And that is that things are <em>not<\/em> dragging on as some claim, or that prophecy is <em>not<\/em> being fulfilled, as others say. On the contrary, I cannot keep up with all that is coming to pass \u2014 much of it, what I have written over these years. While I have not known the details of how exactly things would come to fruition, for example, how Communism would return (as Our Lady allegedly warned the seers of Garabandal \u2014 see <a href=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/when-communism-returns\/\"><em>When Communism Returns<\/em><\/a>), we now see it returning in the most astonishing, clever, and ubiquitous manner.<span class=\"footnote_referrer\"><a role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\" onclick=\"footnote_moveToReference_48257_1('footnote_plugin_reference_48257_1_1');\" onkeypress=\"footnote_moveToReference_48257_1('footnote_plugin_reference_48257_1_1');\" ><sup id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_48257_1_1\" class=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text\">[1]<\/sup><\/a><span id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_48257_1_1\" class=\"footnote_tooltip\">cf. <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/the-final-revolution\/\">The Final Revolution<\/a><\/em><\/span><\/span><script type=\"text\/javascript\"> jQuery('#footnote_plugin_tooltip_48257_1_1').tooltip({ tip: '#footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_48257_1_1', tipClass: 'footnote_tooltip', effect: 'fade', predelay: 0, fadeInSpeed: 200, delay: 400, fadeOutSpeed: 200, position: 'top right', relative: true, offset: [10, 10], });<\/script> It is so subtle, in fact, that many <em>still\u00a0<\/em>do not realize what is unfolding all around them. &#8220;Whoever has ears ought to hear.&#8221;<span class=\"footnote_referrer\"><a role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\" onclick=\"footnote_moveToReference_48257_1('footnote_plugin_reference_48257_1_2');\" onkeypress=\"footnote_moveToReference_48257_1('footnote_plugin_reference_48257_1_2');\" ><sup id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_48257_1_2\" class=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text\">[2]<\/sup><\/a><span id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_48257_1_2\" class=\"footnote_tooltip\">cf. Matthew 13:9<\/span><\/span><script type=\"text\/javascript\"> jQuery('#footnote_plugin_tooltip_48257_1_2').tooltip({ tip: '#footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_48257_1_2', tipClass: 'footnote_tooltip', effect: 'fade', predelay: 0, fadeInSpeed: 200, delay: 400, fadeOutSpeed: 200, position: 'top right', relative: true, offset: [10, 10], });<\/script><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>And yet, <em>do you still want to hear?\u00a0 <\/em>I say this, because many are getting tired and falling asleep at this late hour \u2014 just as Our Lord predicted.<span class=\"footnote_referrer\"><a role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\" onclick=\"footnote_moveToReference_48257_1('footnote_plugin_reference_48257_1_3');\" onkeypress=\"footnote_moveToReference_48257_1('footnote_plugin_reference_48257_1_3');\" ><sup id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_48257_1_3\" class=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text\">[3]<\/sup><\/a><span id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_48257_1_3\" class=\"footnote_tooltip\">cf. <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/the-final-revolution\/\">The Final Revolution<\/a><\/em><\/span><\/span><script type=\"text\/javascript\"> jQuery('#footnote_plugin_tooltip_48257_1_3').tooltip({ tip: '#footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_48257_1_3', tipClass: 'footnote_tooltip', effect: 'fade', predelay: 0, fadeInSpeed: 200, delay: 400, fadeOutSpeed: 200, position: 'top right', relative: true, offset: [10, 10], });<\/script> This is why you and I, dear reader, are called upon to awaken: be faithful and true, consistent and untiring, prayerful and watchful, sober and alert in our spiritual lives. For the army of Our Lady, the <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/the-new-gideon\/\">New Gideon<\/a>,<\/em> that is forming right now, is very small indeed.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;\"><strong><em>Small is the number of those who understand and follow me\u2026<\/em><\/strong> \u2014Our Lady to Mirjana, May 2nd, 2014<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>But this <a href=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/our-ladys-little-rabble\/\">little rabble<\/a> is <em>crucial<\/em> in the fulfillment of God&#8217;s plans and the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>This is why so many of us are under full-frontal assault by the enemy. Every crack in our spiritual life, every chink in the armor, ever weakness in the flesh is being <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft  wp-image-48263\" style=\"margin: 2px 5px 2px 5px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/fullassault-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"287\" height=\"510\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/fullassault-scaled.jpg 1440w, https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/fullassault-169x300.jpg 169w, https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/fullassault-576x1024.jpg 576w, https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/fullassault-768x1366.