 <\/p>\n

“WOULD <\/strong>you pray over me?” she asked, as I was about to leave their home where she and her husband took care of me during my mission there in California several weeks ago. “Of course,” I said.<\/p>\n

She sat down in a chair in the living room facing a wall of icons of Jesus, Mary and the saints. As I placed my hands on her shoulders and began to pray, I was struck by a clear image in my heart of Our Blessed Mother standing beside this woman to her left. She was wearing a crown, like the statue of Fatima; it was strapped with gold with white velvet in between. Our Lady’s hands were outstretched, and her sleeves were rolled up like she was going to work!<\/p>\n

At that moment, the woman I was praying over began to weep. I continued to pray over this precious soul, a faithful worker in God’s vineyard, for a few more minutes. When I was done, she turned to me and said, “When you began to pray, I felt someone squeeze my left hand.<\/em> I opened my eyes, thinking it was either you or my husband… but when I realized no one was there…” That’s when I told her who<\/em> I saw beside her as I began to pray. We were both awestruck: the Blessed Mother had just held her hand…<\/p>\n

SHE WILL HOLD YOUR HAND TOO<\/p>\n

Yes, and this Mother will hold your hand too, for she is also your<\/em> Mother. As the Church teaches:<\/p>\n

Before Christ\u2019s second coming the Church must pass through a final trial that will shake the faith of many believers\u2026 The Church will enter the glory of the kingdom only through this final Passover, when she will follow her Lord in his death and Resurrection.\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0 \u2014Catechism of the Catholic Church<\/em>, n.<\/span>672, 677<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

She was the only disciple of Christ’s to remain with Him throughout His Passion. She held Him, if only by her gentle presence, by being present to Him. There, at the foot of the Cross, she heard for certain that, not only was she the “mother of my Lord<\/em>“, [1]<\/sup><\/a>cf. Luke 1:43<\/span><\/span>
