Ukudingiswa kweSiphepho uKatrina, eNew Orleans

 

FIRST eshicilelwe ngoSepthemba 7, 2006, leli gama likhule ngamandla enhliziyweni yami muva nje. Ucingo lukulungiselela bobabili ngokomzimba futhi Ngokomoya ngoba ekudingisweni. Selokhu ngabhala lokhu ngonyaka odlule, sikubonile ukufuduka kwezigidi zabantu, ikakhulukazi e-Asia nase-Afrika, ngenxa yezinhlekelele zemvelo nempi. Umyalezo omkhulu ungowokukhuthaza: UKristu usikhumbuza ukuthi siyizakhamizi zaseZulwini, abahambi ngezinyawo besendleleni egodukayo, nokuthi imvelo yethu engokomoya nengokwemvelo ezungezile kufanele ikubonakalise lokho. 

 

I-EXILE 

Igama "ukuthunjwa" liqhubeka libhukuda engqondweni yami, kanye nalokhu:

INew Orleans ibiyi-microcosm yalokho okuzayo… manje usuzolile ngaphambi kwesiphepho.

Ngesikhathi kuhlasela iSiphepho uKatrina, izakhamuzi eziningi zazithola sezidingisiwe. Kwakungenandaba ukuthi ucebile noma umpofu, umhlophe noma umnyama, abefundisi noma abantu abavamile — uma usendleleni yabo, bekufanele uthuthe manje. Kukhona "ukuzamazama" komhlaba wonke okuzayo, futhi kuzokhiqiza ezifundeni ezithile abadingisiwe. 

 

Kuyakuba-njalo nakubantu, kube njalo nakumpristi; njengenceku, kanjalo nenkosi yayo; njengencekukazi, kunjalo ngenkosikazi yayo; njengakumthengi, kanjalo nakumthengisi; njengalowo obolekayo, kanjalo nombolekayo; njengoba kunjalo kokweletwayo, kunjalo nakomkweletayo. (U-Isaya 24: 1-2)

Kepha ngikholwa ukuthi kuzoba khona futhi okuthile ekudingisweni ngokomoya, ukuhlanzwa ikakhulukazi eSontweni. Ngonyaka odlule, la mazwi aqhubekile enhliziyweni yami:  

ISonto liseNsimini yaseGetsemane, futhi selizongena ezilingweni zePassion. (Qaphela: iSonto lihlangabezana nakho ngaso sonke isikhathi nakuzo zonke izizukulwane ngokuzalwa, impilo, uthando, ukufa nokuvuka kukaJesu.)

Njengoba kukhonjisiwe ku Ingxenye III, UPapa John Paul II ngo-1976 (ngaleso sikhathi owayenguKhadinali uKarol Wojtyla) wathi sesingene empikiswaneni yokugcina phakathi “kweSonto nabamelene nesonto.” Uphethe ngokuthi:

Lokhu kungqubuzana kuphakathi kwezinhlelo zikaNkulunkulu. Kuyicala okumele iSonto lonke lilithathe.

Umlandeli wakhe uphinde waveza lokhu kushayisana okuqondile kweSonto ne-anti-gospel:

Siphokophele ekubuseni kobushiqela bokubusa ngokweqiniso okungaboni lutho ngokuqinisekile futhi olunomgomo wokuphakama komuntu kanye nezifiso zakhe siqu… —UPapa uBenedict XVI (uKhadinali Ratzinger, pre-conclave Homily(Ephreli 18, 2005)

UKUDIDEKA EBANDLENI

ENsimini yaseGetsemane, icala laqala ngenkathi uJesu eboshwa futhi ethathwa. Kuleli hlobo, mina kanye nabanye abazalwane ababili enkonzweni besinomqondo emahoreni omunye komunye ukuthi umcimbi kungenzeka eRoma ozoqala ukuqala kwalokhu ekudingisweni ngokomoya.

'Ngizoshaya umalusi, izimvu zomhlambi zihlakazeke'… Judasi, ukhaphela iNdodana yomuntu ngokuyiqabula na? ” Base behamba bonke abafundi, bambalekela yena. (Mat 26:31; Luk 22:48; Mat 26:56)

Babalekela ekudingisweni, kulokho umuntu angakusho kwakuyi-mini-schism.

