The Black Ship – Part II

WARS and rumors of wars… And yet, Jesus said these would only be “the beginning of the birth-pangs.” [1]cf. Matt 24:8 What, then, could possibly be the hard labor? Jesus answers:

Then they will deliver you up to tribulation, and put you to death; and you will be hated by all nations for my name’s sake. And then many will fall away, and betray one another, and hate one another. And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray. (Matt 24:9-11)

Yes, the violent death of the body is a travesty, but the death of the soul is a tragedy. The hard labor is the great spiritual struggle that is here and coming…

THE BIRTH A NEW WORLD… ORDER

It is the struggle between the birth of the entire People of God (Jews and Gentiles) versus the birth of a godless New World Order. It is the struggle of ideologies, of the teachings of the Catholic Church versus the secular humanism that is the fruit of the Enlightenment—the “new paganism.” It is ultimately a struggle between light and darkness, truth and falsehood. And in this struggle, Jesus says that the Church will eventually be “hated by all nations” and that a false church would rise and “lead many astray.” This is the great confrontation detailed in Revelation symbolized by the Woman vs. the dragon.

…the dragon stood before the woman about to give birth, to devour her child when she gave birth. She gave birth to a son, a male child, destined to rule all the nations with an iron rod. (Rev 12:4-5)

I will write more about this birthing of the People of God shortly. But for now, we need to recognize this second portent that St. John described: this rising “great red dragon.” It wishes to control everything. In April of 2007, I remember praying before the Blessed Sacrament and having the distinct impression of an angel in the mid-heavens hovering above the world and shouting, [2]cf. Control! Control!

“Control! Control!”

Since then, we have seen our liberties literally hanging on by a thread. As an economic collapse draws dangerously near (see 2014 and the Rising Beast), [3]cf. “Central bank prophet fears QE warfare pushing world financial system out of control”, www.telegraph.co.uk governments are now poised to seize private bank accounts, control of the internet, if not our city streets, with the right crisis. Most people are oblivious of the laws and measures being put into place that give greater, if not absolute control to what Pope Francis calls the “unseen empires” that control the world’s purse strings. [4]cf. Antichrist in Our Times

We are on the verge of a global transformation. All we need is the right major crisis and the nations will accept the New World Order. —David Rockefeller, a prominent member of secret societies including the Illuminati, the Skull and Bones, and The Bilderberg Group; speaking at the UN, Sept. 14, 1994

IDEOLOGICAL COLONIZATION

But the Black Ship, the false church that is now sailing, is one that goes much deeper and broader: it is the control of thought.

It is not the beautiful globalization of unity of all Nations, each one with their own customs, instead it is the globalization of hegemonic uniformity, it is the single thought. And this sole thought is the fruit of worldliness. —POPE FRANCIS, Homily, November 18th, 2013; Zenit

During his recent trip to the Philippines, Pope Francis boldly decried the “ideological colonization” taking place throughout the world. That is, foreign aid is often given to a nation on the condition that it embrace an ideology: that it offer “reproductive health care” (ie. birth control, abortion on demand, sterilization) or legalize alternate forms of marriage. Pope Francis exposes this manipulation head on:

They introduce to the people an idea that has nothing to do with the nation. Yes, with groups of people, but not with the nation. And they colonize the people with an idea which changes, or wants to change, a mentality or a structure. —POPE FRANCIS, January 19th, 2015, Catholic News Agency

He used as examples the imposition of “gender theory” in Africa and the youth movements under Mussolini and Hitler where ideologies were forced upon the population. Confirming what I wrote in Mystery Babylon regarding the West, and America in particular, Pope Francis made a powerful reference to those who “colonize” with these ideologies:

…when conditions come imposed by imperial colonizers, they seek to make these peoples lose their own identity and make a uniformity. This is the globalization of the sphere — all the points are equidistant from the center. And the true globalization — I like to say this — is not the sphere. It is important to globalize, but not like the sphere; rather, like the polyhedron. Namely that each people, every part, conserves its own identity without being ideologically colonized. These are the ideological colonizations. —POPE FRANCIS, January 19th, 2015, Catholic News Agency

This is a succinct summary of Catholic social teaching on unity between nations. But today, the Black Ship shares its treasures of gold only with those who tether their free will and conscience to her stern, thereby losing their individual or national soul. While many are fixated on Francis’ reference to Catholics not being obliged to ‘breed like rabbits,’ we ought to give our greater attention to the serious harbinger that Francis is exposing in his candid remarks to the globe’s journalists in the same interview.

