In recent days, Canada has been\u00a0moving toward\u00a0some of the most extreme euthanasia\u00a0laws in the world to not only permit “patients”\u00a0of most\u00a0ages to commit suicide, but force doctors and Catholic hospitals to assist them. One young doctor sent me a text saying,\u00a0 <\/em><\/p>\n

I had a dream once. In it, I became a physician because I thought they wanted to help people.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

And so today, I am republishing this writing from four\u00a0years ago.\u00a0For too long, many in the\u00a0Church have\u00a0set these realities aside, passing them off as “doom and gloom.” But suddenly, they are now on our doorstep with a battering ram.\u00a0The Judas Prophecy is coming to pass as we enter the most painful part of the “final confrontation” of this age…<\/em><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘WHY <\/strong>did Judas commit suicide? That is, why did he not reap his sin of betrayal in another form, such as being beaten and robbed of his silver by thieves or being slain on the roadside by a mob of Roman soldiers? Instead, the fruit of Judas’ sin was suicide.<\/em> On the surface, it appears as if he was simply a man driven to despair. But there is something far deeper in his ungodly death that speaks to our day, serving, in fact, as a warning<\/em>.<\/p>\n

It is the Judas prophecy.<\/em><\/p>\n

TWO PATHS<\/p>\n

Both Judas and Peter betrayed Jesus in their own way. Both of them represent that ever-present spirit of rebellion within and without man, and an inclination toward sin we call concupiscence<\/em> [1]<\/sup><\/a>cf. Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC), <\/em>n. 1264<\/span><\/span>