Abaningi abangcwele nabangamanga bakhulume ngesikhathi esizayo lapho uPapa ezophoqeleka ukuba ashiye iRoma. Yize lokhu kungabonakala kungenakwenzeka emiqondweni yethu yamanje, asikwazi ukukhohlwa lelo Russia lamaKhomanisi wenza ukuzama ukususa uPapa John Paul II engaphumelelanga emzamweni wokubulala. Kunoma ikuphi, umcimbi obalulekile eRoma ungaletha ukudideka eSontweni. Ngabe uPapa wethu wamanje usekuzwile lokhu? Enkulumweni yakhe yokuqala, amazwi kaPapa Benedict XVI wokuvala athi:

Ngikhulekeleni, ukuze ngingabaleki ngokwesaba izimpisi. —U-Ephreli 24, 2005, eSt. Peter's Square

Kungakho-ke kumele sigxile eNkosini manje, emi ngokuqinile eDwaleni, okuyiBandla Lakhe. Izinsuku ziyeza lapho kuzoba khona ukudideka okukhulu, mhlawumbe ukwahlukana, okuzodukisa abaningi. Iqiniso lizobonakala lingaqinisekile, abaprofethi bamanga abaningi, insali ethembekile imbalwa… isilingo sokuhamba nezimpikiswano eziqinisekisayo zosuku siyoba namandla, futhi ngaphandle kokuthi umuntu abe esegxilile i-tsunami yenkohliso cishe ngeke kwenzeke ukubaleka. Ukushushiswa kuzokwenzeka zivela ngaphakathi, njengoba noJesu ekugcineni alahlwa, hhayi ngabantu baseRoma, kodwa ngabantu baKhe uqobo.

Kumele silethe uwoyela owengeziwe wezibani zethu manje! (bheka UMat 25: 1-13) Ngikholwa ukuthi kuzoba ngumusa ongaphezu kowemvelo ozothwala iSonto elisele phakathi nenkathi ezayo, ngakho-ke, kumele sikufune lokhu uwoyela waphezulu ngenkathi sisakwazi.

Kuzovela omesiya bamanga nabaprofethi bamanga, futhi bazokwenza izibonakaliso nezimangaliso ezinkulu kakhulu ukuze bakhohlise, uma lokho kungenzeka, ngisho nabakhethiweyo. (Math 24: 24)

Ubusuku buyaqhubeka, kanti iNkanyezi Enyakatho yeNkosikazi Yethu isiqala ukukhomba indlela enqamula e ukushushiswa okuzayo osekuqalile ngezindlela eziningi. Ngakho-ke, ukhalela imiphefumulo eminingi.

Khazimulisa uJehova uNkulunkulu wakho kungakabi mnyama; ngaphambi kokuba izinyawo zakho zikhubeke ezintabeni ezimnyama; ngaphambi kokuba ukukhanya okudingayo kuphendukele ebumnyameni, kushintshe kube ngamafu amnyama. Uma ungalaleli lokhu ngokuziqhenya kwakho, ngizokhala ngasese izinyembezi eziningi; amehlo ami agijimela izinyembezi emhlambini weNkosi, waholelwa ekudingisweni. (Jer 13: 16-17)

 

UKULUNGISELELA…

Ngenkathi umhlaba uqhubeka ungene ekuwohlokeni okungalawuleki nasekuvivinyweni kwesisekelo sempilo kanye nomphakathi, ngibona enye into yenzeka eSontweni lensali: kunesifiso sangaphakathi sokuthi ahlanzekile, kokubili Ngokomoya futhi ngokomzimba.

Kunjengokungathi iNkosi ihambisa abantu bayo endaweni, ukubalungiselela lokho okuzayo. Ngikhumbula uNowa nomndeni wakhe abachitha iminyaka besakha umkhumbi. Lapho isikhathi sifika, babengakwazi ukuthatha yonke impahla yabo, nje lokho ababekudinga. Kanjalo futhi, lokhu kuyisikhathi sesikhathi se- iqembu elingokomoya eyamaKrestu — isikhathi sokukhipha okungadingekile nalezo zinto eseziyizithixo. Ngakho-ke, umKrestu oyiqiniso uba yinto ephikisanayo ezweni elithanda izinto ezibonakalayo, futhi angahle ahlekwe usulu noma anganakwa, njengoNowa.

Ngempela, lawo mazwi afanayo okuhlekisa kukhona ukukhuliswa ngokumelene neBandla kuze kube seqophelweni lokumsola "ngobugebengu obunenzondo" ngokukhuluma iqiniso.

