JOSEPH, <br \/>\n SPOUSE OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\"><b>To repent is not just to acknowledge that I have done wrong; it is to turn my back on the wrong and start incarnating the Gospel. On this hinges the future of Christianity in the world today. The world does not believe what Christ taught because we do not incarnate it. <br \/>\n <\/b><\/span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">\u2014Servant of God Catherine de Hueck Doherty, <i>Kiss of Christ<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>GOD<\/b> sends His people prophets, not because the Word Made Flesh is not sufficient, but because our reason, darkened by sin, and our faith, wounded by doubt, at times need the special light that Heaven gives in order to exhort us to <em>\u201crepent and believe the Good News.\u201d<\/em> <span class=\"footnote_referrer\"><a role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\" onclick=\"footnote_moveToReference_26842_1('footnote_plugin_reference_26842_1_1');\" onkeypress=\"footnote_moveToReference_26842_1('footnote_plugin_reference_26842_1_1');\" ><sup id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_26842_1_1\" class=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text\">[1]<\/sup><\/a><span id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_26842_1_1\" class=\"footnote_tooltip\">Mark 1:15<\/span><\/span><script type=\"text\/javascript\"> jQuery('#footnote_plugin_tooltip_26842_1_1').tooltip({ tip: '#footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_26842_1_1', tipClass: 'footnote_tooltip', effect: 'fade', predelay: 0, fadeInSpeed: 200, delay: 400, fadeOutSpeed: 200, position: 'top right', relative: true, offset: [10, 10], });<\/script> As the Baroness said, the world does not believe because Christians do not seem to believe either.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>THE LITTLE STONES<\/p>\n<p>There was a moment when the Pharisees wanted Jesus to rebuke His disciples for crying out: <i>&#8220;Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord\u201d<\/i> as He entered Jerusalem. But Jesus responded:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'courier new', courier, monospace; font-size: 10pt;\">I tell you, if they keep silent, the stones will cry out. (Luke 19:40)<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>So what happens when His disciples do <em>not<\/em> cry out the Gospel? What\u00a0happens when His Apostles, for fear of the authorities, flee the Garden of Gethsemane or sell His good Name for thirty pieces of silver (or to <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright  wp-image-26847\" style=\"margin: 1px 2px 1px 2px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/Stonescrying-600x557.jpg\" width=\"254\" height=\"235\" \/>retain their charitable tax status)? <span class=\"footnote_referrer\"><a role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\" onclick=\"footnote_moveToReference_26842_1('footnote_plugin_reference_26842_1_2');\" onkeypress=\"footnote_moveToReference_26842_1('footnote_plugin_reference_26842_1_2');\" ><sup id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_26842_1_2\" class=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text\">[2]<\/sup><\/a><span id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_26842_1_2\" class=\"footnote_tooltip\">cf. <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/of-taxes-and-truth\/\">Counting the Cost<\/a><\/em><\/span><\/span><script type=\"text\/javascript\"> jQuery('#footnote_plugin_tooltip_26842_1_2').tooltip({ tip: '#footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_26842_1_2', tipClass: 'footnote_tooltip', effect: 'fade', predelay: 0, fadeInSpeed: 200, delay: 400, fadeOutSpeed: 200, position: 'top right', relative: true, offset: [10, 10], });<\/script>\u00a0Then God raises up the stones to speak out\u2014like the centurion: <i>\u201cTruly, this was the Son of God!&#8230;<\/i> <span class=\"footnote_referrer\"><a role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\" onclick=\"footnote_moveToReference_26842_1('footnote_plugin_reference_26842_1_3');\" onkeypress=\"footnote_moveToReference_26842_1('footnote_plugin_reference_26842_1_3');\" ><sup id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_26842_1_3\" class=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text\">[3]<\/sup><\/a><span id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_26842_1_3\" class=\"footnote_tooltip\">cf. Indeed, in our days when vast portions of the clergy and laity have fallen silent in clearly enunciating and defending the Gospel and the teachings of Jesus, the Lord has sent prophets in their stead: the little stones of obscure seers, visionaries, and mystics\u2014chief among them, Our Blessed Mother.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>CASTING OUT THE STONES<\/p>\n<p>The day after writing <i><a href=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/turn-on-the-headlights\/\">Turn On the Headlights<\/a>, <\/i>in which is affirmed the Church\u2019s teaching on the place of private\u00a0revelation in her life, and the popes\u2019 exhortations to listen more carefully to prophecy\u00a0in these times of confusion, a message was publicized from Latin American seer and stigmatic, Luz de Maria Bonilla.