Warnings in the Wind

Our Lady of Sorrows, painting by Tianna (Mallett) Williams

The past three days, the winds here have been unceasing and strong. All day yesterday, we were under a “Wind Warning.” When I started to reread this post just now, I knew I had to republish it. The warning herein is crucial and must be heeded regarding those who are “playing in sin.” The followup to this writing is “Hell Unleashed“, which gives practical advice on closing the cracks in one’s spiritual life so that Satan cannot get a stronghold. These two writings are a serious warning about turning from sin… and going to confession while we still can. First published in 2012…

…you make the winds your messengers… Psalm 104:4

THE wind is blowing hard today, as it often does when I sense Our Blessed Mother compelling me to give a warning. We exchange tears, and when the moment is right, I sit down to repeat what I believe she has been saying over the past few days, weeks, and months in a word that has finally ripened…

[15]cf. http://www.google.ca/ Unless you’re taking stock, many will miss the increasing frequency of these events and see them, at best, as “another news story”.

…we witness daily events where people appear to be growing more aggressive and belligerent… —POPE BENEDICT XVI, Pentecost Homily, May 27th, 2012

SOMETHING DEEPER… THE KIBEHO WARNING

But there is something deeper here: these seemingly unrelated events are in fact harbingers of the outburst of evil that is going to come upon the whole world. The reason is very much a spiritual one: souls who revel in sin are giving the powers of evil a stronghold to operate in a way never seen before on a global scale. Yet, we have seen such evil burst forth on a regional scale: 1994 in Rwanda. There, the foothold of evil exploded in what can only be described as a demonic manifestation of sorts. Once amicable neighbours suddenly turned on each other with machetes and knives, and before it was all over, over 800,000 people were murdered within just three months in one of modern times most horrific genocides. [16]cf. http://news.bbc.co.uk/ Canadian United Nations peacekeeper, General Romeo Dallaire, described the evil there as being tangible, at one point saying he felt as though he had literally shaken hands “with the devil” in one of his encounters.

Such a global outbreak of violence was prophesied by St. John in the book of Revelation (see The Seven Seals of Revolution):

When he broke open the second seal, I heard the second living creature cry out, “Come forward.” Another horse came out, a red one. Its rider was given power to take peace away from the earth, so that people would slaughter one another. And he was given a huge sword. (Rev 6:3-4)

I sense Heaven warning that violence is going to burst out suddenly upon the world like a thief in the night because we are persisting in grave sin, thereby losing God’s protection (see Global Revolution). In what is now a Church-approved apparition, the young seers of Kibeho, Rwanda saw in graphic detail—some 12 years before it occurred—the genocide that would eventually take place there. They conveyed Our Lady’s message of the call to repentance so as to avert catastrophe… but the message was not heeded. Most ominously, the seers reported that Mary’s appeal…

…is not directed to only one person nor does it concern only the current time; it is directed to everyone in the entire world.www.kibeho.org

I spoke recently with Fr. Scott McCaig, General Superior of the Companions of the Cross in Ottawa, Canada. He visited Kibeho not long ago and spoke with Nathalie Mukamazimpaka, one of the three seers from whom the Holy See based their positive ruling of the apparitions. She kept Nathalie_MUKAMAZIMPAKA1repeating to Fr. Scott during the course of their conversation how necessary it is to “pray for the Church.” She emphasized, “We are going to go through very hard times.” Indeed, in another message to the seers, Our Lady of Kibeho warned,

The world hastens to its ruin, it will fall into the abyss… The world is rebellious against God, it commits too many sins, it has neither love nor peace. If you do not repent and do not convert your hearts, you will fall into the abyss. —to visionary Marie-Claire on March 27, 1982, www.catholicstand.com

Those who believe this is fear-mongering do not understand! This is not an angry God striking out at humanity. It is the fruit of a world embracing a culture of death, [17]cf. The Judas Prophecy and The Verdict and of a Church that by and large is standing by idly and silently [18]cf. My People are Perishing while the anti-gospel forms the minds of the future and establishes itself in our societal systems with barely any resistance.

And let us not say that it is God who is punishing us in this way; on the contrary it is people themselves who are preparing their own punishment. In his kindness God warns us and calls us to the right path, while respecting the freedom he has given us; hence people are responsible. –Sr. Lucia, one of the Fatima visionaries, in a letter to the Holy Father, May 12th, 1982.

