This past Sunday, the Mass readings once again alluded to the times we’re living in. The Gospel spoke of those who are saved at the last hour, while the prophet Isaiah wrote:

Seek the LORD while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near. (Isaiah 55:6)

Isaiah’s prophecies, according to the Early Church Fathers, are essentially about a coming “Era of Peace.”^[1]cf.How the Era was Lost They not only echo the Book of Revelation’s prophecy that Jesus will reign over the nations with an “iron rod,” that is, the Divine Will,^[2]cf.
