The chaos of our recent move to the province of Alberta has been a major upheaval. But the other reason is that a certain hard-heartedness has set in the Church, particularly among educated Catholics who have displayed a shocking lack of discernment and even willingness to see what is unfolding all around them. Even Jesus eventually fell silent when the people became stiff-necked.<span class=\"footnote_referrer\"><a role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\" onclick=\"footnote_moveToReference_41767_1('footnote_plugin_reference_41767_1_1');\" onkeypress=\"footnote_moveToReference_41767_1('footnote_plugin_reference_41767_1_1');\" ><sup id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_41767_1_1\" class=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text\">[1]<\/sup><\/a><span id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_41767_1_1\" class=\"footnote_tooltip\">cf. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/the-silent-answer\/\"><em>The Silent Answer<\/em><\/a><\/span><\/span><script type=\"text\/javascript\"> jQuery('#footnote_plugin_tooltip_41767_1_1').tooltip({ tip: '#footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_41767_1_1', tipClass: 'footnote_tooltip', effect: 'fade', predelay: 0, fadeInSpeed: 200, delay: 400, fadeOutSpeed: 200, position: 'top right', relative: true, offset: [10, 10], });<\/script> Ironically, it is vulgar comedians like Bill Maher or honest feminists like Naomi Wolfe, who have become the unwitting &#8220;prophets&#8221; of our times. They seem to see more clearly these days than a vast majority of the Church! Once the icons of leftwing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/political-correctness-and-the-great-apostasy\/\">political correctness<\/a>, they are now the ones warning that a dangerous ideology is sweeping across the world, eradicating freedom and trampling upon common sense \u2014 even if they express themselves imperfectly. As Jesus said to the Pharisees, &#8220;<em>I tell you, if these [ie. the Church] were silent, the very stones would cry out.&#8221;<\/em> <span class=\"footnote_referrer\"><a role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\" onclick=\"footnote_moveToReference_41767_1('footnote_plugin_reference_41767_1_2');\" onkeypress=\"footnote_moveToReference_41767_1('footnote_plugin_reference_41767_1_2');\" ><sup id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_41767_1_2\" class=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text\">[2]<\/sup><\/a><span id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_41767_1_2\" class=\"footnote_tooltip\">Luke 19:40<\/span><\/span><script type=\"text\/javascript\"> jQuery('#footnote_plugin_tooltip_41767_1_2').tooltip({ tip: '#footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_41767_1_2', tipClass: 'footnote_tooltip', effect: 'fade', predelay: 0, fadeInSpeed: 200, delay: 400, fadeOutSpeed: 200, position: 'top right', relative: true, offset: [10, 10], });<\/script><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>During my time of prayer this morning, nearly every word in the following reflection that I wrote some two years ago, passed through my heart. For whatever reason, it was sitting open in my browser and I knew immediately that I needed to republish this. And so I send it to you now and pray that the right people will read this \u2014 especially those who continue to run from the reality before us. It&#8217;s not that we should become obsessed with prophecy or live hiding under a rock for fear of what is coming. Rather, it is matter of becoming balanced, wise, and courageous Christians who see clearly and become shining beacons of hope and direction. Because there is nothing more damaging than when the blind lead the blind.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>I will add one comment, however. In this reflection, I said that there were expectations in the Fall of 2020 for many serious events to begin unfolding. For those with eyes to see and ears to hear, there is no question that this has happened, most especially through public health <em>mandates\u00a0<\/em>\u2014 unprecedented controls put in place over nearly the entire global population. What we saw through 2021 was the beginning of forced injections that, to date, have now killed and maimed more people than all other vaccines combined before COVID, according to official government data around the globe.<span class=\"footnote_referrer\"><a role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\" onclick=\"footnote_moveToReference_41767_1('footnote_plugin_reference_41767_1_3');\" onkeypress=\"footnote_moveToReference_41767_1('footnote_plugin_reference_41767_1_3');\" ><sup id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_41767_1_3\" class=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text\">[3]<\/sup><\/a><span id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_41767_1_3\" class=\"footnote_tooltip\">cf. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.countdowntothekingdom.com\/the-tolls\/\"><em>The Tolls<\/em><\/a><\/span><\/span><script type=\"text\/javascript\"> jQuery('#footnote_plugin_tooltip_41767_1_3').tooltip({ tip: '#footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_41767_1_3', tipClass: 'footnote_tooltip', effect: 'fade', predelay: 0, fadeInSpeed: 200, delay: 400, fadeOutSpeed: 200, position: 'top right', relative: true, offset: [10, 10], });<\/script> For those of you who find this unbelievable, I encourage you to explore the footnote which contains all the data and the experts capable of qualifying it. The warnings I and many others shouted went unheeded, frequently cast aside under a startling derision for daring to question the health establishment. Many, to this day, still cannot believe that the health industry would dare mislead us. But it&#8217;s worse than that, as John Paul II himself predicted:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;\"><strong>A unique responsibility belongs to health-care personnel: doctors, pharmacists, nurses, chaplains, men and women religious, administrators and volunteers. Their profession calls for them to be guardians and servants of human life. In today\u2019s cultural and social context, in which science and the practice of medicine risk losing sight of their inherent ethical dimension, health-care professionals can be strongly tempted at times to become manipulators of life, or even agents of death.<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014<a href=\"http:\/\/www.vatican.va\/content\/john-paul-ii\/en\/encyclicals\/documents\/hf_jp-ii_enc_25031995_evangelium-vitae.html\"><em>Evangelium Vitae<\/em><\/a>, n. 89\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Furthermore, even though each day brings ominous new headlines (see <a href=\"https:\/\/mewe.com\/join\/thenowword\"><em>The Now Word &#8211; Signs<\/em><\/a>), what is unfolding will\u00a0<em>not\u00a0<\/em>be obvious to those who do not watch and pray. Satan is a master liar; he has rehearsed the art of deception for millennia, and Christians are his favorite target. How effective is the present deception? Read the first five quotes <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/the-strong-delusion\/\">here<\/a><\/em> from doctors and scientists&#8230; and then please reread this reflection from 2020:<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>First published September 12th, 202o&#8230;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>I TOOK<\/strong> some time off with my wife the past ten days to just get away to the mountains, ride our horses, and leave the chaos of the past six months behind. It was a beautiful reprieve, immersed in God&#8217;s creation and the simplicity He intended for humanity. Life is not meant to be a torrent of chaos, speed, and complexity. Nor did God create us for death, division, and destruction. The rejection of God has become universal; the effects of this apostasy are catastrophic. The Church herself is in disarray, its leadership mostly absent, the flock scattered and confused. (Matt 24:12)<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>This, to me, is the Greatest Sign of the Times: the increase of evildoing in our world is <em>smothering the embers of love. <\/em>Now, with &#8220;social distancing&#8221; and mandatory masks becoming the accepted &#8220;norm&#8221;, fear is the new virtue. It is the final assault on our dignity, freedom and life itself as part of a stratagem outlined in Revelation 12:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\"><strong>This marvelous world\u2014so loved by the Father that he sent his only Son for its salvation\u2014is the theater of a never-ending battle being waged for our dignity and identity as free, spiritual <\/strong><\/span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\"><strong>beings. This struggle parallels the apocalyptic combat described in [Revelation 12]. Death battles against Life: a \u201cculture of death\u201d seeks to impose itself on our\u00a0desire to live, and live to the full. There are those who reject the light of life, preferring \u201cthe fruitless works of darkness\u201d (Eph 5:11). Their harvest is injustice, discrimination, exploitation, deceit, violence. In every age, a measure of their apparent success is the death of the Innocents. In our own century, as at no other time in history, the \u201cculture of death\u201d has assumed a social and institutional form of legality to justify the most horrible crimes against humanity: genocide, \u201cfinal solutions\u201d, \u201cethnic cleansings\u201d, and