The Pope: Thermometer of Apostasy

BenedictCandle
POPE BENEDICT XVI

FEAST OF THE ANNUNCIATION

HAVING traveled and preached in over 40 American states and nearly all of Canada’s provinces, I have been afforded a wide-ranging glimpse of the Church on this continent. I have met many wonderful lay people, deeply committed priests, and devoted and reverent religious. But they have become so few in number that I am beginning to hear the words of Jesus in a new and startling way:

When the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth?(Luke 18:8)

It is said that if you throw a frog into boiling water, it will jump out. But if you slowly heat the water, it will remain in the pot and boil to death. The Church in many parts of the world is beginning to reach the boiling point. If you want to know how the hot the water is, watch the attack upon Peter.

Mary Reilly

FEAST OF ST. JOSEPH

IN recent messages, I have referred to the locutions of a woman in New York State known as Mary Reilly. While I tend to refer more to the Popes, Saints, and Church Fathers when it comes to prophecy, this modern visionary stands out in particular, in part, because her "messages" flow harmoniously with Tradition. I have spent many hours speaking with Mary, often wearing my old television reporter hat, still pointy with skepticism. Below are some insights which Mary has given me permission to make public, including words from some of her private messages.

Counting the Cost

First published March 8th, 2007.

THERE
are rumblings throughout the Church in North America about the growing cost of speaking the truth. One of them is the potential loss of the coveted "charitable" tax status the Church enjoys. But to have it means that pastors cannot put forward a political agenda, particularly during elections.

However, as we’ve seen in Canada, that proverbial line in the sand has been eroded by the winds of relativism.

Calgary’s own Catholic bishop, Fred Henry, was threatened during the last federal election by an official of Revenue Canada for his forthright teaching on the meaning of marriage. The official told Bishop Henry that the charitable tax status of the Catholic Church in Calgary might be jeopardized by his vocal opposition to homosexual "marriage" during an election. The Time of Times

I saw a scroll in the right hand of the one who sat on the throne. It had writing on both sides and was sealed with seven seals. (Rev 5:1)

IMMINENCE

AT a recent conference where I was one of the speakers, I opened the floor to questions. A man stood up and asked, "What is this sense of imminence that so many of us feel as though we are "out of time?"" My answer was that I too felt this strange internal alarm. However, I said, the Lord often grants a sense of imminence to actually give us time to prepare in advance.

Toward Paradise — Part II

The Garden of Eden.jpg

IN the Spring of 2006, I received a very strong word that is in the forefront of my thoughts these days…

With the eyes of my soul, the Lord had been giving me brief "glimpses" into the various structures of the world: economies, political powers, the food chain, the moral order, and elements within the Church. And the word was always the same:

The corruption is so deep, it must all come down.

The Lord was speaking of a Cosmic Surgery, down to the very foundations of civilization. It seems to me that while we can and must pray for souls, the Surgery itself is now irreversible:

When foundations are being destroyed, what can the upright do? (Psalm 11:3)

Even now the ax lies at the root of the trees. Therefore every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire. (Luke 3:9)

At the end of the six thousandth year, all wickedness must be abolished from the earth, and righteousness reign for a thousand years [Rev 20:6] —Caecilius Firmianus Lactantius (250-317 A.D.; Early Church Father and ecclesiastical writer), The Divine Institutes, Vol 7.

Toward Paradise

hands

We must use every means and exert all our energy to bring about the utter disappearance of the enormous and detestable wickedness so characteristic of our time—the substitution of man for God; this done, it remains to restore to their ancient place of honor the most holy laws and counsels of the Gospel… —POPE PIUS X, E Supremi "On the Restoration of All Things in Christ, Oct 4th, 1903

THE "Age of Aquarius" anticipated by new agers is merely a counterfeit of the true Era of Peace to come, an era spoken of by the Early Church Fathers and several pontiffs of the past century:

Back To Eden?

Cole_Thomas_Expulsion_from_the_Garden_of_Eden_1828.jpg
Expulsion from the Garden of Eden
, Thomas Cole, c.1827-1828.
The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, MA, USA.

SINCE mankind was barred from the Garden of Eden, he has longed for both communion with God and harmony with nature—whether man knows it or not. Through His Son, God has promised both. But through a lie, so has the ancient serpent.
