In the name of the Father, Son, the Holy Spirit, amen. Well, real quick, we&#8217;re only a few days away. This Saturday begins the 54-day novena for our nation. Yes. Tens of thousands of people from around the country have been joining us. This year is especially remarkable. It&#8217;s it&#8217;s uh, of course we had the consecration to the sacred art of Jesus. It&#8217;s the Jubilee year of Saint Francis. And we always hold uh uh toward the conclusion of the 54 days, which ends on October 7th, okay, we always hold the National Rosary Rally along with Rosary Coast to Coast on the s last Sunday and this year it lands on the feast of Saint uh Francis of Assisi. It&#8217;s just amazing and there&#8217;s so much to pray for too And this is the second year in a row that I&#8217;ve been invited to come to uh the shrine of Our Lady of Champion in Champion, Wisconsin, the only approved apparition in all the United States. To lead day one of this uh 54-day Rosary Novina. I&#8217;ll just conclude with this So many people have reported amazing prayers being answered through this 54-day. I became years ago just a great fan of this. It&#8217;s a powerful, powerful way to pray So if you we&#8217;re going to have our own specific prayer, but we&#8217;re inviting or encouraging people to bring their own prayers to it and just watch. what happens. And cannot encourage people enough. This is a very important year to be doing this, especially for our nation and worldwide. We&#8217;re in the midst of this conflict, of course, with Iran. And whether anybody agrees or disagrees with how it&#8217;s being handled, we have to understand that you&#8217;ve got an Islamic regime that wants the 12th Imam to come back, and I know Mark, you&#8217;re aware of this too. They want an apocalyptic event on some scale. This has been in their written material. And so what we&#8217;re seeing here is not your normal negotiations with another nation over the Straits of Ramuz and money and oil and so forth There is a religious fanaticism behind the mindset of these Islamic leaders, and it is unbelievably dangerous right now. We&#8217;re seeing things happen in the US, Canada, other parts of the world, the Islamification. We&#8217;re seeing communism. Unbelievable what we&#8217;re seeing in America. This El Sahid that was just elected in the primary in Michigan, he&#8217;s a Muslim. DSA, although he&#8217;s trying to distance himself a little bit from it now, who&#8217;s running for Senate. The DSA is talking about shutting the Senate down, eliminating the Senate, opening the borders, eliminating law enforcement, police, defunding the military, all nine yards. This is a train wreck nightmare that is unfolding in front of us. And all of this goes back to our blessed mother&#8217;s warning, her pleading with us. about the times that we&#8217;re in and this goes 1917 in Fatima specifically where she says this she is as was mentioned in a previous podcast the antidote to communism By consecrating ourselves to her immaculate heart, praying that rosary. So a plug to all of you out there listening right now, we have got to pray this rosary as our lady has asked us. She&#8217;s even made it clear, do as I tell you, and this is going to be taken care of because heaven will take care of it. We&#8217;re thinking it&#8217;s got to be done by man&#8217;s initiative. And while man has a place in things to a point, yes, but everything is rooted in prayer in relationship with God. So let&#8217;s turn to our lady. There&#8217;s a lot of hope, but there&#8217;s also a lot of work to do. So let&#8217;s roll up our sleeves and get into it. Mark Mallet, good friend of ours, brother, good to have you back. You&#8217;ve written a book on this confrontation. You&#8217;ve been preaching on this, talking about this uh for so many years now. Uh what is your take on what you&#8217;re seeing with everything, what I just said, the need for the rosary, as father mentioned, and the times that we&#8217;re in. Kind of give us a little lay of the land from your perspective<\/p>\n<p>Mark Mallett \u2022 05:50<br \/>\nWell I think it&#8217;s remarkable to see openly people coming out who say uh we&#8217;re we&#8217;re socialists um and and Marxists and And not only that, but now you have voters putting them in power. This is a stunning sign of the times and it&#8217;s exactly what you said. Our Lady back in Fatima, 1917, appeared before communism took hold in in Moscow. We have to remember that was like a month before. the October Revolution, our our lady comes and she says to them, um, you have to consecrate Russia to my immaculate heart or she will spread her errors. throughout the whole world, resulting in the persecution of the church and annihilation of nations, all kinds of stuff. And so she was warning and what are the errors of Russia? Well, practical atheism, Marxism. um uh again the the elements of socialism uh and and that we&#8217;ve seen radical feminism and you go on and on with all these