Ishicilelwe okokuqala ngoNovemba 29, 2006, ngivuselele lo mbhalo obalulekile:

 

AT ukuqala kwenkonzo yami cishe eminyakeni eyishumi nane edlule, ngaba nephupho elicacile elibuye libuyele ngaphambili kwemicabango yami.

Ngangisendaweni yokuhlehla kanye namanye amaKrestu ngenkathi ngokungazelelwe iqembu labantu abasha langena. Babeneminyaka engamashumi amabili, owesilisa nowesifazane, bonke bekhanga kakhulu. Kwakungicacela ukuthi babethatha buthule le ndlu yokubuyela emuva. Ngikhumbula ukuthi kufanele ngidlulise amafayela ngidlule kubo. Babemomotheka, kodwa amehlo abo ayebanda. Kwakunobubi obufihliwe ngaphansi kobuso babo obuhle, obubambekayo kunokubonakalayo.

Into elandelayo engiyikhumbulayo (kubonakala sengathi ingxenye ephakathi nephupho kungenzeka ukuthi isusiwe, noma ngomusa kaNkulunkulu angikwazi ukuyikhumbula), ngazithola ngiphuma esitokisini. Umkami wavuka, ezwa ukucindezeleka kwami, wakhuza umoya, futhi ukuthula kwaqala ukubuya kancane kancane.

 

NGOKUKHO 

Ngithathe isinqumo sokuhlanganyela leli phupho manje, ngaphansi kokuholwa ngumqondisi ongokomoya wale mibhalo, ngesizathu sokuthi izimpawu eziningi bezilokhu zivela zokuthi laba "bantu abasha abasha" bangene emhlabeni naseSontweni uqobo. Okuyinkinga kakhulu ukuthi hhayi kuphela abantu abambalwa abazibonayo lezi zindlela eziphazamisayo, kepha amaKrestu amaningi manje asebenzisa le mibono. Abagcini ngokudlula lobuso obuhle-baqala ume emgqeni nazo.

Umbuzo uthi ngabe lokhu kungabi namthetho okukhulayo kuzofinyelela emvuthwandaba kulokho u-2 Thesalonika akubiza ngokuthi “ongenamthetho”? Ngabe lobushiqela bobudlova buzovuthwa nini ekudalweni kobushiqela?

 

OKUNGENZEKA

Angisho ngokuqinisekile ukuthi umuntu woMphikukristu ukhona emhlabeni, yize iningi lezimanga zesikhathi samanje ngisho nopapa baphakamise okuningi. Lapha, kubukeka sengathi babhekise “kumphikukristu” okukhulunywa ngaye kuDaniel, Matthew, Thessalonis kanye neSambulo:

Lokho kwakusho ngo-1903. Wayezothini uPius X ukube wayesaphila namuhla? Ukube ubengangena emakhaya amaKhatholika abone okulungile okujwayelekile kumathelevishini abo; ukubona ukuthi hlobo luni lwemfundo yobuKrestu ehanjiswa ezikoleni zamaKhatholika; luhlobo luni lwenhlonipho olunikezwa eMiseni; hlobo luni lwemfundiso yenkolo olufundiswa emanyuvesi nakuma-seminari ethu amaKhatholika; kushunyayelwa (noma akushunyayelwa) epulpiti? Ukubona izinga lethu lokushumayela ivangeli, intshiseko yethu ngeVangeli, nendlela eliphila ngayo umKatolika? Ukubona ukuthanda izinto ezibonakalayo, udoti, nokwehluka phakathi kwabacebile nabampofu? Ukubona umhlaba ugcwele indlala enkulu, ukuqothulwa kohlanga, izifo ezithathelwana ngocansi, isehlukaniso, ukukhipha isisu, ukwamukelwa kwezinye izindlela zokuphila, ukuhlolwa kwezakhi zofuzo nokuntengantenga kwemvelo uqobo?

Ucabanga ukuthi wayezothini?