RELIGION AND REASON

One of the great lies propagated by the Black Ship in our times, only inflamed by deranged killers in the name of Islam, is the notion that religion causes wars. Indeed, we hear the new atheists thumping this tune out over and over again before the gullible. However, Pope Francis rightly points out (most certainly to deaf ears) that:

It is not religion that causes fanaticism… but “man’s forgetfulness of God, and his failure to give him glory, which gives rise to violence.” —POPE FRANCIS, speech to European Parliament, Nov. 25th, 2014; brietbart.com

This is a very telling statement, for it presumes the first and most basic truth that man is essentially a “religious being”, [5]cf. Catechism of the Catholic Church, n. 28 evidenced time and again across generations, cultures, and millennia.

The desire for God is written in the human heart, because man is created by God and for God; and God never ceases to draw man to himself. Only in God will he find the truth and happiness he never stops searching for: The dignity of man rests above all on the fact that he is called to communion with God. This invitation to converse with God is addressed to man as soon as he comes into being.Catechism of the Catholic Church, n. 27

I remember reading many years ago of a Communist experiment where a boy was put into complete isolation from the outside world so as to insulate him from any language or notion of God. But one day, his handlers walked into his room to find the young lad on his knees praying.

It is when we begin to ignore the voice of the divine, that violence in all its forms bursts out upon us: the violence of Islam or the violence of the abortionist are symptoms of the same disease—the separation of faith and reason.

While we rejoice in the new possibilities open to humanity, we also see the dangers arising from these possibilities and we must ask ourselves how we can overcome them. We will succeed in doing so only if reason and faith come together in a new way… —POPE BENEDICT, Lecture at the University of Regensburg, Germany; September 12th, 2006; vatican.va

It is more than ironic that secular humanists accuse Catholics of being closed to reason. For it is often the humanists and new atheists who consistently side-step reason in order to support their ideologies. [6]cf. The Painful Irony For example, the former chair of evolution at the University of London wrote that evolution is accepted…

…not because it can be proved logically coherent evidence to be true but because the only alternative, special creation, is clearly incredible. —D.M.S. Watson, Whistleblower, February 2010, Volume 19, No. 2, p. 40.

Grandson of Thomas Huxley, who was Charles Darwin’s colleague, said:

I suppose the reason we leaped at the origin of species was because the idea of God interfered with our sexual mores. Whistleblower, February 2010, Volume 19, No. 2, p. 40.

St. Paul describes this “eclipse of reason.” [7]cf. On The Eve

Ever since the creation of the world his invisible nature, namely, his eternal power and deity, has been clearly perceived in the things that have been made… Claiming to be wise, they became fools, and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man or birds or animals or reptiles. Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves… (Rom 1:20-24)

Another example of this eclipse of reason in our times is the promotion of gay “marriage” as an equivalent of “traditional” marriage while circumventing both biological and sociological data. For instance, there is a growing imposition on Catholic adoption agencies to adopt to gay couples. The constant mantra of the LGBT movement, of course, is that these gender identities are “natural.” However, since two men (or two women) cannot naturally conceive children between each other, it is therefore not natural to have children in this arrangement. Thus, the “natural” argument falls on its face, and yet, it is Catholics who are increasingly “hated by all nations” for insisting that mankind is guided by natural law, and not merely the whims of the current generation—most especially that of ideological judges. [8]cf. The Black Ship – Part I and The Moral Tsunami

FALSE ECUMENISM

And so we see the assault of the Black Ship upon the Barque of Peter—upon every human being in fact—that is twofold. One, is the “ideological colonization” of the world through a globalization that is spreading like a Spiritual Tsunami. As Benedict XVI said, this is really the rise of “an abstract, negative religion [that] is being made into a tyrannical standard that everyone must follow.” [9]cf. Light of the World, A Conversation with Peter Seewald, p. 52 The second is the isolation of, and then homogenization of religions.

There has been a quiet but steady merging of religion with secular humanism. In fact, we have witnessed in just a few short decades nearly all of the mainstream religions caving in to the relativists. As a result, a new ecumenical movement has begun. Here, I am not speaking of churches uniting upon our common faith in Jesus Christ, [10]cf. The Coming Wave of Unity but rather a common faith in tolerance.