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/fullassault-864x1536.jpg 864w, https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/fullassault-1152x2048.jpg 1152w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 287px) 100vw, 287px\" \/>exploited by the devil. He is doing everything he can to take us out by destroying our marriages, families, our equilibrium, our inner peace, and if possible, our relationship with God. Satan wants us to lose confidence in the authority of the Church; in the efficacy of the Sacraments; and faith in the Word of God. He wants us to become cynical about prophecy\u00a0 \u2014 nay, cast it aside altogether. He wants us bitterly divided. Hence, the devil is throwing the kitchen sink at the Bride of Christ \u2014 and knocking many off of the Barque of Peter while he&#8217;s at it.<\/p>\n<p>But God permits all this. Why? <em>As another means to purify us<\/em>, to make us fully aware of our weakness and utter dependence upon Him.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;\">Therefore, whoever thinks he is standing secure should take care not to fall. No trial has come to you but what is human. God is faithful and will not let you be tried beyond your strength; but with the trial he will also provide a way out, so that you may be able to bear it&#8230;. for you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. And let perseverance be perfect, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. (1 Cor 10:12-13, James 1:3-4)<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The present call is to <em>perseverance,\u00a0<\/em>to\u00a0<em>stay the course.\u00a0<\/em>To let nothing come between you and Jesus. Nothing. Not even the &#8220;little sins.&#8221; So if you need a &#8220;course correction&#8221;, what are you waiting for? In the Sacrament of Confession, God the Father sets everything right through the Precious Blood of His Son, Jesus. He gathers you up in His arms; He washes you again; He places upon you a new robe, fresh sandals, and a ring on your finger.<span class=\"footnote_referrer\"><a role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\" onclick=\"footnote_moveToReference_48257_1('footnote_plugin_reference_48257_1_4');\" onkeypress=\"footnote_moveToReference_48257_1('footnote_plugin_reference_48257_1_4');\" ><sup id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_48257_1_4\" class=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text\">[4]<\/sup><\/a><span id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_48257_1_4\" class=\"footnote_tooltip\">cf. Luke 15:22<\/span><\/span><script type=\"text\/javascript\"> jQuery('#footnote_plugin_tooltip_48257_1_4').tooltip({ tip: '#footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_48257_1_4', tipClass: 'footnote_tooltip', effect: 'fade', predelay: 0, fadeInSpeed: 200, delay: 400, fadeOutSpeed: 200, position: 'top right', relative: true, offset: [10, 10], });<\/script> He makes all things new as He sends you back into the world, <em>forgiven<\/em> and in His friendship \u2014 even if your sin had been <em>mortal.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;\"><strong><em>Were a soul like a decaying corpse so that from a human standpoint, there would be no [hope of] restoration and everything would already be lost, it is not so with God. The miracle of Divine Mercy restores that soul in full. Oh, how miserable are those who do not take advantage of the miracle of God\u2019s mercy!<\/em><\/strong> \u2014Jesus to St. Faustina, <em>Divine Mercy in My Soul,\u00a0<\/em>Diary, n. 1448<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;\"><strong>\u201c\u2026those who go to Confession frequently, and do so with the desire to make progress\u201d will notice the strides that they make in their spiritual lives. \u201cIt would be an illusion to seek after holiness, according to the vocation one has received from God, without partaking frequently of this sacrament of conversion and reconciliation.