Meeting Face To Face — Part II

The Appearance of Christ to Mary Magdalene, by Alexander Ivanov, 1834-1836

THERE is one other way in which Jesus reveals Himself after the Resurrection.

When Mary Magdalene comes to the tomb, she finds the Lord’s body gone. She looks up to see Jesus standing there, mistaking him for a gardener, and asks what has been done with the body of Christ. And Jesus replies,

Mary!

One word. Her name. And with that, Mary is illumined and reaches out to grasp the Body of Jesus in utter joy. By her name, Mary hears Love speaking. She feels Love standing before her. She recognizes Love gazing at her.

Perhaps this story of Mary Magdalene is a prototype of what is coming. That through an “illumination of conscience“, as it has been called, we will each hear the Beloved call our name. And through this revelation we will be drawn to the Eucharistic Presence of Jesus among us.

THE HEART OF JESUS

It could be, too, that the Great Sign that our Mother promises to leave on earth will also be Eucharistic in nature… a sign which will also involve the Mother of the Eucharist, and the intimate union of her heart with Christ’s.

My right hand prepares miracles and My Name shall be glorified in all the world. I shall be pleased to break the pride of the wicked… and much more admirable and extraordinary will be “the event” that will come out of our encounter… two glorious thrones will arise, one of My Sacred Heart and the other of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. —Servant of God Marthe Robn (1902-1981), Antichrist and the End Times, Fr. Joseph Iannuzzi, p. 53; St. Andrew’s Productions

I saw a shining red heart floating in the air. From one side flowed a current of white light to the wound of the Sacred Side, and from the other a second current fell upon the Church in many regions; its rays attracted numerous souls who, by the Heart and the current of light, entered into the side of Jesus. I was told that this was the Heart of Mary. —Blessed Catherine Emmerich, The Life of Jesus Christ and Biblical Revelations, Vol 1, pp. 567-568

The Sacred Heart of Jesus is the Holy Eucharist. Interesting it is that in some of the Eucharistic Miracles that have taken place in the world, where the Host has miraculously turned to flesh, scientific tests revealed it to be heart tissue. (I also think it is significant that the Vatican has recently opened an international exhibition on Eucharistic Miracles… is Christ not preparing us in many wonderful ways!)

But you do not have to wait for a great event in order to encounter Jesus face to face! He awaits you now in the Tabernacle of your church, and in the daily Masses being offered around the world!

A PERSONAL CALLING

Some time ago, a friend of mine wrote to say that she felt my ministry would be one of bringing people to the Two Pillars in St. John Bosco’s dream: the Pillar of Marian devotion, and the Pillar of Eucharistic Adoration. It proved to be a prophetic word, as that is indeed how the Spirit has led me, inspiring the creation of a Rosary CD, the Divine Mercy Chaplet, and a collection of Eucharistic worship songs that I have written. As well, through these writings and my public speaking, I have spoken about our Mother’s role in these times—not a task I could possibly have imagined for myself even a few short years ago.

And now it is time for something new.

I will be traveling after Easter throughout the United States presenting an event called “An Encounter With Jesus.” I will be preaching, singing, and alongside the priest, helping to lead people to Christ through Eucharistic Adoration. While my concert ministry is not completely over, I feel “I must decrease and He must increase.” I am delighted! The most powerful ministry and healing I have seen has occurred in the context of Adoration.

Before Christmas, a woman approached me after an evening of Adoration, tears streaming down her face. She said, “25 years of therapists and self-help books, and tonight, I was healed.” I tell you, it is time for the Church to wake from her slumber and “Behold the Lamb of God!

My schedule for these events can be found here, and will be updated weekly. I pray you can come. Christ awaits you, to call you by name, so you may behold Him who loves you.
