#footnote_plugin_tooltip_24026_1_5').tooltip({ tip: '#footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_24026_1_5', tipClass: 'footnote_tooltip', effect: 'fade', predelay: 0, fadeInSpeed: 200, delay: 400, fadeOutSpeed: 200, position: 'top right', relative: true, offset: [10, 10], });<\/script> The obvious, logical problem that arises, is what happens when\u00a0a male, who wants to identify as a female, wants to become a\u00a0male again? Obama&#8217;s condemnation of therapy effectively discriminates against a homosexual man, for instance, who wants therapeutic help to become one of the other 71 gender identities that Facebook lists\u00a0when registering an account. Such individual&#8217;s &#8220;freedom&#8221; would be restricted from receiving counseling.\u00a0How educated lawmen cannot see the inherent contradictions is mind-boggling.<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">But in what amounts to a more stunning statement (prepared and aided by the latter), the American President recently threatened with lawsuits or de-funding\u00a0those public\u00a0schools who do not allow students to &#8216;participate in sex-segregated activities and access sex-segregated facilities consistent with their gender identity.&#8217; <span class=\"footnote_referrer\"><a role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\" onclick=\"footnote_moveToReference_24026_1('footnote_plugin_reference_24026_1_6');\" onkeypress=\"footnote_moveToReference_24026_1('footnote_plugin_reference_24026_1_6');\" ><sup id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_24026_1_6\" class=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text\">[6]<\/sup><\/a><span id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_24026_1_6\" class=\"footnote_tooltip\">cf. May 13th, 2016; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justice.gov\/opa\/pr\/us-departments-justice-and-education-release-joint-guidance-help-schools-ensure-civil-rights\">www.justice.gov<\/a><\/span><\/span><script type=\"text\/javascript\"> jQuery('#footnote_plugin_tooltip_24026_1_6').tooltip({ tip: '#footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_24026_1_6', tipClass: 'footnote_tooltip', effect: 'fade', predelay: 0, fadeInSpeed: 200, delay: 400, fadeOutSpeed: 200, position: 'top right', relative: true, offset: [10, 10], });<\/script> This essentially means a boy, who decides that he identifies as\u00a0a girl, has access to bathrooms, locker-rooms, and sho<br \/>\nwers\u00a0reserved for girls.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: small;\">There is no room in our schools for discrimination of any kind, including discrimination against transgender students on the basis of their sex.<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"font-size: small;\"> \u2014Attorney General Loretta Lynch, May 14th, 2016, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2016\/05\/12\/politics\/transgender-bathrooms-obama-administration\/index.html\">CNN.com<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">It also means sexual perverts, feigning their gender, can likewise gain access to whatever &#8220;room&#8221; they want. It not only amounts to a colossal collapse in logic and reason, but is an unparalleled and direct attack upon the safety and dignity of children\u2014<em>a formal declaration of war<\/em> upon their innocence and fundamental right to safety.\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Gender theory is an error of the human mind that leads to so much confusion. So the family is under attack&#8230;. And I heard in my heart the words:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><em>I have lifted the restrainer.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">At the time, I did not know what this meant. But that night in my motel room, I opened my Bible straight to 2 Thessalonians 2:3 where it speaks about a restrainer that holds back both lawlessness (apostasy) and &#8220;the lawless one&#8221;, the antichrist. St. Paul goes on to write that God is sending&#8230;<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Courier New', Courier, mono; font-size: small;\">&#8230;upon them a strong delusion, to make them believe what is false, so that all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness. (2 Thess 2:11)<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">I am at a loss for words for what is happening at this hour\u2014especially with so much silence from the men of the Church\u2014except to say that what we are seeing now is what would seem to be, at the very least, the beginning stages of this &#8220;strong delusion.&#8221; For that is what deception is: to believe as true that which is false, and to take that which is evil as good. It means that we have arrived at an hour where Christian men <em>must<\/em> begin to act with courage and Christian women with bravery. Either we are going to defend our,\u00a0and our neighbour&#8217;s children, or we are going to unwittingly offer them as a holocaust upon the altar of political correctness.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Given such a grave situation, we need now more than ever to have the courage to look the truth in the eye and to call things by their proper name, without yielding to convenient compromises or to the temptation of self-deception.
