What is going on in your life this year? We are half way through the Jubilee Year that began on Christmas Eve with the opening of the Holy Doors at St. Peter’s Basilica. The year will close on January 6th, 2026. It is a year of pilgrimage, healing, reconciliation and renewal.
I don’t know if it’s just me… but this year, the Lord has been doing some deep healing and final closure on areas of my life that have been under construction for a long time. The fruit of this interior work is liberation, joy, peace… Doesn’t that sound good? It is good. It makes me want to tell others the Good News — that surrendering every aspect of your life into God’s hands is not slavery (as the devil tries so desperately to frame true religion), but true freedom. And that transformed life is, in a word, Jesus. From Him flows the entire economy of salvation: the Holy Spirit, the Sacraments, the infallible teachings and commandments, the charisms, the fruits…. If we fully embrace this religion, it will transform our entire being and the culture around us, as the history of our saints testifies. How can this not be shared with the world?
All you who are thirsty, come to the water! You who have no money, come, buy grain and eat; come, buy grain without money, wine and milk without cost!… O taste and see that the LORD is good! Happy is the man who takes refuge in him! (Psalm 34:8)
I feel a new breath of God flowing through my entire body, mind, and soul as the Jubilee Year unfolds, promising graces to all who come to the Living Water.
…whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst; the water that I shall give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life. (John 4:14)
Torrents of Grace
The words on my heart right now are: Torrents of Grace. While the world seems to be falling apart at the seams — or maybe precisely because it is — God wants to pour a torrent of grace on the prodigal heart of mankind. And isn’t this exactly what Heaven revealed it would do through the ecclesiastically approved messages to Elizabeth Kindelmann?
The elect souls will have to fight the Prince of Darkness. It will be a frightening Storm—no, not a storm, but a hurricane devastating everything! He even wants to destroy the faith and confidence of the elect. I will always be beside you in the Storm that is now brewing. I am your mother. I can help you and I want to! You will see everywhere the light of my Flame of Love sprouting out like a flash of lightning illuminating Heaven and earth, and with which I will inflame even the dark and languid souls. —Message from Blessed Virgin Mary to Elizabeth Kindelmann
It only makes sense that she who is “full of grace” and at the same time the Mother of the Body of Christ would be the instrument through which God would flood the earth with this torrent. And this Flame in Our Lady’s heart, she said, is “Jesus”! Our Lord told Elizabeth that this Flame of Love will be poured out (through His Mother and) the Holy Spirit as in a “new Pentecost.”
I could compare this torrential flood (of grace) to the first Pentecost. It will submerge the earth by the power of the Holy Spirit. All mankind will take heed at the time of this great miracle. Here comes the torrential flow of the Flame of Love of My most Holy Mother. The world darkened already by lack of faith will undergo formidable tremors and then people will believe! These jolts will give rise to a new world by the power of faith. Trust, confirmed by faith, will take root in souls and the face of the earth will thus be renewed. For never has such a flow of grace ever been given since the Word become flesh. This renewing of the earth, tested by suffering, will take place through the power and the imploring force of the Blessed Virgin! —Jesus to Elizabeth Kindelmann
In short, this is going to lead ultimately to that Era of Peace and the fulfillment of the Our Father when Christ’s Kingdom will indeed reign “on earth as it is Heaven.” And it’s not just Catholics who have been proclaiming this biblical truth. The late, great evangelical preacher Billy Graham said:
Yes, some day the prayer Jesus taught His disciples will be fulfilled: “Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven” (Matthew 6:10, KJV). But this will only happen when Christ comes again to establish His Kingdom (or rule) of perfect peace and justice. When He comes again, all the evils and horrors of this world will be conquered, and the Prince of Peace will rule in glory and power and perfection. In that day, the Bible says, “The wolf and the lamb will feed together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox. … They will neither harm nor destroy” (Isaiah 65:25). We can barely imagine a world like that — a world in which God’s will is followed as perfectly on earth as it is in heaven. But some day it will happen! —Billygraham.org; cf.How the Era was Lost
Preparing for Reign
And so the work of this apostolate has been helping readers Preparing for Reign: the reign of Jesus — not in the flesh, but in His Church as the final stage of salvation history.[1]cf. Millenarianism – What it is and is not
The Church of the Millennium must have an increased consciousness of being the Kingdom of God in its initial stage. —ST. JOHN PAUL II, L’Osservatore Romano, English Edition, April 25th, 1988
In that regard, Daniel O’Connor and I are taking the summer to rethink the direction of Countdown to the Kingdom, which has been a kind of extension of our individual apostolates. Christine Watkins is now moving on in the new directions God is calling her to. The last five years has been a kind of preparatory phase at Countdown of laying down a prophetic understanding of the Great Storm that we are going to pass through in order to purify the Bride of Christ and prepare the way for this Third Renewal of the world — exactly as Revelation 19 and 20 say, and as confirmed by the Church Fathers. We are sensing the Lord calling for a new and directed focus on the coming Kingdom of the Divine Will. At this point, we’re just taking our foot off of the pedal for the summer to discern.
I am going to take my foot off the pedal for a couple of weeks with The Now Word as well, as it is hay season here on our little ranch. And I need to take some time just to be with my family as the Good Shepherd beckons me to restful pastures for a short reprieve as I care for my family and land.
And I’m just going to just throw this out there in case it is a seed meant for someone’s heart… but Lea and I have been praying and discerning for a long while now about hosting retreats on our farm to walk with and minister to couples. We live atop a river here in Alberta, a beautiful and peaceful “refuge” as my bishop calls it (in the sense of a place of restoration). We are getting a clear vision… but will need benefactors to help us carry this vision out. If God’s in it, then He will make it happen with our “fiat”.
Finally, while The Now Word makes an appeal for donations for this full time ministry in early winter and then again in the Fall, we are already down to our last month of funding. Our income has dropped 25% of what it was compared to last year, an indication of the impacts of inflation and the ever-changing nature of living on Divine Providence. To make matters more difficult, all our vehicles within the same week suddenly broke down last month with thousands of dollars in expenses, and new repairs just cropped up this morning. Here again, I put everything in the hands of the Lord. If He wants me to continue with The Now Word — and I believe He does —then He will inspire those of you who are able to click that little Donate button below and help us at this time. I am ever grateful for the support so many of you have shown.
May God grant all of you a most blessed summer (or Fall for the Aussies!). Let us remain together in communion of prayer in the Upper Room of the Immaculate Heart or Blessed Mom. She is helping prepare us for a new birth (cf. Rev 12:2) after these days of sorrow… Let us remain in a state of readiness, “sober and alert” as St. Paul says, but always as a people of “hope, peace and joy.”[2]Our Lady of Medjugorje, (May 25, 2025)
So grateful for your prayers and support.
