font-family: 'courier new', courier, monospace;\">like labor pains upon a pregnant woman, <\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: 'courier new', courier, monospace;\">and they will not escape.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: 'courier new', courier, monospace;\">(1 Thess 5:2-3)<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<span class=\"mks_dropcap_letter\" style=\"font-size: 70px; color: #474747; \">J<\/span>ust as the Saturday night vigil Mass heralds Sunday, what the Church calls the &#8220;day of the Lord&#8221; or &#8220;Lord&#8217;s day&#8221;<span class=\"footnote_referrer\"><a role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\" onclick=\"footnote_moveToReference_43533_1('footnote_plugin_reference_43533_1_1');\" onkeypress=\"footnote_moveToReference_43533_1('footnote_plugin_reference_43533_1_1');\" ><sup id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_43533_1_1\" class=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text\">[1]<\/sup><\/a><span id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_43533_1_1\" class=\"footnote_tooltip\">CCC, n. 1166<\/span><\/span><script type=\"text\/javascript\"> jQuery('#footnote_plugin_tooltip_43533_1_1').tooltip({ tip: '#footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_43533_1_1', tipClass: 'footnote_tooltip', effect: 'fade', predelay: 0, fadeInSpeed: 200, delay: 400, fadeOutSpeed: 200, position: 'top right', relative: true, offset: [10, 10], });<\/script>, so too, the Church has entered the <em>vigil hour\u00a0<\/em>of the Great Day of the Lord.<span class=\"footnote_referrer\"><a role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\" onclick=\"footnote_moveToReference_43533_1('footnote_plugin_reference_43533_1_2');\" onkeypress=\"footnote_moveToReference_43533_1('footnote_plugin_reference_43533_1_2');\" ><sup id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_43533_1_2\" class=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text\">[2]<\/sup><\/a><span id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_43533_1_2\" class=\"footnote_tooltip\">Meaning, we are on the eve of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/the-sixth-day\/\"><em>Sixth Day<\/em><\/a><\/span><\/span><script type=\"text\/javascript\"> jQuery('#footnote_plugin_tooltip_43533_1_2').tooltip({ tip: '#footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_43533_1_2', tipClass: 'footnote_tooltip', effect: 'fade', predelay: 0, fadeInSpeed: 200, delay: 400, fadeOutSpeed: 200, position: 'top right', relative: true, offset: [10, 10], });<\/script> And this Day of the Lord, taught the Early Church Fathers, is not a twenty-four hour day at the end of the world, but a triumphant period of time when the enemies of God will be vanquished, the Antichrist or &#8220;Beast&#8221; is cast into the lake of fire, and Satan chained for a &#8220;thousand years.&#8221;<span class=\"footnote_referrer\"><a role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\" onclick=\"footnote_moveToReference_43533_1('footnote_plugin_reference_43533_1_3');\" onkeypress=\"footnote_moveToReference_43533_1('footnote_plugin_reference_43533_1_3');\" ><sup id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_43533_1_3\" class=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text\">[3]<\/sup><\/a><span id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_43533_1_3\" class=\"footnote_tooltip\">cf.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/rethinking-the-end-times\/\"><em>Rethinking the End Times<\/em><\/span><\/span><script type=\"text\/javascript\"> jQuery('#footnote_plugin_tooltip_43533_1_3').tooltip({ tip: '#footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_43533_1_3', tipClass: 'footnote_tooltip', effect: 'fade', predelay: 0, fadeInSpeed: 200, delay: 400, fadeOutSpeed: 200, position: 'top right', relative: true, offset: [10, 10], });<\/script><\/a><!--more--><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; <\/em><a title=\"\" href=\"http:\/\/www.newadvent.org\/fathers\/07017.htm\">www.newadvent.org<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">And again,<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;\"><strong>Behold, the Day of the Lord shall be a thousand years.<\/strong> \u2014Letter of Barnabas, <em>The Fathers of the Church, <\/em>Ch. 15<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The Church Fathers pointed to Revelation 20:1-6 precisely as this &#8220;Day of the Lord.&#8221; There is something beautiful I want to write about this Day as it pertains to Our Lady, which I will do soon. But tonight, the &#8220;now word&#8221; is how St. Paul warned that this Day will come like a thief &#8220;at night&#8221; marked by a certain <em>false<\/em> &#8220;peace and security.&#8221;\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>WATCHING FOR THE DAY<\/p>\n<p>Of course, I don&#8217;t intend to be presumptuous in saying that we have entered the vigil of this Day of the Lord. But it&#8217;s precisely what Pope St. John Paul II asked us youth to watch for and announce:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;\"><strong>I did not hesitate to ask them to make a radical choice of faith and life and present them with a stupendous task: to become \u201cmorning watchmen\u201d at the dawn of the new millennium.<\/strong> \u2014POPE JOHN PAUL II, <em>Novo Millennio Inuente<\/em>, n.9; (cf. POPE JOHN PAUL II, General Audience, November 6th, 2002, Zenit<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;\"><strong>Christians are called to prepare for the Great Jubilee of the beginning of the Third Millennium by renewing their hope in the definitive coming of the Kingdom of God, preparing for it daily in their hearts, in the Christian community to which they belong, in their particular social context, and in world history it<span style=\"font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;\">self.<\/span><\/strong> \u2014POPE JOHN PAUL II, <em>Tertio Millennio Adveniente<\/em>, n. 46<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>However, before the Day of the Lord, there comes <a href=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/the-vigil-of-sorrows\/\"><i>The Vigil<\/i><\/a>; before\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/the-resurrection-of-the-church\/\">The Resurrection of the Church<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>comes her own Passion &#8220;when she will follow her Lord in his death and Resurrection,&#8221; according to the\u00a0Catechism.