Njengasemihleni kaNowa, kuzakuba-njalo emihleni yeNdodana yomuntu. Babedla, bephuza, bendisa, bendiswa, kwaze kwaba lusuku uNowa angena ngalo emkhunjini, kwafika uzamcolo, wababhubhisa bonke. (ULuka 17: 26-27)

Kuyathakazelisa ukuthi uKristu wagxila "emshadweni" walezo "zinsuku zeNdodana yomuntu". Ngabe kwenzeka ngengozi ukuthi umshado ube yindawo yokulwa yokuqhubekisela phambili uhlelo lokuthulisa iSonto?

 

UMKHUBA WESIVUMELWANO ESISHA 

Namuhla, “umkhumbi” omusha yi Intombi enguMariya. Njengoba umphongolo wesivumelwano seTestamente Elidala uthwala izwi likaNkulunkulu, iMiyalo Eyishumi, uMariya uyi Umphongolo Wesivumelwano Esisha, owathwala futhi wazala uJesu Kristu, IZwi lenziwa inyama. Futhi njengoba uKristu engumfowethu, nathi singabantwana bakhe abangokomoya.

Uyinhloko yomzimba, iSonto; uyisiqalo, izibulo kwabafileyo… (Kol 1: 8)

Uma uKristu eyizibulo labaningi, angithi-ke sizalwa ngumama ofanayo? Thina esikholwe futhi sabhaphathizwa ekukholweni singamalungu amaningi oMzimba munye. Futhi-ke, sihlanganyela kunina kaKristu njengabethu ngoba ungumama kaKristu iNhloko, noMzimba wakhe.

Kwathi uJesu ebona unina nomfundi amthandayo bemi eduze, wathi kunina: “Mame, bheka, indodana yakho.” Wayesethi kumfundi lowo: “Bheka unyoko.” (UJohn 19: 26-27)

Indodana okukhulunywa ngayo lapha, emele iBandla lonke, nguMphostoli uJohane. Ku-Apocalypse yakhe, ukhuluma “ngowesifazane ogqoke ilanga” (Izambulo 12) lowo uPiux X kaPapa noBenedict XVI bakaPapa abamkhomba njengeNtombi Ezibusisiwe uMariya:

Ngakho-ke uJohn wabona uMama oNgcwele oNgcwele kaNkulunkulu esenenjabulo yaphakade, kepha esabeletha ngokubeletha okuyimfihlakalo. -UPAPA PIUS X, I-Encyclical I-Ad Diem Illum Laetissimum24

Uyasizala, futhi ubelethiswa, inamba njengoba "udrako" elandela iSonto ukulibhubhisa:

Khona-ke udrako wamthukuthelela owesifazane, wahamba wayokulwa nabaseleyo benzalo yakhe, nalabo abagcina imiyalo kaNkulunkulu futhi abafakaza ngoJesu. (Izambulo 12:17)

Ngakho-ke, ezikhathini zethu, uMary umema zonke izingane zakhe endaweni yokuphepha nokuphepha kwe-Immaculate Heart yakhe — uMphongolo omusha — ikakhulukazi njengoba izijeziso ezizayo zibonakala zisondela (njengoba kuxoxiwe Ingxenye III). Ngiyazi ukuthi lemiqondo ingazwakala inzima kubafundi bami abangamaProthestani, kepha ukuba ngumama kukaMariya ngokomoya kwaba yinto eyamukelwa ngu Konke Isonto:

UMariya unguMama kaJesu noMama wethu sonke yize kwakunguKristu yedwa owaguqa ngamadolo akhe… Uma engowethu, kufanele sibe sesimeni sakhe; lapho ekhona, nathi kufanele sibe khona nakho konke anakho kufanele kube okwethu, nonina ungumama wethu. —UMartin Luther, Intshumayelo, uKhisimusi, 1529.

Ukuvikelwa komama okunjalo kwanikezwa kanye ngaphambili, ngesikhathi lapho isinqumo sasilungele ukuwela emhlabeni njengoba sembulwa yimbonakalo evunyelwe yiSonto eFatima, ePortugal ngo-1917.

“Angisoze ngakushiya; Inhliziyo Yami Engaphelele iyoba yisiphephelo sakho, nendlela ezokuholela kuNkulunkulu. ”

Indlela umuntu angena ngayo kuloMphongolo ngokujwayelekile kungenxa yalokho ukuzinikela okudumile okubiza ngokuthi "ukungcweliswa" kuMariya. Lokho kusho ukuthi, umuntu wamukela uMariya njengoMama wakho ongokomoya, amnike konke impilo nezenzo zakhe ukuze aholelwe ebudlelwaneni beqiniso noJesu. Kuyisenzo esihle, esigxile kuKristu. (Ungafunda ngokuzinikezela kwami lapha, bese uthola i- umthandazo wokuzinikela kanjalo. Selokhu ngenza lesi "senzo sokungcweliswa", ngithole umusa omusha omangalisayo ohambweni lwami lokomoya.)