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\"><i><b>Great deceivers have gone through My Son\u2019s People and the multitudes have followed and follow them; the prophets sent by the House of the Father are rejected. And those who have voluntarily given themselves over to the service of My Son use that power which has been given to them for accompanying and instructing the faithful People, in order to become persecutors of the faithful children of My Son\u2019s Church.<\/b><\/i><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\"><i><b>How My Heart grieves for those who, shielding themselves with &#8220;zeal&#8221; for the Father\u2019s House, want to silence the voice of the instruments that the House of the Father sends to His People, so that with words full of Truth, and going from place to place, they might fulfill the mission of every true child of the Church of My Son&#8230;<\/b><\/i>\u00a0\u2014<i>Our Lady to Luz de Maria, <\/i>March 18th, 2017; translated by Peter Bannister M.Th.; her writings from 2009 on have just received the <em>Imprimatur<\/em>\u00a0from\u00a0Bishop Juan Abelardo Mata Guevara of Esteli, Nicaragua<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft  wp-image-26764\" style=\"margin: 2px 5px 2px 5px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/Marymed2a.jpg\" width=\"239\" height=\"419\" \/>This indictment from\u00a0Our Lady comes on the heels of vociferous public attacks in Catholic media and the blogosphere on the phenomenon of Medjugorje (which the Vatican has <i>not <\/i>ruled on after thirty years, and has determinedly kept open, even removing jurisdiction on the alleged apparitions from the local bishop), as well as other bishops reversing the decisions of previous bishops on <i>approved <\/i>apparitions of Our Lady, thereby silencing the message of those apparition sites.<\/p>\n<p>Regarding Medjugorje, I have recounted the story of a renowned journalist who witnessed first hand a powerful smear campaign, funded by a billionaire, against the alleged apparitions\u2014falsehoods that the journalist says, until this day, comprise about &#8220;90% of the anti-Medjugorje material out there\u201d (see <i><a href=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/on-medjugorje\/\">On Medjugorje<\/a><\/i>). Indeed, I have seen many of these lies perpetuated and repeated that often amount to little more than pettiness and unsubstantiated gossip. From my perspective as\u00a0a former television journalist, they rarely stand\u00a0the test of objectivity let alone Christian charity.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>A SPIRITUAL BATTLE<\/p>\n<p>But this should not surprise us. Satan knows well the power of the Word of God, whether it comes through the Public Revelation of the Church, or the \u201cprivate revelation&#8221; given through those little stones\u00a0that compliments and calls us back to it. Christ&#8217;s\u00a0Word has the power to <i>change<\/i>, <i>transform<\/i>, and <i>renew<\/i> believers; to gather them like an army to topple Satan&#8217;s kingdom; and to bring about the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart, which the Blessed Mother eagerly anticipates through her constant messages, particularly since Fatima, one hundred years ago.<\/p>\n<p>Those who wish to say such intellectually dishonest things like, \u201cOh, the prayer and\u00a0sacramental life of Medjugorje are fine, but the seers&#8217; messages are demonic deceptions,\u201d ought to reconsider. I have heard many stories of people coming to conversion <i>precisely\u00a0<\/i>through reading the messages of Medjugorje that, if authentic, also constitute the \u201cword of God.\u201d <span class=\"footnote_referrer\"><a role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\" onclick=\"footnote_moveToReference_26842_1('footnote_plugin_reference_26842_1_4');\" onkeypress=\"footnote_moveToReference_26842_1('footnote_plugin_reference_26842_1_4');\" ><sup id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_26842_1_4\" class=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text\">[4]<\/sup><\/a><span id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_26842_1_4\" class=\"footnote_tooltip\">to be differentiated from the &#8220;deposit of faith&#8221; or Public Revelation of the Church.<\/span><\/span><script type=\"text\/javascript\"> jQuery('#footnote_plugin_tooltip_26842_1_4').tooltip({ tip: '#footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_26842_1_4', tipClass: 'footnote_tooltip', effect: 'fade', predelay: 0, fadeInSpeed: 200, delay: 400, fadeOutSpeed: 200, position: 'top right', relative: true, offset: [10, 10], });<\/script><\/p>\n<p>One such case is that of Fr. Donald Calloway. He was a rebellious youth who had zero\u00a0understanding of Catholicism. Then one night, he picked up a book of the messages of Medjugorje. As he read them, something began to change him. He sensed Our Lady\u2019s <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright  wp-image-26844\" style=\"margin: 1px 2px 1px 2px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/calloway-600x400.jpg\" width=\"245\" height=\"163\" \/>presence, was physically healed and transformed overnight from years of drug abuse, and infused with a basic understanding of Catholic truths. To this day, his preaching apostolate and faithfulness to Christ\u2019s Church are an incredible testament to the power of God\u2019s Word\u2014both in Sacred Tradition and in prophetic revelations.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>As a footnote, Fr. Don\u2014and myself\u2014will abide by whatever final decision the Vatican may make in regards to Medjugorje.