How does God call us back to Himself but primarily through His shepherds. And thus, the growing lawlessness in our times is a direct consequence of the attack upon the priesthood and the muting of morality.

…the devil is about to wage a decisive battle with the Blessed Virgin, as he knows what it is that offends God the most, and which in a short space of time will gain for him the greatest number of souls. Thus, the devil does everything to overcome souls consecrated to God, because in this way he will succeed in leaving the souls of the faithful abandoned by their leaders, thereby the more easily will he seize them. —Sr. Lucia letter to Fr. Fuentes, Sister Lucia, Apostle of Mary’s Immaculate Heart, Mark Fellows, p. 160 (emphasis mine)

Jesus said to them, “This night all of you will have your faith in me shaken, for it is written: ‘I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be dispersed.’” (Matt 26:31)

STRONGHOLDS

More than ever, we need to remember those words we repeat each Easter in our baptismal vows when we reject “the glamour of evil”. Sin is a lie, a bald-faced lie. It promises pleasure, but never delivers, or at least, does not deliver lasting and life-giving joy. That’s because

The wages of sin is death. (Rom 6:23)

Furthermore, it is a trap, for the devil who…

…was a murderer from the beginning… is a liar and the father of lies. (John 8:44)

Sin readily gives Satan a stronghold in hearts, families, societies, and eventually nations, particularly if the lies are codified into law. This is precisely what has happened in our times where there is now a growing…

…dictatorship of relativism that recognizes nothing as definite, and which leaves as the ultimate measure only one’s ego and desires. —Cardinal Ratzinger (POPE BENEDICT XVI) pre-conclave Homily, April 18th, 2005

This is precisely the measure by which Supreme Courts are imposing immorality in nations. [19]cf. The Jaws of the Red Dragon

Having a clear faith, according to the credo of the Church, is often labeled as fundamentalism. Yet, relativism, that is, letting oneself be tossed and ‘swept along by every wind of teaching’, appears the sole attitude acceptable to today’s standards. —Cardinal Ratzinger (POPE BENEDICT XVI) Ibid.

The grave danger today, even for faithful Catholics, is that sin has become so widespread, so accessible, so acclimated within our culture, that what would have shocked the pagans of yesterday hardly causes us to blink today. It is the proverbial frog boiling in the water.

O stupid Galatians! (Gal 3:1)

How stupid we are to believe that our constant fare of human denigration, perverted sex, and graphic violence deemed as “entertainment” is harmless. [20]cf. http://washingtonexaminer.com/

…the content of much entertainment media, and the marketing of those media combine to produce “a powerful desensitization intervention on a global level.” …the modern entertainment media landscape could accurately be described as an effective systematic violence desensitization tool. Whether modern societies want this to continue is largely a public policy question, not an exclusively scientific one.  —Iowa State University study, The Effects of Video Game Violence on Physiological Desensitization to Real-Life Violence; Carnagey, Anderson, and Ferlazzo; article from ISU News Service; July 24th, 2006

We are stupid indeed because we not only do nothing about this desensitization, but celebrate and defend it. We feign horror on the one hand when blood is shed in our neighbourhoods, but glorify these very things through depraved Halloween displays, morbid movies, and graphic television shows. It is all symptomatic of The Death of Logic. We are, as Pope Benedict puts it, “asleep.” [21]cf. He Calls While We Slumber

It’s our very sleepiness to the presence of God that renders us insensitive to evil: we don’t hear God because we don’t want to be disturbed, and so we remain indifferent to evil… —POPE BENEDICT XVI, Catholic News Agency, Vatican City, Apr 20, 2011, General Audience

Indeed, even the slaughter of college or school-children is not enough to change the course of humanity because we continue to remain indifferent to the “root” of evil. We think that “gun control” rather than conversion of the heart is the answer to crime. Or that arming everyone to the teeth rather than repentance is the answer to societal degradation.

O stupid Galatians!

I will never forget the words the Lord spoke in my heart a few years ago when I sensed Him say that even His most faithful children “do not realize how far they have fallen!” The answer then is to wake-up and, as St. Paul says,

Do not conform yourselves to this age but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and pleasing and perfect. (Rom 12:2)

Listen carefully, dear brothers and sisters: the tolerance or “margin of error” that the Lord may have “permitted” in the past, so to speak, is disappearing. We are being faced with a clear choice to either follow the will of God, or the desires of the flesh. We are not living in normal times; the “time of mercy” we are living in has an expiration date.