isms today, these are the errors that she spread And it&#8217;s very interesting when she appeared it in Garabandal, Spain, uh, she said to the seers there, again, this is an apparition in the church that the church has not made any judgment on yet. But it seems to be more and more coming to the forefront that one of the seers said uh that our lady said when communism comes again everything will happen. And this was to Conchita. And so the interviewer said, well, what do you mean by comes again? Because this is in the nineteen sixties. Communism by then was in full force in the un in the Soviet Union And Conchita said, well, yes, when it comes again. And so the the interviewer said, well, does that mean that communism will go away before that? I dunno, she said. The Blessed Virgin simply said, When communism comes again, everything will happen. Well what is everything Well, it could be uh the warning that they were warning up that they were speaking about, this illumination of conscience that we hear appear in the revelations to servant of God Stefano Gobi, when everyone in the world will experience a judgment in miniature. Um, I believe that&#8217;s in Revelation chapter six, the six seals broken. And everyone wants to hide at that moment something, some sort of encounter with the the Lamb of God. And they all feel that they&#8217;re being judged, that it&#8217;s the day of the Lord coming. So That, um, other things that our lady has spoken of, but ultimately the triumph of the Immaculate Heart will finally come about. But here&#8217;s the point, communism did seem to leave with the act of consecration, uh the controversial one, at least that John Paul II made. reg regarding the the this consecration of the world and eventually Francis did it again of Russia and Ukraine to Our Lady&#8217;s Heart. But these consecrations came late. And so the errors of Russia have spread throughout the entire world. We&#8217;ve seen communism fr after Russia spread in Spain and in China, and this has resulted in tens of millions of deaths. It&#8217;s really stunning that socialism is even being entertained in America or in Canada or anywhere else. It&#8217;s it&#8217;s devastated the countries where it&#8217;s taken place. Canada right now is just in a decline. Uh we know what&#8217;s happened to Venezuela and these other countries, and we know what&#8217;s certainly what&#8217;s happened in North Korea. We see what&#8217;s happening in in China. Uh it&#8217;s not good. And so the idea that this is now spreading in America, th the real sign is that the people The young especially are embracing it. And that&#8217;s a sign to us that they are they&#8217;re ready for revolution. They want an overthrow of what is being served to them right now. You can call it capitalism, but I think it&#8217;s much broader than that. I think with the young people today who are uh part of this whole woke ideology on the campuses, progressism, progress progressivism, and liberalism What you&#8217;re seeing is a rejection of the entire status quo, which includes especially Christianity. So this is why you&#8217;ll he you&#8217;ll see stunning interviews on campus. of young people saying, uh, hey, I&#8217;ll sign your petition to protect unborn puppies from being aborted, but human beings? No way, man, that&#8217;s fair game. I mean, the disconnect there is incredible And the reason is anything that&#8217;s considered to be on the conservative side, on the right, on the which is which is associated with Christianity is being rejected And they want the state now to come in and to save them. This is classic Marxism, classic communism, and now it&#8217;s playing out in the in one of the freest nations in the world in America And it&#8217;s exactly what Pope John Paul II said in 1976, that we are now facing the final confrontation between the gospel and the anti-gospel, which is communism. It&#8217;s an anti-gospel, it&#8217;s atheism. He said between the church versus the anti-church, this is clearly what we&#8217;re seeing now. We&#8217;re seeing churches being burnt to the ground almost on a weekly basis from Europe to North America. being damaged, vandalized, or burnt to the ground. I think it was another one yesterday. Uh and then he said between Christ versus the Antichrist. And Deacon Ken Fournier was there and he said he heard those words, although they&#8217;re not in the public record uh of of that it was, I think, reported in the Washington Post But he heard those words, and we&#8217;re seeing this spirit of Antichrist emerging today. And how? Very briefly. I think we&#8217;re seeing it through primarily through uh artificial intelligence, what we&#8217;re seeing in social media and so on, where everything is being focused on me. personal fulfillment. I, and this is exactly what St. Paul says, the Antichrist says, when he takes his seat in the taking the place of God and the seat in the temple. uh making himself taking the place of God and exal extolling