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>THE POWER OF PROPHECY<\/p>\n<p>St. Paul knew well the power of what we call &#8220;private revelation&#8221;\u2014which is really not &#8220;private&#8221; at all when God intends it for the entire body of Christ or the world. Paul&#8217;s journey in Christianity began when he started receiving &#8220;private&#8221; revelations, first in his conversion, and then when he <i>&#8220;was caught up to the third heaven.\u201d<\/i> <span class=\"footnote_referrer\"><a role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\" onclick=\"footnote_moveToReference_26842_1('footnote_plugin_reference_26842_1_5');\" onkeypress=\"footnote_moveToReference_26842_1('footnote_plugin_reference_26842_1_5');\" ><sup id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_26842_1_5\" class=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text\">[5]<\/sup><\/a><span id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_26842_1_5\" class=\"footnote_tooltip\">2 Cor 12:2<\/span><\/span><script type=\"text\/javascript\"> jQuery('#footnote_plugin_tooltip_26842_1_5').tooltip({ tip: '#footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_26842_1_5', tipClass: 'footnote_tooltip', effect: 'fade', predelay: 0, fadeInSpeed: 200, delay: 400, fadeOutSpeed: 200, position: 'top right', relative: true, offset: [10, 10], });<\/script> Thus, he taught that during <em>\u201cthe assembly\u201d<\/em>\u2014presumably Mass itself<span class=\"footnote_referrer\"><a role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\" onclick=\"footnote_moveToReference_26842_1('footnote_plugin_reference_26842_1_6');\" onkeypress=\"footnote_moveToReference_26842_1('footnote_plugin_reference_26842_1_6');\" ><sup id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_26842_1_6\" class=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text\">[6]<\/sup><\/a><span id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_26842_1_6\" class=\"footnote_tooltip\">cf. 1 Cor 14:23, 26<\/span><\/span><script type=\"text\/javascript\"> jQuery('#footnote_plugin_tooltip_26842_1_6').tooltip({ tip: '#footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_26842_1_6', tipClass: 'footnote_tooltip', effect: 'fade', predelay: 0, fadeInSpeed: 200, delay: 400, fadeOutSpeed: 200, position: 'top right', relative: true, offset: [10, 10], });<\/script>\u2014prophecy should be welcomed, proclaimed, and heard so that if&#8230;<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: 'courier new', courier, monospace;\">&#8230;an unbeliever or uninstructed person should come in, he will be convinced by everyone and judged by everyone, and the secrets of his heart will be disclosed, and so he will fall down and worship God, declaring, \u201cGod is really in your midst.&#8221; (1 Cor 14:24-25)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\"><i><b>I have come to tell the world that God exists. He is the fullness of life, and to enjoy this fullness and peace, you must return to God.<\/b><\/i> \u2014an early message allegedly from <i>Our Lady of Medjugorje <\/i><\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>God\u2019s voice cannot be silenced. We will come to know in these times, one way or another, that He exists. For every little stone that is crushed, muzzled, or cast into the Sea of Doubt and Modernity, God raises up another. Indeed, the Scriptures testify that:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: 'courier new', courier, monospace;\">\u2018It will come to pass in the last days,\u2019 God says, \u2018that I will pour out a portion of my spirit upon all flesh. Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your young men shall see visions, your old men shall dream dreams.\u2019 (Acts 2:17)<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In the Book of Revelation (which is essentially one long prophetic revelation), God\u2019s last resort before He purifies the world is not another papal document, but the word and witness of <i>prophets<\/i>:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: 'courier new', courier, monospace;\">I will commission my two witnesses to prophesy for those twelve hundred and sixty days, wearing sackcloth. (Revelation 11:3)<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft  wp-image-26846\" style=\"margin: 2px 5px 2px 5px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/crossjpii.jpg\" width=\"213\" height=\"267\" \/>In the end, even their blood will be shed as the \u201clast word\u201d to a rebellious generation who, through <i><a href=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/the-great-poisoning\/\">The Great Poisoning<\/a> <\/i>and <i><a href=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/the-great-culling\/\">The Great Culling<\/a>, <\/i>have destroyed God\u2019s creation.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\"><b>If the word has not converted, it will be blood that converts.<\/b> \u2014POPE ST. JOHN PAUL II, from poem <i>Stanislaw<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>And so, St. Paul urged the Church not only to heed the prophetic word of God, but also to stand firm upon the Word of God revealed in Jesus Christ, and passed on through\u00a0<i>Tradition.\u00a0<\/i>Indeed, after warning about the coming deceptions of the Antichrist, St. Paul gives the antidote:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-family: 'courier new', courier, monospace; font-size: 10pt;\">Therefore, brothers, stand firm and hold fast to the traditions that you were taught, either by an oral statement or by a letter of ours.