Are you so stupid? After beginning with the Spirit, are you now ending with the flesh? (Gal 3:1-3)

There can no longer be any fence-sitters; there can no longer be a “lukewarm” flock. [22]cf. Rev 3:16 For this time of lawlessness may very well culminate in the appearance of the “lawless one” and the deception of those who refuse to “wake-up” (see Antichrist in Our Times):

…the one whose coming springs from the power of Satan in every mighty deed and in signs and wonders that lie, and in every wicked deceit for those who are perishing because they have not accepted the love of truth so that they may be saved. Therefore, God is sending them a deceiving power so that they may believe the lie, that all who have not believed the truth but have approved wrongdoing may be condemned. (2 Thess 2:9-12)

Could we not say that, to a certain degree today, the “signs and wonders that lie” are already here, at least as a precursor? The internet was a fantasy just 20 years ago. Now, people spend hours watching videos, viewing pornography, or playing mindless games, all wrapped in the dazzling glamour of full color high-definition screens.

…the attempts made through the ages to extinguish the light of God, to replace it with the glare of illusion and deceit, have heralded episodes of tragic violence against mankind. This is because the attempt to cancel the name of God from the pages of history results in distortion, in which even the most beautiful and noble words lose their true meaning. —POPE BENEDICT XVI, Vatican City, December 14th, 2012, Vatican Information Service

St. Elizabeth Seton apparently had a vision in the 1800’s in which she saw “in every American home a black box through which the devil would enter.” Several decades ago, many thought she was referring to television sets. But back then, televisions were wooden boxes with gray screens. Today, every home, if not every room, has a true “black box”—a computer through which, sadly, Satan has gained a foothold in families. Pope Pius XII clearly forewarned of the danger that was coming:

Everyone knows well that, very often, children can avoid the transient attack of a disease outside their own home, but cannot escape it when it lurks within the home itself. It is wrong to introduce risk in any form into the sanctity of home surroundings. —POPE PIUS XII, Miranda Prorsus, Encyclical Letter “on Motion Pictures, Radio and Television”

Here, the Pope is warning about The Near Occasion of Sin. If you dance with temptation, the devil will step on your toes. For instance, if one struggles with alcohol, he may think it is fine to sit at the back of the bar and order a coffee. But avoiding the “near occasion of sin” means not even walking down the street where the bar is located! (see The Hunted).

In all this, God is extending to His people protection from the evil that is here and coming upon the world.

Because you have kept my message of endurance, I will keep you safe in the time of trial that is going to come to the whole world to test the inhabitants of the earth. (Rev 3:10)

The follow-up writing to this one is called Hell UnleashedIn it, I have outlined some necessary concrete steps that each of us must take in order not to be overcome by the powers of darkness that have been unleashed in recent days. But let me conclude with these thoughts…

IT’S GOING TO BE SUPERNATURAL

In a brief moment last year, I was given all at once an interior understanding that what is coming upon the world cannot be withstood by human strength or intelligence. That, in fact, it will be grace alone that will sustain and protect God’s faithful remnant in the times to come—so long as we give him our “fiat”:

God will rescue you from the fowler’s snare, from the destroying plague, will shelter you with pinions, spread wings that you may take refuge; God’s faithfulness is a protecting shield. You shall not fear the terror of the night nor the arrow that flies by day… (Psalm 91:3-5)

The “ark” that God has provided for us in these times is Our Blessed Mother [23]see An Ark Shall Lead Them who said at Fatima:

My Immaculate Heart will be your refuge and the way that will lead you to God. —Second apparition, June 13, 1917, The Revelation of the Two Hearts in Modern Times, www.ewtn.com

What I am about to say, then, is so simple, yet so powerful, that it will elude many souls. And it is this: consecration to Mary, lived out through the daily Rosary, will build the walls of the “ark” around you and your household. [24]see The Great Gift That is because the Rosary is a prayer centered upon the contemplation of Jesus Christ, our Lord and God. Through Mary, we enter Pope John Paul II prays the rosary Oct. 7 at the Sanctuary of the Blessed Virgin Mary of the Holy Rosary in the center of Pompeii, Italy. The pontiff ended a year dedicated to the rosary, praying the five mysteries of light that he added to the rosary in October 2002. (CNS photo from Reuters) (Oct. 8, 2003) See POPE-POMPEII Oct. 7, 2003.more deeply into the Sacred Heart of Jesus, who is our safe harbour and refuge in this present and coming Storm.