himself as if he were God. And you know This is really what&#8217;s happening now where we&#8217;re saying I&#8217;m God of my body. I can take life or death into my own hands. I can modify my body. I can change my body. I can tattoo my body. I can cut my breasts off and my genitalia and turn myself from either a male to a female or vice versa. You can see in all of this that&#8217;s the spirit of Antichrist, declaring myself as God over everything about my whole being. And so now what I have been warning about uh for now over two decades that this was all coming and you know, a lot of people two decades ago raised their eyebrows and mark, Oh, you&#8217;re dark and you&#8217;re negative and you&#8217;re doom and gloom But now we&#8217;re seeing it in Catholic mainstream media coming out. And my job now as a watchman is just kind of I I don&#8217;t really have to shout it out now because I think two things A lot of people are talking about it, like hosts like you, uh mainstream Catholic media. And then the second thing, for those with eyes to see and ears to hear, they can see it. out playing out in the mainstream media and they know that something&#8217;s wrong. And that&#8217;s how I think the biggest sign of the times is when you have the logical and reasonable thinkers who rejected the t the feely sensitive types like me, now they&#8217;re coming out and saying, from a logical perspective Time seems to be up for our world. You you mentioned the word crazy in there and it&#8217;s easy to say that right now, but um so it seems like there&#8217;s a like an epidemic of a breakdown of mental health in our culture right now. But I think you would agree, Mark, that it stems from a breakdown in spiritual health that&#8217;s going on that&#8217;s going on in our times. How did we get here? Why did we lose that strength? Okay, be strong in the Lord. How did we lose that spiritual strength and become so weakened? That it now it&#8217;s it&#8217;s it&#8217;s uh appearing as mental health right now. Mm-hmm.<\/p>\n<p>Mark Mallett \u2022 15:07<br \/>\nYou know, Satan is patient. And uh he&#8217;s been studying human beings since the Garden of Eden. Look, he knew exactly how to tempt Eve and Adam. So from the very beginning, he&#8217;s understood human nature and our capacity also for failure, for sin, for susceptibility to temptation, obviously. He&#8217;s been studying us. So if you understand that, what John Paul II said when we&#8217;re facing the final confrontation understand that Satan has been plotting and planning and conspiring against humanity for centuries. And so it began, I believe, in the fifteenth sorry, the sixteenth century with the apparitions of Our Lady of Guadalupe. At the exact same time, Satan planted the seed of all these isms, communism being one of them, and that was de-ism And w that was Francis Bacon, a Freemasonry. And at the very in that 16th century, we saw the beginning of that final confrontation between the woman clothed in the sun. That&#8217;s exactly how she appeared at at Guadalupe. St. Juan described her as if she was clothed with the sun. He literally said that. And then you had at the same time this philosophy, the Enlightenment period was born with deism. And it was this. It&#8217;s Oh, there&#8217;s a God. He created the heavens and the earth, but like a watchmaker, he kinda wound it all up and he set it aside and it just ticks on its own. And it&#8217;s up to us as human beings to figure it all out. And with that philosophy, along then came rationalism, that if if you can rationalize something, then it&#8217;s real. And and if you can&#8217;t, then it&#8217;s not. And therefore the supernatural slowly began to be disregarded as just kind of silly fantasy. Scientism. If we can measure things scientifically, then it&#8217;s real. If not, if we can&#8217;t verify it empirically, then again, this falls in the realm of religion and myth and so on. So, brothers, think of a ship that if it were to go off course by one degree and you&#8217;re standing on the shore watching it, you&#8217;d hardly know. But a thousand nautical miles down the way, that ship would be way off course. And so it is with humanity We&#8217;ve slowly over the centuries accepted these isms that then became Marxism and socialism and Darwinism and all these isms came about. And slowly and more concretely humanity began to accept practical atheism and so on. And femin radical feminism and all these isms, the sexual revolution. And now the greatism, which is individualism, again, that&#8217;s the spirit of Antichrist. And we&#8217;ve slowly, like the frog being boiled in the water, have gotten to the place where we have culturally and um how can I say corporately, that&#8217;s not the word I&#8217;m looking for, but John Paul II spoke about it being kind of s uh sin becoming structurally acceptable in society So just a an example that everyone will identify with. Forty years ago, I remember standing in line for Star Wars in the 