 

ABAPHIKISI ABANINGI

Umphostoli uJohane uthi,

Bantwana, yihora lokugcina leli; futhi njengoba nje nizwile ukuthi umphikukristu uyeza, ngakho manje sekuvele abaphikukristu abaningi. Ngalokho siyazi ukuthi leli yihora lokugcina… yonke imimoya engamvumeli uJesu ayiyona ekaNkulunkulu. Lokhu kungumoya womphikukristu, njengoba wezwa, uyeza, kepha empeleni usekhona emhlabeni. Okusikhathaza kakhulu esikhathini sethu ukuthi izimo ze ukubusa umhlaba wonke zikhula zibe isiphepho esiphelele. Ukuqhubeka kwezwe kube nezinxushunxushu zobuphekula, ukuwa komnotho, kanye nokusongelwa kabusha kwenuzi kudala ukudala isikhala ekuthuleni komhlaba — isikhala esingenza ukuthi sigcwaliswe nguNkulunkulu, noma ngokuthize — noma othile—Nesisombululo “esisha”.

Kuya kuba nzima ukungazinaki izinto ezingokoqobo eziphambi kwethu.

Muva nje ngenkathi ngiseYurophu, ngihlangane kafushane noSr. Emmanuel, indela laseFrance leBeatitudes Community. Waziwa umhlaba wonke ngezimfundiso zakhe eziqondile, ezigcotshiwe neziphilile ngokuguquka, ukuthandaza nokuzila ukudla. Ngasizathu simbe, ngazizwa ngiphoqelekile ukuthi ngikhulume ngokuthi kungenzeka ukuthi Umphikukristu angaba khona.

"Dadewethu, kunezinto eziningi ezenzekayo ezibonakala zikhomba ukuthi kungenzeka ukuba khona kukamphikukristu." Wangibuka, wamomotheka, futhi ngaphandle kokuphuthelwa isigqi waphendula.

KHULEKA, KHULEKA, KHULEKA 

Angavinjelwa yini umphikukristu? Ngabe umthandazo ungahlehlisa enye inkathi yobubi emhlabeni owile? UJohn usitshela ukuthi kunabaphikukristu abaningi, futhi siyazi ukuthi omunye wabo uzofinyelela umvuthwandaba wakhe “enkathini yokubhubha,” ku “Isilo” seSambulo 13. Ingabe sikuleso sikhathi? Umbuzo ubalulekile ngoba, kanye nokubusa kwalo muntu, kuyinto Inkohliso enkulu okuzokhohlisa amanani amakhulu ohlanga lwesintu…

… Lowo okufika kwakhe kuvela emandleni kaSathane kuzo zonke izenzo ezinamandla nangezibonakaliso nezimangaliso ezinamanga, nakuzo zonke izinkohliso ezimbi kulabo ababhubhayo ngoba abalwamukelanga uthando lweqiniso ukuze basindiswe. Ngakho-ke, uNkulunkulu ubathumela amandla akhohlisayo ukuze bakholwe ngamanga, ukuze bonke abangakholwanga eqinisweni kepha bavume ukwenza okubi bagwetshwe. (2 Thes. 2: 9-12)

Yingakho kufanele “sibheke futhi sithandaze.”

Lapho umuntu ecubungula zonke izinto, kusuka ezibukweni zikaMama Wethu Obusisiwe ("owesifazane ogqoke ilanga" olwa nodrako); izambulo kuSt Faustina ukuthi sisesikhathini sokugcina somusa silungiselela "ukubuya kwesibili"; amazwi aqinile okubhujiswa opapa abaningana besimanje, namazwi esiprofetho ababoni bangempela nabaxakayo — kungabonakala sengathi sisemngceleni walobo busuku obuqhubeka Usuku lweNkosi.

Singaphendula kulokho iZulu elisitshela khona: umthandazo nokuzila ukudla kungashintsha noma kunciphise ukujeziswa okuzayo kubantu abasobala abadlubulundayo nabahlubukayo ngalesi sikhathi emlandweni. Kubukeka sengathi yilokho kanye uMama Wethu kaFatima asitshele khona, futhi usitshela futhi ngezibuko zosuku lwanamuhla: Umthandazo futhi ukuzila ukudla, Ukuguqulwa futhi ukuzisola, Futhi ukholo kuNkulunkulu ingashintsha inkambo yomlando. Iyakwazi ukuhambisa izintaba.
