WHatukabiliani na mwisho wa dunia. Kwa kweli, hatukabiliani hata na dhiki za mwisho za Kanisa. Tunachokabiliana nacho ni makabiliano ya mwisho katika historia ndefu ya makabiliano kati ya Shetani na Kanisa la Kristo: vita ya kuanzisha moja au nyingine ufalme wao duniani.[1]cf. Sasa tumesimama mbele ya mapambano makubwa ya kihistoria ambayo ubinadamu umepitia. Sidhani kwamba duru pana za jamii ya Amerika au duru pana za jamii ya Kikristo zinatambua hii kikamilifu. Following the Passion

It is also what Jesus taught the Apostles:

The Glory of the Kingdom
Hii "siku ya kupumzika” or “refreshing” prophesied by the Old Testament prophets, that follows the “Passover” of the Church, is affirmed in both Scripture and Sacred Tradition:
St. Peter says to the Jews of Jerusalem after Pentecost: “Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, that times of refreshing may come from the pre sence of the Lord, and that he may send the Christ appointed for you, Jesus, whom heaven must receive until the time for establishing all that God spoke by the mouth of his holy prophets from of old”… Before Christ’s second coming the Church must pass through a final trial that will shake the faith of many believers… The Church will enter the glory of the kingdom only through this final Passover, when she will follow her Lord in his death and Resurrection. -Katekisimu ya Kanisa Katoliki, n. 674, 672, 677

After the Beast is destroyed, St. John foresaw this fulfillment of the Divine Will in the saints, this glorious reign of the Kingdom in the Church, as concomitant with a “ufufuo wa kwanza” — those “for whom it has been prepared” (Mark 10:40):

Kuja Kati
Kwa hivyo, "makabiliano ya mwisho" ya enzi hii hayafiki kilele na mwisho wa ulimwengu, lakini kuanzishwa kwa Ufalme wa Mungu ndani ya wale wanaovumilia hadi mwisho. Ni kana kwamba alfajiri ya kurudi kwa Kristo huanza kwa watakatifu, njia ile ile ambayo nuru huvunja upeo wa macho kabla ya jua kuchomoza. [5]cf. Tunajua kuwa kuna kuja mara tatu kwa Bwana… Katika kuja mwisho, wote wenye mwili watauona wokovu wa Mungu wetu, na watamtazama yule waliyemchoma. Kuja kwa kati ni kwa siri; ndani yake tu wateule wanamwona Bwana ndani ya nafsi zao, na wameokolewa. -Liturujia ya Masaa, Vol I, p. 169; cf. Kuja Kati
Nini kinatokea baada ya makabiliano ya mwisho ya enzi hii na "enzi ya amani" inayofuata, [6]cf. Jinsi Era Iliyopotea na Millenarianism-Ni nini na sio iko wazi katika Maandiko:
When the thousand years are completed, Satan will be released from his prison. He will go out to deceive the nations at the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them for battle; their number is like the sand of the sea. They invaded the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of the holy ones and the beloved city. But fire came down from heaven and consumed them. (Ufu. 20: 7-9)
Ufalme utatimizwa, basi, sio kwa ushindi wa kihistoria wa Kanisa kupitia a kuongezeka kwa maendeleo, lakini tu kwa ushindi wa Mungu juu ya kufunuliwa kwa uovu mwisho, ambayo itasababisha Bibi-arusi wake kushuka kutoka mbinguni. Kwa hivyo, ndugu na dada, tunapaswa kufanya nini tunapoingia sasa katika baadhi ya masaa ya giza kabisa ya "mapambano ya mwisho" ya sasa? Kama nilivyoandika hapo awali, wacha tujiandae badala ya Kristo, sio Mpinga Kristo; wacha tujiandae na Mama yetu kwa ujio huu wa Yesu katika Roho Yake aliyetukuzwa, kama katika Pentekoste mpya; tujiandae kuishi katika Mapenzi yake ya Kimungu kwa kujiondoa sasa kwa mapenzi yetu wenyewe; wacha tumilikishwe kabisa na Mungu ili tuweze kumiliki Yeye, sasa, na katika wakati ujao. Wacha tufuate nyayo zake siku hii, tukiwa waaminifu katika jukumu la wakati huu; kwa kuwa kwa njia hii, tutafika salama popote tulipokusudiwa kwenda.
Since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast to our confession. (Second reading)
Knowing that, in Jesus, we are assured victory, let us pray in all hope and joy the words of the psalmist — for Jesus has not left us behind; He is with us until the very end.
See, the eyes of the Lord are upon those who fear him, upon those who hope for his kindness, to deliver them from death and preserve them in spite of famine. Our soul waits for the Lord, who is our help and our shield. May your kindness, O Lord, be upon us who have put our hope in you. (Zaburi 33: 18-21)
