As is usually the case, the Pope simply explains it himself:<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;\"><strong>Sensing myself called to continue in this same path, I chose to take the name Leo XIV. There are different reasons for this, but mainly because Pope Leo XIII in his historic Encyclical <a href=\"_wp_link_placeholder\" data-wplink-edit=\"true\"><em>Rerum Novarum<\/em><\/a> addressed the social question in the context of the first great industrial revolution. In our own day, the Church offers to everyone the treasury of her social teaching in response to another industrial revolution and to developments in the field of artificial intelligence that pose new challenges for the defence of human dignity, justice and labour.<\/strong> \u2014 POPE LEO XIV, meeting with Cardinals, May 10, 2025&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>This is a packed statement, given the context of this present hour&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:26px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Fourth Industrial Revolution<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Choosing to follow in Pope Leo XIII&#8217;s footsteps is more than poignant \u2014&nbsp;and to what degree it is meaningful to Leo XIV remains to be seen. But context is everything. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was Leo XIII who penned the authoritative encyclicals against socialism (<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vatican.va\/content\/leo-xiii\/en\/encyclicals\/documents\/hf_l-xiii_enc_28121878_quod-apostolici-muneris.html\">Quod Apostolici Muneris<\/a><\/em>) and those carrying out the &#8220;monstrous doctrines of the socialists and communists&#8221;, that is the Freemasons, in <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vatican.va\/content\/leo-xiii\/en\/encyclicals\/documents\/hf_l-xiii_enc_18840420_humanum-genus.html\">Humanum Genus<\/a><\/em>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;\"><strong>At this period, however, the partisans of evil seems to be combining together, and to be struggling with united vehemence, led on or assisted by that strongly organized and widespread association called the Freemasons. No longer making any secret of their purposes, they are now boldly rising up against God Himself \u2026that which is their ultimate purpose forces itself into view\u2014namely, the utter overthrow of that whole religious and political order of the world which the Christian teaching has produced, and the substitution of a new state of things in accordance with their ideas, of which the foundations and laws shall be drawn from mere naturalism.<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2014POPE LEO XIII,&nbsp;<em>Humanum Genus<\/em>, Encyclical on Freemasonry, n.10, April 20th, 1884<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Today, these &#8220;ideas&#8221;, far from having been buried beneath the rubble of the Berlin Wall, were redirected from the Russian experiment within the U.S.S.R. to a global venue \u2014&nbsp;namely the United Nations. These Masonic &#8220;ideas&#8221; now boldly appear in the so-called &#8220;sustainable development goals&#8221; of Agenda 2030 and UN partners such as the World Economic Forum (WEF). Leo XIV speaks of &#8220;another industrial revolution&#8221;, which is referred to as the &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/isaiahs-prophecy-of-communism\/\">Fourth Industrial Revolution<\/a>,&#8221; a term coined by founder Klaus Schwab.<span class=\"footnote_referrer\"><a role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\" onclick=\"footnote_moveToReference_52517_1('footnote_plugin_reference_52517_1_1');\" onkeypress=\"footnote_moveToReference_52517_1('footnote_plugin_reference_52517_1_1');\" ><sup id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_52517_1_1\" class=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text\">[1]<\/sup><\/a><span id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_52517_1_1\" class=\"footnote_tooltip\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foreignaffairs.com\/articles\/2015-12-12\/fourth-industrial-revolution?fa_anthology=1116078\">2015 <em>Foreign Affairs<\/em> article<\/a><\/span><\/span><script type=\"text\/javascript\"> jQuery('#footnote_plugin_tooltip_52517_1_1').tooltip({ tip: '#footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_52517_1_1', tipClass: 'footnote_tooltip', effect: 'fade', predelay: 0, fadeInSpeed: 200, delay: 400, fadeOutSpeed: 200, position: 'top right', relative: true, offset: [10, 10], });<\/script> According to Schwab, this new revolution involves&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;\"><strong>\u2026the fusion of our physical, our digital and our biological identities.<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2014Chairman Prof. Klaus Schwab, World Economic Forum,&nbsp;<em>The Rise of the Antichurch,&nbsp;<\/em>20:11 mark,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/rumble.com\/vh7dt7-the-rise-of-the-antichurch.html\">rumble.com<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p align=\"LEFT\">As WEF advisor, Yuval Noah Harari, arrogantly states<em>:<\/em><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;\"><strong><em>Homo sapiens<\/em>&nbsp;as we know them will probably disappear within a century or so, not destroyed by killer robots or things like that, but changed and upgraded with biotechnology and artificial intelligence into something else, into something different.<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2014Yuval Noah Harari,&nbsp;<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/culture\/2017\/mar\/19\/yuval-harari-sapiens-readers-questions-lucy-prebble-arianna-huffington-future-of-humanity\">The Guardian<\/a>,&nbsp;<\/em>March 19, 2017As&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Thus, Pope Leo XIV rightly warns that &#8220;the field of artificial intelligence [poses] new challenges for the defence of human dignity, justice and labour.&#8221;<span class=\"footnote_referrer\"><a role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\" onclick=\"footnote_moveToReference_52517_1('footnote_plugin_reference_52517_1_2');\" onkeypress=\"footnote_moveToReference_52517_1('footnote_plugin_reference_52517_1_2');\" ><sup id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_52517_1_2\" class=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text\">[2]<\/sup><\/a><span id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_52517_1_2\" class=\"footnote_tooltip\">cf. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/singularity-vs-the-single-will\/\"><em>Singularity vs The Single Will<\/em><\/span><\/span><script type=\"text\/javascript\"> jQuery('#footnote_plugin_tooltip_52517_1_2').tooltip({ tip: '#footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_52517_1_2', tipClass: 'footnote_tooltip', effect: 'fade', predelay: 0, fadeInSpeed: 200, delay: 400, fadeOutSpeed: 200, position: 'top right', relative: true, offset: [10, 10], });<\/script><\/a> Which is why he refers to <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vatican.va\/content\/leo-xiii\/en\/encyclicals\/documents\/hf_l-xiii_enc_15051891_rerum-novarum.html\">Rerum Novarum<\/a><\/em>, the locus for his pontifical name. Within that Encyclical, it&#8217;s clear the papacy was prophetically cognizant of the dangers that would explode upon the entire globe some 140 years later in what is now coined the &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/the-great-reset\/\">Great Reset<\/a>,&#8221; another term for this revolution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:27px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">On Dignity, Justice, and Labor<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>On &#8220;human dignity&#8221; and the idea that we can fundamentally alter our bodies (transhumanism) as Schwab breathlessly anticipates, Pope Leo XIII warned:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;\"><strong>No man may with impunity outrage that human dignity which God Himself treats with great reverence, nor stand in the way of that higher life which is the preparation of the eternal life of heaven. Nay, more; no man has in this matter power over himself.<\/strong> \u2014<em><a href=\"_wp_link_placeholder\" data-wplink-edit=\"true\">Rerum Novarum<\/a>,&nbsp;<\/em>n. 40<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>In an address to the Diplomatic Corp, Leo XIV affirmed the dignity of all:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;\"><strong>&#8230;no one is exempted from striving to ensure respect for the dignity of every person, especially the most frail and vulnerable, from the unborn to the elderly, from the sick to the unemployed, citizens and immigrants alike&#8230; [peaceful societies] can be achieved above all by investing in the family, founded upon the stable union between a man and a woman, \u2018a small but genuine society, and prior to all civil society,\u2019.<\/strong> \u2014May 16, 2025, <a href=\"_wp_link_placeholder\" data-wplink-edit=\"true\">Catholic News Agency<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>As his predecessor warned in <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vatican.va\/content\/leo-xiii\/en\/encyclicals\/documents\/hf_l-xiii_enc_15051891_rerum-novarum.html\">Rerum Novarum<\/a>:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;\"><strong>The socialists, therefore, in setting aside the parent and setting up a State supervision, act against natural justice, and destroy the structure of the home.<\/strong> \u2014n. 14<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignleft size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1009\" height=\"1000\" src=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/privatepropertysteal.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-42465\" style=\"width:320px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/privatepropertysteal.jpg 1009w, https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/privatepropertysteal-300x297.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/privatepropertysteal-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/privatepropertysteal-768x761.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.markmallett.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/privatepropertysteal-640x634.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1009px) 100vw, 1009px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>When it comes to matters of &#8220;justice&#8221;, we see another outrageous proposition from the WEF \u2014 by 2030 &#8220;You&#8217;ll own nothing. And you&#8217;ll be happy\u201d, as their&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=omAk1gMyw7E\">promotional video<\/a>&nbsp;muses. Here again, Pope Leo XIII had tackled the error of the abdication of private property, which is central to the Marxist\/Communist worldview:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;\"><strong>&#8230;it is clear that the main tenet of socialism, community of goods, must be utterly rejected, since it only injures those whom it would seem meant to benefit, is directly contrary to the natural rights of mankind, and would introduce confusion and disorder into the commonweal. They praised the forced sterilization of people by Hitler\u2019s Germany, and the Nazi ideas on race \u201cpurity.\u201d It was John D. Rockefeller III, a life-long advocate of eugenics, who used his \u201ctax free\u201d foundation money to initiate the population reduction neo-Malthusian movement through his private Population Council in New York beginning in the 1950\u2019s. The idea of using vaccines to covertly reduce births in the Third World is also not new. Western nations in particular are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voronoiapp.com\/demographics\/-Europes-Population-May-Fall-by-150-Million-People-by-2100-3932\">aborting and contracepting<\/a> themselves <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lifenews.com\/2024\/12\/30\/world-population-is-collapsing-as-nations-drop-below-replacement-rates\/\">out of existence<\/a> in what is rightly called a &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.pop.org\/topics\/demographic-winter\/\">demographic winter.<\/a>&#8221; Hence, Pope Leo XIII foresaw the beginnings of a <em>mass deception<\/em> unfolding on an apocalyptic scale, one where people would openly deny the truth:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;\"><strong>\u2026he who resists the truth through malice and turns away from it, sins most grievously against the Holy Ghost. The good will be martyred; the Holy Father will have much to suffer; various nations will be annihilated. In the end, my Immaculate Heart will triumph.