1970s. waiting to see Star Wars come out. And this guy in the line used the F-word and we were all in the line. Everyone was stunned to hear it. Today Almost everybody. You can go into a restaurant and hear the staff using the F-word. You hear people in playgrounds, at uh workplace. We&#8217;ve we&#8217;ve become so dulled to these things that it&#8217;s become accepted. But you&#8217;re right, Father, what happens is when we accept sin, which is contrary to our nature, we still have a conscience. People still have uh it&#8217;s written on their hearts, good and evil. And when we dull that, we are we are blinding ourselves, we&#8217;re accepting something that we know is wrong. And it becomes even worse when it&#8217;s culturally accepted, when everybody else is around you is doing it, yet you still, everyone&#8217;s saying it&#8217;s okay, and yet in your heart you know something&#8217;s wrong. And this leads to mental illness, it leads to psychoses, it leads to drinking, to dull the pain, it leads to drugs, it leads to pornography use, it leads to sexual relationships and seeking out some way to dull the pain of my conscience. And we know this is true. And I think it was one uh I can&#8217;t remember who it was, father who said to me, he said I think he was a Catholic psychologist, and he said 96% of our psychosis would disappear if we went to confession, we repented, and we converted. And uh so I think most of the mental health stuff now we&#8217;re seeing out is now just the fruit of these of what began This final confrontation back in the 16th century, a lady of Guadalupe, remember what happened. She was a herald of the culture of life. But and she appeared in the midst of a culture of death, the ma the Mayan, the Aztec human sacrifice And she crushed it under her heel between her and all of the missionaries in that came from Spain. And Saint Juan Diego, they explained her apparition. They explained what it meant and how it was wrong for us to kill each other in human sacrifice. She ended that. And they no longer did that. They became a Catholic country. Ironically, now, Mexico has once again embraced abortion. Another sign of the times. And so here we are. You see mental illness breaking out, mass killings have become a commonplace, not just in America, but it&#8217;s happening now in Europe, in Canada. And no one&#8217;s stopping and going, we think it&#8217;s gun control. No, it&#8217;s heart control. We have to call people back to repentance and announce the name of Jesus again. But you know what, brothers? I think this generation is so dull to the gospel because of, and they&#8217;re dull to it because they&#8217;ve seen TV preachers who&#8217;ve kind of turned it into a circus. And they&#8217;re going, you know, you you know you repent and turn to Jesus. He&#8217;ll save you and you&#8217;ll be rich and you&#8217;ll be wealthy. And by the way, you can buy our holy water and all your problems will go away. It&#8217;s become a caricature. And so even I sit here as a as an evangelist, as a missionary, wondering, how do we reach this generation again? And I think this is why John Paul II said, and then I&#8217;ll shut up. He said in his document on the rosary, he said, the grave challenges. Okay, I&#8217;ll stop there. He says the grave challenges Confronting the world at the start of the new millennium lead us to think that only an intervention from on high, capable of guiding the hearts of those living in situations of conflict and those governing the destination destinies of nations can give reason to hope for a brighter future. And then he said, the rosary by its nature is a prayer for peace. He said, at times when Christianity itself seemed under threat, its deliverance was attributed to the power of this prayer, and Our Lady of the Rosary was acclaimed as the one whose intercession brought salvation. Why? Well, before we close the show, Doug, I will give you five powerful reasons why we need to pray the rosary. But let me just pause there because I think this is what&#8217;s needed right now. Yeah. Is an intervention on on high because people aren&#8217;t being they&#8217;re not being converted. They can go online and type up uh i you know incorruptible bodies of saints like blessed Carlos Acutis or Saint Carlos Acutis. And we look at it we go, oh cool. And then we move on to the next reel and we&#8217;re off again. We&#8217;re not being moved. So something has to be shaking. And God is going to shake us. That&#8217;s what&#8217;s coming.