And thus, we see a divine formula geared to our happiness and freedom: The Son only does what the Father has taught Him; the Apostles only do what Jesus taught them; the successors of the Apostles only do what their predecessors taught them; and you and I only do what they in turn teach us (or are we less submissive than Christ?). But the world wishes to stand in our faces, and with growing intolerance, declare that this is a formula for oppression.
