AS<\/strong> extraordinary events unfold around the globe, it’s often “looking back” that we see most clearly. It’s very possible that a “word” put on my heart years ago is now unfolding in real time… <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

THE GREAT STORM<\/p>\n

Over fifteen years ago, the words came to me as clear as the thunder storm that was rolling toward me on the horizon:<\/p>\n

\n

There is a Great Storm coming upon the earth like a hurricane.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

As I explained recently in Warp Speed, Shock and Awe<\/a>,\u00a0<\/em>that word was followed shortly thereafter with another as I began to read the sixth chapter of the Book of Revelation:<\/p>\n

\n

This IS the Great Storm.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

In other words, the “seals” that are broken open are a series of global events, allowed and even used by God, to rapidly bring the world to its knees. In light of recent events, I believe we may in fact be seeing the definitive opening of these seals in real time and in the most unexpected ways, as I’ll explain. St. Paul once wrote:<\/p>\n

\n

Our knowledge is imperfect and our prophecy is imperfect… For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. (1 Cor 13:9, 12)<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Hindsight is sometimes the greatest teacher, as much as standing on a mountain and looking back gives the greatest perspective. With each passing day now, the veil seems to be lifting and the Book of Revelation taking on new meaning and perspective. The word Apocalypse, after all, means “unveiling”…<\/p>\n

THE FIRST SEAL<\/p>\n

\"\"I looked, and there was a white horse, and its rider had a bow. He was given a crown, and he rode forth victorious to further his victories. (6:1-2)<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

This Rider, according to Pius XII, is the Lord Himself.<\/p>\n

\n

He\u00a0is Jesus Christ. The inspired evangelist [St. John] not only saw the devastation brought about by sin, war, hunger and death; he also saw, in the first place, the victory of Christ.<\/strong>\u2014POPE PIUS XII, Address, November 15, 1946; footnote of\u00a0The Navarre Bible<\/em>, \u201cRevelation\u201d, p.70<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

As I have explained at Countdown to the Kingdom on our Timeline<\/a> and in a webcast<\/a>, the “time of mercy” that Jesus granted us after the apparitions in Fatima appears to fulfill this seal. Piux XII’s insight is a beautiful interpretation because it suggests that the following, painful seals are permitted by Divine Providence in order to draw the maximum number of souls into God’s mercy. Sometimes it is only suffering that awakens the stubborn human heart to the presence of God<\/em> and the greater reality of eternal life (see Mercy in Chaos<\/em><\/a>). Hence, the arrows the Rider releases are the power of the Holy Spirit to awaken souls before it’s too late:\u00a0<\/p>\n

The first seal being opened, [St. John] says that he saw a white horse, and a crowned horseman having a bow\u2026 He sent the\u00a0Holy Spirit<\/a>, whose words the preachers sent forth as arrows reaching to the\u00a0human<\/a>\u00a0heart, that they might overcome unbelief.<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014St. Victorinus,\u00a0Commentary on the Apocalypse,\u00a0<\/em>Ch. 6:1-2<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

But as several seers have said recently, “the Time of Mercy has closed”<\/em>. [1]<\/sup><\/a>cf. here<\/a>, here<\/a>, here<\/a>, and here<\/a><\/span><\/span>