<span class=\"footnote_referrer\"><a role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\" onclick=\"footnote_moveToReference_43533_1('footnote_plugin_reference_43533_1_5');\" onkeypress=\"footnote_moveToReference_43533_1('footnote_plugin_reference_43533_1_5');\" ><sup id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_43533_1_5\" class=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text\">[5]<\/sup><\/a><span id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_43533_1_5\" class=\"footnote_tooltip\">CCC, n.677<\/span><\/span><script type=\"text\/javascript\"> jQuery('#footnote_plugin_tooltip_43533_1_5').tooltip({ tip: '#footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_43533_1_5', tipClass: 'footnote_tooltip', effect: 'fade', predelay: 0, fadeInSpeed: 200, delay: 400, fadeOutSpeed: 200, position: 'top right', relative: true, offset: [10, 10], });<\/script><\/p>\n<p>When the churches began to close around the world last March (2020), <em>something shifted in this apostolate.\u00a0<\/em>The &#8220;now word&#8221; in those days was that\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/the-labor-pains-are-real\/\">The Labor Pains are Real<\/a>,\u00a0<\/em>that we have entered\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/the-vigil-of-sorrows\/\">The Vigil of Sorrows<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>and that this was\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/our-gethsemane\/\">Our Gethsemane<\/a>.\u00a0<\/em>And so, I continued to &#8220;watch and pray.&#8221; Ten days later after writing <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/our-gethsemane\/\">Our Gethsemane<\/a><\/em><em>,\u00a0<\/em>Our Lady gave this message to a &#8220;Californian soul&#8221;:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;\"><em><strong>Today, with [Jesus], for the Church I relive the very hours of Gethsemane, of Calvary, of the crucifixion and of his death. <\/strong><\/em><em><strong>Have trust and patience; have courage and hope! Soon from our pain will rise a new era of light. The Church will again flourish, under the powerful influx of the love of God\u2026\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>\u2014see <a href=\"https:\/\/www.countdowntothekingdom.com\/fr-stefano-gobbi-i-share-these-hours-of-pain\/\">countdowntothekingdom.com<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>On June 20th, 2020, St. Michael the Archangel said to the Costa Rican seer, Luz de Maria:<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright  wp-image-39670\" style=\"margin: 1px 2px 1px 2px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/sergio-ibannez-vigil.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"267\" height=\"401\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/sergio-ibannez-vigil.jpg 1333w, https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/sergio-ibannez-vigil-200x300.jpg 200w, https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/sergio-ibannez-vigil-682x1024.jpg 682w, https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/sergio-ibannez-vigil-768x1152.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/sergio-ibannez-vigil-1024x1536.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/sergio-ibannez-vigil-640x960.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 267px) 100vw, 267px\" \/><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;\"><em><strong>&#8230;the House of God is being desecrated and this does not stop; God\u2019s faithful children do not know where to go. The People of God find themselves in\u00a0Gethsemane\u00a0in a long night with their Lord and King Jesus Christ \u2014 troubled, hurting and hungry. Knowing that they are heading towards a still more difficult and tempestuous time when there will be confrontation within the divided Mystical Body of Christ, and apostasy will gain ground.\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><em><strong>People of God, the virus that is keeping humanity in suspense has come as a prelude to the\u00a0great trial\u00a0that will befall all humanity&#8230; <\/strong><\/em>\u2014<a href=\"https:\/\/www.countdowntothekingdom.com\/luz-de-maria-the-virus-is-only-a-prelude\/\">countdowntothekingdom.com<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Five days after that, Our Lord said to the American seer Jennifer:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;\"><em><strong><span class=\"\">I tell you today that the hour you are living in has been foretold. Now is not a time to become sleepy for you have entered your Gethsemane. You have entered a time that will be the greatest awakening mankind has endured.\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"\">\u2014<\/span><\/em><span class=\"\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.countdowntothekingdom.com\/jennifer-wake-up-my-children\/\">countdowntothekingdom.com<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Again on August 4th, 2020, Our Lady said:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;\"><em><strong>Have great hope in the full triumph of God for this poor humanity, so ill and far from Him. You are living the painful years of the great tribulation and the sufferings are becoming daily heavier for all. Spend the present hour in the Gethsemane of my Immaculate Heart and set yourselves to carry out with love the will of your Heavenly Father. Be witnesses of faith in these times of the great apostasy. Be witnesses of holiness in these days of great perversion. Be witnesses of love in a world which has become hard and insensitive, consumed and dried up by egoism, hatred, violence and wars. Bring everywhere the balm of my motherly love and mercy.<\/strong><\/em> \u2014to a Californian Soul, cf. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.countdowntothekingdom.com\/a-californian-soul-have-confidence-in-your-mother\/\">countdowntothekingdom.com<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>And last:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;\"><em><strong>My beloveds, this is the beginning of the tribulation, but you should not fear as long as you kneel and acknowledge Jesus, God, One and Three.