One day a colleague of mine heard the devil say during an exorcism: “Every Hail Mary is like a blow on my head. If Christians knew how powerful the Rosary was, it would be my end.” The secret that makes this prayer so effective is that the Rosary is both prayer and meditation. It is addressed to the Father, to the Blessed Virgin, and to the Holy Trinity, and is a meditation centred on Christ. —Chief Exorcist of Rome, Fr. Gabriel Amorth, Echo of Mary, Queen of Peace, March-April edition, 2003

But consecration to Jesus through Mary is not simply some prayer we say, though that may be the beginning. It is a life lived, following the Mother’s example and leading. We live as she did giving ourselves entirely to the will of God. This is not a burden—it is in fact our joy! Though it means dying to oneself by serving others instead of our own selfish desires, that crucifixion of our flesh leads to the paradoxical joy and peace “which surpasses all understanding.” [25]cf. Phil 4:7 While the truth sets us free then, sin, on the other hand, enslaves us:

Amen, amen, I say to you, everyone who commits sin is a slave of sin. (John 8:34)

And here again is the warning: that slavery, in part, is a spiritual one. Sin disposes us to giving demonic spirits a stronghold in our lives, to one degree or another. Thus, we cannot afford to be careless in these times. Rather, we must:

Be sober and vigilant. Your opponent the devil is prowling around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. (1 Pet 5:8)

We need help in this battle, divine help, and divine weapons. [26]cf. 2 Cor 10:3-5 One powerful weapon against this present darkness is fasting.

For our struggle is not with flesh and blood but with the principalities, with the powers, with the world rulers of this present darkness, with the evil spirits in the heavens. Therefore, put on the armor of God, that you may be able to resist on the evil day and, having done everything, to hold your ground. (Eph 6:11-12)

The problem is that many of us are wearing many worldly attachments leaving no room for God’s armor. If your loin is girded in self-deception; if your chest is covered in the breastplate of unrepented sin; if your feet are shod in division and unforgiveness; if you cannot hold faith as a shield because your hands are full of self-reliance; if your head is covered in shame and the sword of the Spirit dulled because you do not spend time reading the Word of God… then begin to fast. Fasting is what sheds attachment to sin; fasting helps the heart let go of this world so it can take hold of the next; fasting helps one fit into the armor of God; fasting is what casts out the implacable demon.

And when he entered the house, the disciples asked him privately, “Why could we not cast it out?” He said to them, “This kind cannot be driven out by anything but prayer and fasting.” (Mark 9:28-29)

Fasting and prayer enables us to better fix our eyes on Jesus who alone makes us holy. The call to holiness is not an option—it is an armor.

Put on the armor of God so that you may be able to stand firm against the tactics of the devil. (Eph 6:13)

A MOTHER IS WEEPING

Why does Mary weep? Because sorrows can be mitigated; souls can be saved; chastisements can be lessened or perhaps averted (though I believe it’s now far too late for that), and yet, her children do not listen to her pleas. The time will come when she can do no more, and I believe Our Mother sees that time coming quickly… for those times that St. Paul foresaw already seem to be here:

But understand this: there will be terrifying times in the last days. People will be self-centered and lovers of money, proud, haughty, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, irreligious, callous, implacable, slanderous, licentious, brutal, hating what is good, traitors, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, as they make a pretense of religion but deny its power. Reject them. (2 Tim 3:1-5)

And thus, even against our will, the thought rises in the mind that now those days draw near of which Our Lord prophesied: “And because iniquity hath abounded, the charity of many shall grow cold” (Matt. 24:12). —POPE PIUS XI, Miserentissimus Redemptor, Encyclical on Reparation to the Sacred Heart, n. 17

It was on the morning that I sensed Our Blessed Mother pressing me to write the above warning that I decided to call Fr. Scott McCaig. He mentioned that many of the priests of his order were getting a common word to “remain vigilant.” He also underscored the importance of the Rosary devotion to the Seven Sorrows of the Mother of God, which Mary asked to be renewed in Kibeho. [27]cf. www.kibeho.org

