Guth fola do bhràthar
a' glaodhaich rium o'n talamh," (Gen 4:10).
— PAPACH ST Eòin PAUL II, Evangelium Vitae, chan eil. 10
Agus mar sin tha mi gu sòlaimte ag innse dhut an-diugh
nach eil mi an urra ri fuil gin agaibh,
oir cha do ghiorraich mi bho bhith a ’gairm dhut plana Dhè gu h-iomlan…
Mar sin bi faiceallach agus cuimhnich sin airson trì bliadhna, oidhche is latha,
Chàirich mi gach aon agaibh le deòir.
(Gnìomharan 20: 26-27, 31)
Às deidh trì bliadhna de sgrùdadh dian agus sgrìobhadh air an “galar lèir-sgaoilte,” a ’toirt a-steach a aithriseach that went viral, I have written very little about it in the past year. Partly due to extreme burnout, partly a need to decompress from the discrimination and hatred my family experienced in the community where we formerly lived. That, and one can only warn so much until you hit critical mass: when those with ears to hear have heard — and the rest will only understand once the consequences of unheeded warning touches them personally.