<\/strong><\/em> \u2014Our Lady to Gisella Cardia, November 24th, 2020; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.countdowntothekingdom.com\/gisella-the-beginning-of-the-tribulation\/\">countdowntothekingdom.com<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>THE NIGHT OF GETHSEMANE<\/p>\n<p>Just as Judas and his mob showed up &#8220;like a thief in the night,&#8221; so too, the persecution of the Church is unfolding much the same. Suddenly, without notice, the &#8220;last suppers&#8221; are being said in many places as lockdowns continue with a more virulent form of the coronavirus spreading. Bishops have not hesitated to bar the faithful from their churches while the laity are <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft  wp-image-30877\" style=\"margin: 2px 5px 2px 5px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/FranceMourns.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"308\" height=\"463\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/FranceMourns.jpg 1360w, https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/FranceMourns-1020x1536.jpg 1020w, https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/FranceMourns-199x300.jpg 199w, https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/FranceMourns-768x1157.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/FranceMourns-680x1024.jpg 680w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 308px) 100vw, 308px\" \/>free to enter liquor store. The prophetic words of St. Th\u00e9r\u00e8se de Lisieux, spoken to a priest in New Boston, Michigan in 2008, seem closer to fulfillment than ever. The French saint\u00a0appeared to him in a dream wearing a dress for her first Communion and led him toward the church. However, upon reaching the door, he was barred from entering. She turned to him and said:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><strong style=\"font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\"><em>Just as my country [France]<\/em><\/strong><em style=\"font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\"><strong>, which was the eldest daughter of the Church, killed her priests and faithful, so will the persecution of the Church take place in your own country. In a short time, the clergy will go into exile and will be unable to enter the churches openly. They will minister to the faithful in clandestine places. The faithful will be deprived of the \u201ckiss of Jesus\u201d [Holy Communion]. The laity will bring Jesus to them in the absence of the priests.<\/strong> \u2014<\/em><span style=\"font-family: trebuchet ms, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: small;\">see\u00a0<\/span><a style=\"font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; font-style: italic;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/revolution\/\">Revolution!<\/a> <span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">(Note: this priests also sees the souls in purgatory each night)<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>And just as the Apostles scattered in the Garden of Gethsemane, so too, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/the-body-breaking\/\"><em>Body of Christ is Breaking<\/em><\/a>. Yes, this is a\u00a0<em>revolution.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>And what of the mob? Even before the pandemic hit, I realized that we were in a <em>revolutionary<\/em> moment where what would be impossible or even inconceivable in normal times had become not only possible, but probably absolutely necessary\u2026 we must find a way to cooperate on fighting climate change and the novel coronavirus.<\/strong> \u2014George Soros, May 13th, 2020; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/news\/business\/comment\/george-soros-coronavirus-interview-trump-eu-pandemic-a9508186.html\">independent.co.uk.<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Is it just a coincidence that President Joe Biden&#8217;s slogan is also &#8220;Build Back Better&#8221; and that the website <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buildbackbetter.gov\">buildbackbetter.gov<\/a> redirects now to the official website of the White House?\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>SUDDEN DISASTER<\/p>\n<p>And thus, we come to the latter part of St. Paul&#8217;s warning: &#8220;When people are saying, \u201cPeace and security,\u201d\u00a0then <em>sudden disaster<\/em> comes upon them, like labor pains upon a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.&#8221; In some ways, the sudden outbreak of COVID-19 was like the first labor pain of a false sense of peace and security being shattered, but almost as a preparation for the final labor pains (see <a href=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/the-great-transition\/\"><em>The Great Transition<\/em><\/a>). Again, Our Lady&#8217;s words today:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;\"><em><strong>Children, now you will see what I never wanted your eyes to see: very strong earthquakes and all sorts of calamities such as tempests, storms, tidal waves and wars, because you did not listen to my words! <\/strong><\/em>\u2014to Gisella Cardia, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.countdowntothekingdom.com\/gisella-now-you-will-see-calamities\/\">countdowntothekingdom.com<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Not only that, as I wrote in\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/the-caduceus-key\/\">The Caduceus Key<\/a>,\u00a0<\/em>high level scientists in the field of immunization have warned that\u00a0<i>tens of millions\u00a0<\/i>of people could die from these experimental gene vaccines that have been rushed to the public, untested for long term effects. I am sorry, these words are dire, I know, but we have collectively failed to heed the warnings of popes and other churchmen regarding the diabolical agenda to reduce the population of the planet (see <a href=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/our-1942\/\"><em>Our 1942<\/em><\/a>), however it comes.\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;\"><strong>A unique responsibility belongs to health-care personnel: doctors, pharmacists, nurses, chaplains, men and women religious, administrators and volunteers.