<\/p>\n<p>Doug Barry \u2022 23:18<br \/>\nYeah, I it&#8217;s an excellent point. We scroll right through things. We look for the next whatever the next uh high headline coming out in the news cycle. And because we have, you know, what we have with AI, internet, and all this social media, we&#8217;re able to have access to stories in corners of the world that we would never have known anything about, you know, 50 or 100 years ago because You just wouldn&#8217;t have had the access to get that information out. Everything is moving at such a speed, but God is still the same, unchanged, as the saints have said, yesterday, today, and forever. And the relationship with God. You know, just last Sunday we had the reading of the still small voice in the cave of where Elijah was. And then Elijah has to go off. He has to go search. He goes into the wilderness, falls asleep under the broom tree. The angel wakes him up, tells him to drink from the jug, eat the cake that given to him. You&#8217;ve got a long journey ahead. Now get in there physically and engage He&#8217;s in the cave and he hears the wind crushing the rocks and the fire passes by and the earthquake. It&#8217;s wind, then earthquake, then fire, and then He hears the still small voice in his heart. He goes to the entrance, covers his face with his mantle, and God speaks to him. That still small voice is how God still works. And we&#8217;re scrolling through life Like, hey, you know what? I&#8217;m not touched by this like I used to. And it&#8217;s just unbelievable. There&#8217;s a great quote I wanted to throw out. I posted this on my on my Facebook page today and my I got it up on my Instagram and all This is from Fulton Sheen, and I think it aligns it very much with what you just said, Mark. Unless souls are saved, nothing is saved. There can be no world peace unless there is soul peace. World wars are only projections of the conflicts waged inside the souls of men and women, for nothing happens in the external world that has not first happened within a soul Fulton Sheen. Uh love your comment on on this this point because it goes along with what you&#8217;re saying. And I think you&#8217;re right. At the end we&#8217;re going to get into the rosary and why the rosary changes what&#8217;s going on inside of our souls. And that&#8217;s where this resides. When our lady says in Fatima. Of all six apparitions, it&#8217;s the only thing that she repeated pretty much every time. When you pray the rosary, you can avert war and you can bring peace to the world. Well, why would it avert war? Well, because it changes the soul, just as Fulton Sheen says here It transforms something inside of us. God is allowed in if we truly pray it, and not just go through motions, of course. Um, you know, I think of uh Matthew 15, I think it&#8217;s verse 8 and 9. You&#8217;re your you honor me with your words, but your hearts are far from me. So God is wanting the heart. He&#8217;s wanting to speak to us with a still small voice. He wants to get in there and transform the soul. So all these external actions as Folden Sheen mentions, like war, violence, corruption, human trafficking, abortion, the transgenderism, all of this and more is changed when the soul is changed. It&#8217;s such a basic, simple point that never changes. It just is always the way God has worked. Interiorly affects the exterior. Can you speak to that a little bit? Because this is where so many of the prophecies of Our Lady have been so clear. Conversion, conversion, conversion, conversion. And that&#8217;s found through prayer, sacraments, and faithfulness to her son. And without the conversion, man will continue to spiral out of control, as you just kind of went through a list of some of the key things that we&#8217;re seeing in our modern times. What are your thoughts about this quote from Fulton Sheen, that still small voice interiorly, and how all of us really need to, I think, I think we should be considering whether or not we&#8217;re just honoring God with our words And whether or not our hearts are really far from him or are we really striving to be close to him? What are your thoughts on all that?<\/p>\n<p>Mark Mallett \u2022 27:02<br \/>\nYeah, b uh powerful stuff there, Doug. I mean uh uh as an epilogue to what Fulton Sheen said He added uh in another webcast he said or t television broadcast, I should say, back then, he said communism then is coming back again on the Western world because something died in the Western world. namely the strong faith of men in the God that made them. So at the heart, as you said, of the r of of the end of communism, what&#8217;s the antidote to this is conversion of the heart. And I mean one soul can can cause a revolution. St. Francis of Assisi, look at how Mother Teresa, Saint Teresa of Calcutta impacted politicians and people all over the world. John Paul II uh was such a powerful saint, so many hundreds of priests My own apostolate really was born from John Paul II. Really was the new evangelization he called for. I tried to answer that. Which is why I&#8217;m sitting in this chair today. So one soul saying yes to Jesus Christ is powerful And uh the the wrong attitude today, and I know that you don&#8217;t do this, Doug, uh, through your preparation, having people physically preparing. But some people get the mindset we just need to hunker down in a refuge or in my my place and just pray and wait it out Yeah. It&#8217;s it&#8217;s you&#8217;ll find that nowhere in our ladies&#8217; messages.