What we are doing is <em>completely<\/em>\u00a0and <em>totally<\/em> identifying\u00a0ourselves with our Founder, Jesus Christ. We are renouncing ourselves for the sake of the Gospel, for the sake of <em>souls,<\/em>\u00a0such that\u00a0Jesus&#8217; mission becomes our own.\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\"><strong>[The Church] exists in order to evangelize\u2026<\/strong> \u2014POPE PAUL VI, <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.vatican.va\/holy_father\/paul_vi\/apost_exhortations\/documents\/hf_p-vi_exh_19751208_evangelii-nuntiandi_en.html\">Evangelii Nuntiandi<\/a><\/em>, n. 14<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p align=\"left\"><em>Evangelize<\/em>: it means to spread the truths of the Gospel, first through our witness, and second, through our words. And Jesus gives no illusions regarding the implications.\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: 'courier new', courier, monospace;\">No slave is greater than his master.\u00a0If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you.\u00a0If they kept my word, they will also keep yours. (Today&#8217;s Gospel)<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p align=\"left\">And so it is. In some places, the Good News has been embraced and kept, as it was in Europe for many centuries. In India,\u00a0parts of Africa and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/2016\/02\/12\/russia-our-refuge\/\">Russia<\/a>, Christian churches continue to multiply. But in other places, particularly the West, the other sobering aspect\u00a0of today&#8217;s\u00a0Gospel is unfolding before our very eyes at an exponential rate.\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-family: 'courier new', courier, monospace; font-size: 10pt;\">If the world hates you, realize that it hated me first.\u00a0If you belonged to the world, the world would love its own;\u00a0but because you do not belong to the world,\u00a0and I have chosen you out of the world,\u00a0the world hates you.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p align=\"left\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft  wp-image-29933\" style=\"margin: 2px 5px 2px 5px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/schism-1024x683.jpg\" width=\"285\" height=\"190\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/schism-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/schism-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/schism-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/schism-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/schism-272x182.jpg 272w, https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/schism.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 285px) 100vw, 285px\" \/>As stated\u00a0in\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/2017\/05\/11\/the-great-harvest\/\">The Great Harvest<\/a>,\u00a0<\/em>we are seeing divisions between families and friends and neighbours like never before. Even where the Gospel is on fire in certain countries, they are also being endangered by a New World Order that continues to close-in on Christianity through &#8220;ideological colonization&#8221; and the enabling of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/2016\/08\/07\/the-crisis-of-the-refugee-crisis\/\">radical Islam<\/a>,\u00a0that\u00a0not only threatens local churches, but world stability. The reason, as I have been warning\u00a0for over a decade now here, and in my <a href=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/2009\/09\/18\/the-final-confrontation-the-book\/\">book<\/a>, is that the Church is entering into what St. John Paul II called&#8230;<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\"><strong>&#8230;the final confrontation between the Church and the <em>anti-church<\/em>, of the Gospel and the anti-gospel, between Christ and the anti-christ.<\/strong> \u2014Cardinal Karol Wojtyla (JOHN PAUL II ), at the Eucharistic Congress, Philadelphia, PA; August 13, 1976; Deacon Keith Fournier, an attendee at the Congress, reported the words as\u00a0above; cf. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.catholic.org\/news\/national\/story.php?id=57376\"><i>Catholic Online<\/i><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Cardinal\u00a0Wojtyla\u00a0added the words, &#8220;I do not think that wide circles of the American society or wide circles of the Christian community realize this fully.&#8221; Well, it seems that, at last, some in the clergy are beginning to awaken\u00a0to this reality and address it, even if this confrontation is now nearly full-blown.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\"><strong>This anti-Gospel, which seeks to elevate the individual\u2019s will to consume, to pleasure and to power over the will of God, was rejected by Christ when tempted in the wilderness. Disguised as \u2018human rights,\u2019 it has reappeared, in all its luciferian hubris, to promulgate a narcissistic, hedonistic attitude that rejects any constraint except that imposed by man-made laws.<\/strong> \u2014Fr. loses power again in America, the &#8220;left&#8221;\u2014and those globalists, like George Soros, who are funding or\u00a0empowering them\u2014may very well make sure they\u00a0<em>never\u00a0<\/em>rise to power again.\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\"><strong>\u2026that which is their ultimate purpose forces itself into view\u2014namely, the utter overthrow of that whole religious and political order of the world which the Christian teaching has produced, and the substitution of a new state of things in accordance with their ideas, of which the foundations and laws shall be drawn from mere naturalism.<\/strong> \u2014POPE LEO XIII, <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.vatican.va\/holy_father\/leo_xiii\/encyclicals\/documents\/hf_l-xiii_enc_18840420_humanum-genus_en.html\">Humanum Genus<\/a>, <\/em>Encyclical on Freemasonry, n.10, April 20th, 1884<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Shortly after Donald Trump&#8217;s election, I wrote that\u00a0there is <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/2016\/11\/10\/this-revolutionary-spirit\/\">This Revolutionary Spirit\u00a0<\/a><\/em>afoot in the world\u2014despite the celebrations of some over\u00a0the seeming defeat\u00a0of the &#8220;left.&#8221; The choice, or rather, <em>decision<\/em>\u00a0between\u00a0the two, is becoming more inevitable\u00a0by the hour.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'courier new', courier, monospace; font-size: 10pt;\">Blessed are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness,\u00a0for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.\u00a0Blessed are you when they insult you and persecute you and utter every kind of evil against you [falsely] because of me.