\u201d\u00a0<\/strong>\u2014POPE ST. JOHN PAUL II, Apostolic Penitentiary conference, March 27th, 2004; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.catholicculture.org\/news\/features\/index.cfm?recnum=28574&amp;repos=4&amp;subrepos=1&amp;searchid=1602581\">catholicculture.org<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p>While I have always been extremely leary about very specific public prophetic predictions \u2014 mostly because they almost always fail <span class=\"footnote_referrer\"><a role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\" onclick=\"footnote_moveToReference_48257_1('footnote_plugin_reference_48257_1_5');\" onkeypress=\"footnote_moveToReference_48257_1('footnote_plugin_reference_48257_1_5');\" ><sup id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_48257_1_5\" class=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text\">[5]<\/sup><\/a><span id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_48257_1_5\" class=\"footnote_tooltip\">cf. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.countdowntothekingdom.com\/a-statement-on-fr-michel\/\"><em>A Statement on Fr. Matt 6:33);<\/div>\n<div style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">\u2022 pray the Holy Rosary (for your protection!);<\/div>\n<div style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">\u2022 pray for the shepherds<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div>Those are just <em>three<\/em> messages from this past week that I posted on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.countdowntothekingdom.com\/\">Countdown<\/a>. Just those three messages alone contain nearly everything you need to get through these times. And what are they but a reaffirmation of the Public Revelation of Jesus Christ handed on to us 2000 years ago!\u00a0<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div>For me, the sensational prophecies and predictions are not what is crucial (and many of them <a href=\"https:\/\/www.countdowntothekingdom.com\/a-statement-on-fr-michel\/\">fall flat<\/a>, as experience shows us). Even though I co-founded Countdown to the Kingdom, I am far more reticent about such alleged &#8220;words&#8221; than many people may realize. Indeed, I just file them in the &#8220;We Shall See&#8221; category because, really, what more can one do about them \u2014 except, of course, pray for God&#8217;s mercy upon the world? And even then, if prophets fail, God does not. Our hope is in the Lord. Even <a href=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/when-cedars-fall-2\/\"><em>When Cedars Fall<\/em><\/a> (ie. our shepherds),<span class=\"footnote_referrer\"><a role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\" onclick=\"footnote_moveToReference_48257_1('footnote_plugin_reference_48257_1_7');\" onkeypress=\"footnote_moveToReference_48257_1('footnote_plugin_reference_48257_1_7');\" ><sup id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_48257_1_7\" class=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text\">[7]<\/sup><\/a><span id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_48257_1_7\" class=\"footnote_tooltip\">cf. <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/when-the-stars-fall\/\">When the Stars Fall<\/a><\/em><\/span><\/span><script type=\"text\/javascript\"> jQuery('#footnote_plugin_tooltip_48257_1_7').tooltip({ tip: '#footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_48257_1_7', tipClass: 'footnote_tooltip', effect: 'fade', predelay: 0, fadeInSpeed: 200, delay: 400, fadeOutSpeed: 200, position: 'top right', relative: true, offset: [10, 10], });<\/script> it should not shake our faith \u2014 otherwise, our faith was misplaced to begin with.<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div>So when I say <em>stay the course,\u00a0<\/em>brothers and sisters, I mean let us get back to the basics; back to being faithful; back to prayer; back to the spiritual means that<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-48265 alignleft\" style=\"margin: 2px 5px 2px 5px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/Stay-the-Course-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"301\" height=\"512\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/Stay-the-Course-2.jpg 882w, https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/Stay-the-Course-2-176x300.jpg 176w, https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/Stay-the-Course-2-602x1024.jpg 602w, https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/Stay-the-Course-2-768x1306.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 301px) 100vw, 301px\" \/> we already have at our fingertips, especially the Sacraments, fasting, the Rosary, novenas, etc. And if you do, <em>if\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0<em>when\u00a0<\/em>the more dramatic prophecies come about, you will be prepared. But many of us are\u00a0<em>not\u00a0<\/em>prepared, as Our Lady warns. And that is a very, very sobering thought \u2014 especially given how many of the &#8220;faithful&#8221; are already being divided into <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/the-two-camps\/\">Two Camps<\/a><\/em>.