<\/p>\n<p>Fr. She says, you convert, live the gospel, be a sign of joy and hope to people around us. Don&#8217;t go sit in a bunker and thumb your rosary beads. That&#8217;s that&#8217;s that&#8217;s what Satan wants you to do. Oh, you go hide You just go hide in your basement and you pray that rosary. That&#8217;s that&#8217;s very clever and it&#8217;s diabolical because w what happens is then the light of faith goes out in the world. And the light of faith isn&#8217;t some It&#8217;s not just this our cathedrals. It&#8217;s not the church bells ringing. The light of faith faith is you and I standing around the coffee pot talking to our colleagues during a coffee break, or at school on campus, or wherever it is, and especially in our homes, being the light of Christ to one another. And that changes them. And if we change them, they change others around us. I mean network marketing people understand this. And that&#8217;s an example of it where we can impact people in ways that we will never see until we get to heaven. And Satan knows this. So he&#8217;s got us all living the status quo. And uh this is why I think the world isn&#8217;t changing. And I all I can do is look in the mirror And say, Mark, uh you&#8217;re to bl yeah, I don&#8217;t blame&#8217;s the right word, but really if I&#8217;m not living like a saint today, uh why am I looking at Donald Trump or Mark Carney of Canada or these politicians and blaming them and blaming the left and blaming the right when the problem is me. Have I really lived the message of Our Lady? Yeah. And brothers, I I&#8217;m just gonna say it. We were talking a little bit before the webcast on this. I mean I look at Mejigoria that received the Nealobstadt of the Church, the Rowini Commission established by Pope Benedict, they declared in that commission at least that the first seven apparitions were authentic. They didn&#8217;t go beyond the first the la the the ones that followed because it&#8217;s still an ongoing apparition. But even today, there&#8217;s a news story about The Vat some Vatican group is there they&#8217;re against the apparitions. I&#8217;m telling you, brothers, this is why the Lord, He must be once again weeping over us, like he wept over Jerusalem, going Can you not discern? I have told you that if you you can discern a tree by its fruit. And I look at Mejigoria that the heart of one of the greatest spiritual revolutions in our generation, if not the entire church since the Acts of the Apostles. where millions of people have been converted, 600 vocations to the priesthood, hundreds of documented miracles, but I&#8217;m telling you thousands, hundreds of thousands, I think, of miracles like my aunt who was physically healed as she climbed the mountain toward that cross and died converting to Catholicism. I mean, I look at the fruits of this And you see in that message, she calls us to a conversion of the heart to her son. She says, the Eucharist, monthly confession, pray the rosary, read the Bible, and fast and pray. That&#8217;s the recipe right now for the conversion of the world. And I hear things coming out of the Vatican, like, oh, we don&#8217;t believe in the supernaturality of it. You know what? We&#8217;re like the Pharisees. We Jesus can do miracles in front of us. He can do amazing things. And we say, hmm, you did it on the Sabbath. Or Hmm, we don&#8217;t like the way people raise hands at these prayer meetings or these adoration things. Hmm. It can&#8217;t be from God. We think that this needs to end and we should crucify him And that&#8217;s what we&#8217;re doing today. And you can tell my frustration with these things because I&#8217;ve always said, brothers, if Mejigory is from the devil, I pray he comes and starts it in my parish. I&#8217;m serious. Come and do it in my parish. Miracles, healing, conversions, and there&#8217;s been nothing but a stream of good fruit. There&#8217;ll always be extreme garbage coming out of anything. But that&#8217;s the good fruit that I think God has sent as an antidote that has really saved many parishes. It&#8217;s saved many people today. who&#8217;ve gone to Medjugoria, that I&#8217;ve talked to priests who said I was converted there, I got my call to the priesthood there. Many of these priests I know them today. There&#8217;s some some of them are some of the most popular preachers in Christendom today Uh, you know some of them like Father Don Callaway and on and on and on. So I dun I uh you know what? If we don&#8217;t get this message of conversion from our lady and we&#8217;re holding out for the illumination of conscience, we we&#8217;re missing the boat. It starts with you and I.<\/p>\n<p>Fr. Richard Heillman \u2022 33:48<br \/>\nMark, our lady is pleading. She has been pleading, at least since Fatima, or maybe all the way back to Guadalupe, but um she&#8217;s held held up the roster and you said, and I&#8217;m chomping in the bit to hear this, you said there&#8217;s five reasons the rosary is so powerful or however you worded it, could you give those to us?