 

EKUDINGWENI — HHAYI UKUKHISHWA

Luseduze usuku lweNkosi, yebo, iNkosi ilungiselele idili lokuhlatshwa, ingcwelisile izivakashi zayo. (Zef 1: 7)

Labo abenze lokhu kungcweliswa futhi bangena ku- Umphongolo Wesivumelwano Esisha (futhi lokhu kungafaka noma ngubani othembekile kuJesu Kristu) basesekusithekeni, ekusithekeni kwezinhliziyo zabo, belungiselelwa uvivinyo oluzayo — belungiselelwa ekudingisweni. Ngaphandle kokuthi, bayenqaba ukusebenzisana neZulu.

Ndodana yomuntu, uhlala phakathi kwendlu ehlubukayo; banamehlo okubona kepha ababoni, nezindlebe zokuzwa kepha abezwa… emini besabheke, lungisa umthwalo wakho kube sengathi ungowokudingiswa, futhi lapho besabuka, hamba usuka lapho uhlala khona enye indawo; mhlawumbe bazobona ukuthi bayindlu ehlubukayo. (UHezekeli 12: 1-3)

Kuningi okuxoxwa ngakho kulezi zinsuku kuzwakala “ngezindawo ezingcwele”, ezibeka izindawo uNkulunkulu azilungisayo emhlabeni wonke njengeziphephelo zabantu baKhe. (Kungenzeka, yize inhliziyo kaKristu nomama waKhe beyizindawo zokukhosela eziqinisekile nezingunaphakade.) Kukhona nalabo abasibona isidingo sokwenza izinto zabo zibe lula futhi babe “ngabalungele.”

Kepha ukufuduka okubalulekile komKrestu kufanele kube yilowo ohlala emhlabeni, kepha hhayi owezwe; isihambeli esithunjiwe sisuka ezweni lakithi laseZulwini, kepha kuyisibonakaliso sokuphikisana nezwe. UmKristu ungomunye ophila iVangeli, ethululela impilo yakhe ngothando nasenkonzweni ezweni eligxile ku “I”. Silungisa izinhliziyo zethu, "imithwalo" yethu, njengokungathi iya ekudingisweni. 

UNkulunkulu usilungiselela ukudingiswa, nganoma iyiphi indlela okuza ngayo. Kepha asibizelwe ukufihla!  Kunalokho, lesi yisikhathi sokumemezela iVangeli ngezimpilo zethu; ukumemezela iqiniso ngesibindi ngothando, kungaba ngenkathi noma ngaphandle. Yisizini yoMusa, ngakho-ke, kufanele sibe njalo izimpawu yomusa nethemba emhlabeni ohlupheka ebumnyameni besono. Makungabikho abangcwele abadabukisayo!

Futhi kufanele siyeke ukukhuluma ngokuba ngamaKristu. Kumele sikwenze. Vala i-TV, uguqe ngamadolo, bese uthi “Nangu mina Nkosi! Ngithumele!" Bese ulalele ukuthi uthini kuwe… ukwenze. Ngiyakholelwa kulo mzuzu ukuthi abanye benu babhekene nokukhululwa kwamandla kaMoya oNgcwele ongaphakathi kini. Ungesabi! UKristu akasoze akushiya, naphakade. Akakunikanga umoya wobugwala, kodwa wamandla nothando nokuzithiba! (2 Thim 1: 7)

UJesu ukubizela esivinini: imiphefumulo ilinde inkululeko… imiphefumulo edingisiwe ezweni lobumnyama. Futhi o, sifushane kangakanani isikhathi!

Ungesabi ukuphuma emigwaqweni nasezindaweni zomphakathi njengabaphostoli bokuqala, ababeshumayela uKristu nezindaba ezinhle zensindiso ezigcawini zamadolobha, amadolobhana kanye nemizana. Lesi akusona isikhathi sokuba namahloni ngeVangeli. Yisikhathi sokushumayela ususophahleni lwendlu. Ungesabi ukugqashula ezindleleni zokuphila ezinethezekile nezijwayelekile ukuze ubhekane nenselelo yokwenza uKrestu aziwe “enhlokodolobha” yanamuhla.