I have a friend here in Canada, Janet Klassen, who writes by the pen-name “Pelianito.” [28]cf. http://pelianito.stblogs.com Through prayerful listening, she has been conveying powerful “messages” to the Body of Christ that are, as others have pointed out, “echoes” of what is written here and vice versa.  Such was one message, posted just days before the school massacre in Connecticut in December of 2012:

The sins of the age have purchased great suffering for the whole world. The culture of death has sown death and will reap death. My faithful little ones must not be afraid. Hold your heads high, for the Lord’s vindication is at hand. The head of the serpent will be crushed by the pure and lowly handmaid of the Lord. Rejoice my children! Your Lord lives and his victory is near! —see http://pelianito.stblogs.com/

After I spoke with Fr. McCaig, I received a letter from a friend in California whom Our Blessed Mother speaks to in the most unusual way. Mary often speaks to this layman through the messages of the late Fr. Stefano Gobbi, which bear the Imprimatur, by simply giving a number of a message from the “Blue Book”. [29]The book, “To the Priests, Our Lady’s Beloved Sons,” contains 604 messages (interior locutions) which Fr. Gobbi allegedly received from Our Blessed Mother between 1973 and 1997. The messages have received an Imprimatur He sees the number visibly hovering before his eyes for a few seconds before it disappears. He often sends me the number and, remarkably, it almost always corresponds with exactly what I’m writing about. Such was the case when, in his letter, he wrote that he saw the entry, number 411, “Great is My Sorrow”:

I am your sorrowful Mother. My Immaculate Heart is being pierced with numerous and painful thorns. The dominion of my Adversary is becoming daily greater and greater, and his power is expanding in hearts and in souls. A dense darkness has now descended upon the world. It is the darkness of the obstinate rejection of God. It is the darkness of sin, committed, justified and no longer confessed. It is the darkness of lust and of impurity. It is the darkness of unbridled egoism and of hatred, of division and of war. It is the darkness of the loss of faith and of apostasy.

In the chalice of my Immaculate Heart, I am gathering, again today, all the pain of my Son Jesus, who is mystically again living through the bloody hours of his agony. A new Gethsemane for Jesus is to see today his Church so violated and deserted, where the greater part of its pastors are sleeping in indifference and in tepidity, while others repeat the act of Judas and betray it out of thirst for power and for money.

The Dragon is exulting at the vastness of his conquest, with the help of the Black Beast and the beast like a lamb, in these days of yours, when the devil has unleashed himself upon you, knowing that there is little time left him. For this reason, the days of my greatest sorrow have also arrived.

Great is my sorrow in seeing my Son Jesus again despised and scourged in his word, rejected because of pride and lacerated through human and rationalistic interpretations. Great is my sorrow in contemplating Jesus, really present in the Eucharist, more and more forgotten, abandoned, offended and trampled upon. Great is my sorrow in seeing my Church divided, betrayed, stripped and crucified. Great is my sorrow in seeing my Pope who is succumbing under the weight of a most heavy cross, as he is being surrounded with complete indifference on the part of bishops, priests and faithful. Great is my sorrow for an ever vaster number of my poor children, who are running along the road of evil and of sin, of vice and of impurity, of egoism and of hatred, with the great danger of being eternally lost in hell.

And so I am asking you today, children consecrated to my Immaculate Heart, that which, in this very place in May 1917, I asked of my three little children, Lucia, Jacinta and Francisco, to whom I appeared. Do you also want to offer yourselves as victims to the Lord, on the altar of my Immaculate Heart, for the salvation of all my poor sinful children? If you accept this request of mine, you must do what I now ask of you.

*Pray ever more and more, especially with the holy rosary.

*Make frequent hours of adoration and of Eucharistic reparation.

*Accept with love all the sufferings which the Lord sends you.

*Spread without fear the message which I am giving you, as heavenly Prophetess of these last times of yours.

If you only knew the chastisement which awaits you if you again close the door of your hearts to the anguished voice of your heavenly Mother! Because the divine Heart of my Son Jesus has entrusted to my Immaculate Heart, the last and extreme attempt to lead you all to salvation. —given in Fatima, Portugal, September 15th, 1989, Feast of Our Lady of Sorrows;  “To the Priests: Our Lady’s Beloved Sons“, n. 411