<\/p>\n<p>Mark Mallett \u2022 34:08<br \/>\nYeah, I uh thank you for for that. How much time do we have left, Doug, roughly? Uh four hours. We have four hours. Okay. Ten minutes. Ten minutes. Okay. Close to the case. I&#8217;ll try and fit this in the four hours. I&#8217;ll try. Okay. So I I a this is so important because I I think we have a generation that kinda looks at the rosary as just y you do the rosary, right? I&#8217;ve heard a lot of people say, well You know, I uh I did the rosy because that&#8217;s what our our dad said or our mom said, and I just prayed it every day. And we have evangelicals telling us Catholics, you guys are like the Exactly what Jesus condemned in Matthew 6. Don&#8217;t be like the pagans who babble. So the first thing I&#8217;ll say about this is Jesus was condemning pagans because they literally thought The more words that they gave to the pagan gods, the more that they would appease and move their hearts. That&#8217;s not what the rosary is. The rosary is a prayer of meditation, where through the rhythm of praying the Hail Marys, of meditating on the gospel, we&#8217;re contemplating and guiding our prayer through that rhythm You know what? Read the Psalms. Read the canticles in Daniel. And you&#8217;ll see that the psalmist in these canticles. Repeat over and over again. Sun and wind, praise the Lord. Ice and snow, praise the Lord. On and on and on goes that canticle. So how could Jesus be condemning the multiplication of words if it&#8217;s right in Scripture itself? Well he wasn&#8217;t. He was condemning the idea that the more words you give up to God, the more you can move his heart. Don&#8217;t pray, he said, like the pagans. So that&#8217;s my prologue. Five powerful reasons to pray the rosary. Number one, we are praying the gospel. We are meditating on the Word of God. So every mystery of the rosary, and we now have 20 of them with the luminous mysteries, you&#8217;re praying some part of the gospel. And you&#8217;re reflecting on it. The first one is the Annunciation. The angel Gabriel appears to Our Lady and he says to her, Hail full of grace. And so we&#8217;re reflecting on her response. May it be done to me according to your word. How many times, because I&#8217;ve reflected on that mystery, have I now incorporated those words into my own life? That&#8217;s why it&#8217;s so powerful because we&#8217;re meditating on the life of Jesus and Mary and then wanting to imitate it ourselves. So it&#8217;s like a living gospel. Number two, when we do this, we&#8217;re basically sitting at the feet of Mary. Or as John Paul II said If I can find his words. He said, with the rosary, the Christian people sits at the school of Mary and is led to contemplate the beauty on the face of Christ. and to experience the depths of his love. Who can pray the the sorrowful mysteries and not be moved by the agony in the garden, the scourging at the pillar? the crowning of the thorns, the carrying of the cross, and then Jesus dying. You&#8217;re meditating on the incarnate love of God expressed to you. No greater love has any man given. So when you&#8217;re you&#8217;re praying that, you&#8217;re sitting at the school of Mary, and she says, see how my son loves you. See how he loves you. And so he concludes, John Paul II, he says, through the rosary, the faithful receive abundant grace as though from the very hands of the mother of the Redeemer. She who is full of grace. was appointed the mother of the church beneath the cross when Jesus said to John, Behold your mother. And so somehow in the economy of salvation Jesus wanted his mother, who gave birth to him, to be not just the mother of the head of the body of Christ, but also the body, the whole body of Christ. And so, in some mysterious way, Our Lady does give us grace when we sit at the school of Mary. Number three, when you and I pray the rosary, who, I mean, what evangelical is going to disagree with me that the name above all names The most powerful name is not Mary. It&#8217;s Jesus. That&#8217;s the most powerful name. And every knee shall bow and tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. And John Paul II said, though the Rosary is clearly Marian in character, at its heart it&#8217;s a Christocentric prayer. We end the first part of the Helmare by saying, The fruit of thy womb Jesus. The center of gravity in the Hail Mary said John Paul II, the hinge, as it were, which joins its two two parts, is the name of Jesus And he says rightly, sometimes in hurried recitation, the center of gravity can be overlooked, and with it the connection to the mystery of Christ being contemplated Yes, yet it is precisely the emphasis given to the name of Jesus and to his mystery that is the sign of a meaningful and fruitful recitation of the rosary. So, I mean we&#8217;ve all heard it. You go in church and there&#8217;s a little ladies at the front, you know, and they&#8217;re praying the rosary like it&#8217;s like it&#8217;s like it&#8217;s an auction, right? Hail Mary Fellow Grace, the Lord is with thee. Bless our thou blessed for the sold, you know, the statue of Our Lady of Fatima to the lady in the front. That&#8217;s not how we&#8217;re to pray the rosary. John Paul II said, meditate on these mysteries and let the name of Jesus be at the center of that prayer. We pray it 50 times in one rosary. How can that not be powerful? Number four, when you pray the rosary, you are fulfilling prophecy Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. So for one thing, we&#8217;re praying the gospels right now. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women. In Luke chapter 1, our lady said in verse 48, in her magnificat, From now on, all generations will call me bless. Every time you and I pray, the Hail Mary, full of grief, blessed art thou are you among women, we are fulfilling prophecy of Scripture And all of heaven feels it. All of heaven resounds and rejoices with it as we fulfill that our Lady is blessed for all ages. How can the fulfillment of prophecy not be powerful? And the fifth thing, brothers in Christ, and I hope this is obvious to people, and it&#8217;s related to the school of Mary. We&#8217;re not only sitting at the school of Mary learning about Jesus, learning greater depths of his life. I mean I&#8217;ve begun to pray the rosary and after the third hail Mary, God has downloaded, or our lady, an entire teaching. And I&#8217;ve written a blog, stopped right where I was and written a meditation. From those three Hail Marys and then gone back and finished my rosary. But the fifth thing is that we are joining with our lady who is an intercessor. It says in the book of James that the prayer of a righteous person is powerful. And so what is more powerful than she who is full of grace? And we believe as Catholics, based on our sacred tradition, that she was without sin, preserved from sin by God from her birth through the merits of Christ&#8217;s cross And so what is more powerful than the mother of Jesus sitting beside him at the throne pleading and interceding for us like in in chapter, is it chapter uh four I can&#8217;t remember of the book of Revelation. It says the holy ones offer the the the incense and the prayers of the faithful in bowls to God. Is our lady one of the faithful ones who hears the cry of her children on earth who are united to her as a mother? And when she goes to her son and she says, Listen to this prayer, pray through the rosary Do you think she has influence on her son? Well, we know the answer is yes. We are praying the gospel. We&#8217;re sitting at the school of Mary. We&#8217;re praying the name of Jesus. We&#8217;re fulfilling prophecy, and we&#8217;re tapping into the intercession of our Lady. when we pray the rosary, and this is why John Paul II said, It is to the rosary that we can attribute that at times when Christianity seemed to be disappearing, it was through the rosary. that God intervened and saved us. And now every seer, brothers, that we have on countdown to the kingdom, every one of them is calling us to pray the rosary. Do you think it&#8217;s because we need to? We need that grace? Yes. Amen.<\/p>\n<p>Doug Barry \u2022 42:55<br \/>\nWell, that doesn&#8217;t even address um the miracles of the rosary, the battle of Le Ponto, or other locations where the rosary has been so instrumental and key in even dealing with um global events such as natural disasters and wars. and and and the like. It is something that is the m mystery behind it. Someone said to me recently, well, what&#8217;s your explanation in defense of the rosary to a Protestant or a non-Catholic or someone who doesn&#8217;t understand it Um and my answer this time was um well you know there&#8217;s great writings on it. I think people should look into it, but uh you know what I would recommend? I&#8217;d recommend they pray it themselves and ask her. Ask her. Let Mary explain it because until you dig into it and really wallow in the beauty of what the mysteries and the prayers can do. And you know what? You&#8217;re telling yourself I&#8217;m going to take a deep breath, and on a natural level, I&#8217;m taking 15 to 20 minutes minimum to just rest. And recite these prayers with these meditations, that alone will mentally and physically rejuvenate you And that&#8217;s part of it as well. Fulton Sheen would talk about the amount of time it takes to pray the rosary is what psychologists have said is actually a helpful, necessary time for the brain to kind of rejuvenate and find a reset, if you will. So there&#8217;s there&#8217;s all kinds of even physical components of fruit to the rosary that is just unbelievable. But on top of that, again, Rosary Novina of our for our nation, 548 begins August 15th, and we are begging people. to get on board with this and don&#8217;t stop after the 54 days because our lady said pray this every day.<\/p>\n<p>Fr.
