WHY<\/strong> does the world remain in pain?<\/em><\/a> Because it is the human<\/em>, not Divine Will, that continues to govern mankind’s affairs. On a personal level, when we assert our human will over the Divine, the heart loses its equilibrium and plunges into disorder and unrest\u2014even in the smallest<\/em> assertion over God’s will (for just one flat note can make an otherwise perfectly tuned symphony sound disagreeable). The Divine Will is the anchor of the human heart, but when untethered, the soul is carried away upon the currents of sadness into a sea of disquiet.<\/p>\n

THE INCREDIBLE NOBILITY<\/p>\n

When God created the universe and all it contains, He spoke a single and eternal word: Fiat\u00a0<\/em>“let it be done.” This Fiat was the expression of God’s Will, and thus, this “Divine Will” carries within it the very life<\/em> and power<\/em> of the Creator himself. For no reason other than a boundless love and supreme generosity, God wanted to share this creative power and love with another “made in his image and likeness.”\u00a0<\/em>[1]<\/sup><\/a>Gen 1:26<\/span><\/span>