the massive \u201ctaking of lives of human beings even before they are born, or before they reach the natural point of death\u201d\u2026 <\/strong>\u2014POPE JOHN PAUL II, Homily, Cherry Creek State Park Homily, Denver, Colorado, August 15th, 1993; <a href=\"http:\/\/w2.vatican.va\/content\/john-paul-ii\/en\/homilies\/1993\/documents\/hf_jp-ii_hom_19930815_gmg-denver.html\">vatican.va<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>FALLEN ASLEEP<\/p>\n<p>When I returned to my desk this week, I was faced with numerous controversies and attacks on this ministry and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.countdowntothekingdom.com\/\">Countdown to the Kingdom<\/a> and the seers there. It seems, in part, that some bishops and laity feel that any prophecies that speak of purification, chastisement or divine correction are false, simply because they are fearful. If so, then we ought to disavow Jesus Christ for the &#8220;doom and gloom&#8221; of Matthew 24, Mark 13, Luke 21, the Book of Revelation, and so on. Most anything these seers are saying has already been said first by Our Lord anyway. He told us in advance, precisely to prepare us for the dreadful hour when a great portion of the world will abandon the Gospel resulting in nation rising against nation, kingdom against kingdom with man-made (at first) upheaval spreading across the planet. In this way, we would not be afraid but recognize the &#8220;signs of the times,&#8221; and so prepare ourselves in advance. God&#8217;s warnings are a great mercy, not a threat.<\/p>\n<p>Yet, the Church barely has the capacity to hear these words of Christ any longer, much less prepare. The absolute deficit of teaching in the Church over the past five decades on mysticism and private revelation has come home to roost: we are paying the price for a <em>profound<\/em> lack of catechesis as prophecy is not only mostly ignored but even silenced.<span class=\"footnote_referrer\"><a role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\" onclick=\"footnote_moveToReference_41767_1('footnote_plugin_reference_41767_1_8');\" onkeypress=\"footnote_moveToReference_41767_1('footnote_plugin_reference_41767_1_8');\" ><sup id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_41767_1_8\" class=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text\">[8]<\/sup><\/a><span id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_41767_1_8\" class=\"footnote_tooltip\">cf. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/rationalism-and-the-death-of-mystery\/\"><em>Rationalism, and the Death of Mystery<\/em><\/a><\/span><\/span><script type=\"text\/javascript\"> jQuery('#footnote_plugin_tooltip_41767_1_8').tooltip({ tip: '#footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_41767_1_8', tipClass: 'footnote_tooltip', effect: 'fade', predelay: 0, fadeInSpeed: 200, delay: 400, fadeOutSpeed: 200, position: 'top right', relative: true, offset: [10, 10], });<\/script> New priests have barely a clue how to handle prophecy, and so they simply don&#8217;t. Older priests were trained to mock the mystical, and many do. While some scientists in the UK assert that COVID-19 came from natural origins alone,(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nature.com\/articles\/s41591-020-0820-9\">nature.com<\/a>) a paper from South China\u2019s University of Technology claims \u2018the killer coronavirus probably originated from a laboratory in Wuhan.'(Feb. 16th, 2020; If I tell the wicked, \u201cO wicked one, you shall surely die, \u201d and you do not speak out to dissuade the wicked from his way, the wicked shall die for his guilt, but I will hold you responsible for his death. But if you warn the wicked, trying to turn him from his way, and he refuses to turn from his way, he shall die for his guilt, but you shall save yourself. \u2014<a href=\"https:\/\/bible.usccb.org\/bible\/readings\/090620.cfm\">Ezekiel 33<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Indeed, one of the greatest signs of the times is how the love of the Church has grown stone cold; how we do not love the sinner enough to call him back from the brink of destruction for fear that we might &#8220;offend&#8221; him. I wish you were either cold or hot. So, because you are lukewarm, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth. (Rev 3:15-16)<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Other versions say &#8220;spew&#8221; or &#8220;vomit.&#8221; <em>That time has come.<\/em> The Bride of Christ is filthy and she must be purified. This is ultimately a cause for great joy, even though it will be painful. According to several seers and visionaries all over the world, this autumn will be pivotal with major events beginning soon. We shall see. But this is not an idle watching; it cannot be.
