First published December 6th, 2019.<\/em><\/p>\n <\/p>\n I WANT<\/strong> to say it as clear and loud and boldly as I possibly can: Jesus is coming! <\/em>Did you think that Pope John Paul II was just being poetic when he said:<\/p>\n Dear young people, it is up to you to be the watchmen<\/em> of the morning who announce the coming of the sun who is the Risen Christ!<\/strong> \u2014ST. JOHN PAUL II, Message of the Holy Father to the Youth of the World<\/em>, XVII World Youth Day, n. 3; (cf. Is 21:11-12)<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Would you say that, if this is true, it constitutes a stupendous <\/em>task for these watchmen?<\/p>\n I did not hesitate to ask them to make a radical choice of faith and life and present them with a stupendous task: to become \u201cmorning watchmen\u201d at the dawn of the new millennium<\/strong>. \u2014POPE JOHN PAUL II, Novo Millennio Inuente<\/em>, n.9<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n I have, as best I can, made radical choices of faith and life in order to answer this call, made to me as well, as I stood in the driving rain at World Youth Day in 2002 in the presence of that great Saint. Was not the rain and stormy clouds that day symbolic of the cry of the great Marian saint, Louis de Montfort (who would influence the course of John Paul II’s life and pontificate, whose motto was Totus Tuus <\/em>“totally yours”, as in totally Mary’s in order to be totally Christ’s)?<\/p>\n Your divine commandments are broken, your Gospel is thrown aside, torrents of iniquity flood the whole earth carrying away even your servants\u2026 Will everything come to the same end as Sodom and Gomorrah? Will you never break your silence? Will you tolerate all this for ever? Is it not true that your will must be done on earth as it is in heaven?<\/em> Is it not true that your kingdom must come?<\/em> Did you not give to some souls, dear to you, a vision of the future renewal of the Church?<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0\u2014St. Louis de Montfort, Prayer for Missionaries<\/em>, n. 5;\u00a0<\/span>www.ewtn.com<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n For nearly fifteen years, I have dedicated myself to these writings here, building upon the foundation of the Scriptures, Early Church Fathers, Popes, mystics and seers, and then the works of theologians like Fr. Joseph Iannuzzi, the late Fr. George Kosicki, Benedict XVI, John Paul II, and others. The foundation is strong; the message nearly indisputable, especially as it is confirmed by the “signs of the times” that themselves act, daily, as heralds that Jesus Christ is coming. <\/em><\/p>\n For years, I trembled in my boots, wondering if I was somehow misleading my readers, afraid of presumption, terrified of tumbling over the treacherous cliffs of prophecy. But as time went on, supported by my spiritual director (who appointed one of the most brilliant and prophetic minds in the Church to oversee my writings for a time, Michael D. O’Brien), I began to realize that there is no need to speculate, to draw rash conclusions. God has been speaking through the centuries steadily and clearly through the Magisterium and Our Lady, preparing the Church for the great hour of her own “passion, death, and resurrection” that would see the return of Jesus. But not in the flesh! No! Jesus already came in the flesh. He is returning, rather, to establish His Kingdom on earth as it is in Heaven. <\/em>As my dear friend Daniel O’Connor says so beautifully, “Two thousand years later, the greatest prayer will not go unanswered!”<\/p>\n Thy Kingdom Come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.<\/strong> <\/em>\u2014from the Pater Noster (Matt 6:10)<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n It’s funny how we pray this every day and yet do not really consider what we are praying! The coming of the Kingdom of Christ is equivalent to His will being done “on earth as it is in heaven.”<\/em> What does this mean? It means that Jesus has come, not only to save us, but to sanctify <\/em>us by reestablishing in man what was lost in the Garden of Eden: the union of Adam’s will with the Divine Will. By this, I do not mean a mere perfect conformation of one’s will to God’s. Rather, it is the fusion<\/em> of God’s will in our own so that there is only a single <\/em>will<\/a> remaining.[1]<\/sup><\/a>This is not to say that the human will no longer exists or operates. Rather, it speaks of a unity of wills whereby the human will only operates by the Divine Will such that It becomes the life of the human will. Jesus refers to this new state of sanctity as a “single will<\/a>.” The word “fusion” is meant to suggest a reality of two wills uniting and working as one, dissolved as it were in the fires of charity. When you place two burning logs together and their flames combine, which fire is from which? One does not know because the flame \u201cdissolves\u201d as it were into one single flame. And yet, both logs continue to burn of their own properties. However, the analogy must go further to say that the log of the human will remains unlit and rather takes the flame of the log of the Divine Will, alone. So when they burn with one flame, really, it is the Fire of the Divine Will burning through, with, and in the human will \u2014 all without annihilating the human will or freedom. In the hypostatic union of Christ’s divine and human nature, two wills remain. But Jesus gives no life to His human will. As He said to Servant of God Luisa Piccarreta: “Beloved daughter of my Will, look inside of Me, how my Supreme Will did not concede even one breath of life to the will of my Humanity; and even though It was holy, not even that was conceded to Me. I had to remain under the pressure – more than of a press \u2013 of a Divine, infinite, unending Will, which constituted the life of each one of my heartbeats, words and acts; and my little human will died in every heartbeat, breath, act, word, etc. But It died in reality \u2013 It actually felt death, because It never had life. I only had my human will to make die continuously, and even though this was a great honor for my Humanity, it was the greatest of portents: at every death of my human will, it was substituted by a Life of Divine Will.” <\/i>\u00a0[Volume 16, December 26th, 1923]. Finally, in the Prevenient Morning Offering<\/a> based on Luisa’s writings, we pray: “I fuse myself in the Divine Will and place my I love You, I adore You and I bless You God in the Fiats of creation…”<\/span><\/span>\n