In this regard, Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI has emerged again from relative silence to address a ‘problem that today profoundly concerns all of us.’ [11]cf. message to the Pontifical Urbaniana University on its dedication of the great hall to Benedict XVI; read remarks, October 21st, 2014; chiesa.espresso.repubblica.it And that is the emergence of this Black Ship with respect to the conflation of all the world’s religions into one.

Would it not be more appropriate for the religions to encounter each other in dialogue and serve together the cause of peace in the world? …Today many, in effect, are of the opinion that the religions must respect each other and, in dialogue among themselves, become a common force for peace. In this way of thinking, most of the time there is a presupposition that the different religions are variations of a single and identical reality; that “religion” is a common genre that takes on different forms according to the different cultures but nonetheless expresses the same reality. The question of truth, which in the beginning moved Christians more than all the rest, is here put in parentheses… This renunciation of the truth seems realistic and useful for peace among religions in the world. And nonetheless this is lethal to faith… —message to the Pontifical Urbaniana University on its dedication of the great hall to Benedict XVI; read remarks, October 21st, 2014; chiesa.espresso.repubblica.it

And really, that is the whole goal of the “great red dragon”, a demonic design that has virtually detonated first the concept of sin, and second, the concept of moral absolutes.

There is no need to be afraid to call the first agent of evil by his name: the Evil One. The strategy which he used and continues to use is that of not revealing himself, so that the evil implanted by him from the beginning may receive its development from man himself, from systems and from relationships between individuals, from classes and nations—so as also to become ever more a “structural” sin, ever less identifiable as “personal” sin. In other words, so that man may feel in a certain sense “freed” from sin but at the same time be ever more deeply immersed in it. —POPE JOHN PAUL II, Apostolic Letter, Dilecti Amici, To The Youth of the World, n. 15

Do you see it, brothers and sisters? Do you see how the world is abandoning the Barque of Peter as an old, worthless, and dangerous ship? How the false prophets have risen en masse to declare a new and better world order—without the Church? Don’t mistake the media’s admiration of Pope Francis as admiration for what he is preaching. [12]cf. “Beware of the two faces of Pope Francis: he ain’t no liberal”, telegraph.co.uk, Jan. 22nd, 2015

Kings on earth rise up and princes plot together against the Lord and against his anointed one: “Let us break their shackles and cast off their chains from us!” (Psalm 2:2-3)

…they do not accept the “Gospel of Life” but let themselves be led by ideologies and ways of thinking that block life, that do not respect life, because they are dictated by selfishness, self-interest, profit, power, and pleasure, and not by love, by concern for the good of others. It is the eternal dream of wanting to build the city of man without God, without God’s life and love—a new Tower of Babel… the Living God is replaced by fleeting human idols which offer the intoxication of a flash of freedom, but in the end bring new forms of slavery and death. —POPE BENEDICT XVI, Homily at Evangelium Vitae Mass, Vatican City, June 16th, 2013; Magnificat, January 2015, p. 311

BE A SIGN OF CONTRADICTION, NOT CONTRARY

There is a serious problem today arising among the faithful, and it comes from well-meaning but overly zealous souls who do not recognize how the false church and true Church are culminating in exactly parallel ways. As I mentioned in Part I, Satan has foreseen the end of this age and the new era to come for millennia, and thus that fallen angel has been plotting a counterfeit era that looks very much like the real thing (as a response to the Divine plan). [13]cf. The Coming Counterfeit And, to be honest, it’s fooling some of the faithful, but in a different kind of way. It’s not that they are falling for the false church, but rejecting the true Church. They see any form of ecumenism as a deception; they confuse mercy with heresy; they see charity as compromise; they see Pope Francis as a false prophet, much the way Christ was considered a false prophet because he did not fit into “the box.”

I have people writing saying, “You are so blind! Can’t you see how Pope Francis is leading us into a false church!!” And my response is, “Can’t you see how Christ continues to lead us in truth despite the weakness of His shepherds? Where is your faith in Christ?” Some of the most vociferous and uncharitable attacks on my ministry are not from atheists, but Catholics who sit on thrones like the Pharisees of old. Their faith is in the letter of the law rather than the Spirit of love. It doesn’t matter that Pope Francis has not changed doctrine (and has, in fact, reaffirmed the moral teaching of the faith numerous times); he doesn’t talk like a pope, and therefore they reason, he can’t be one. Watch out, brothers and sisters, for these too are false prophets who unwittingly end of serving the prince of division.

The answer is not to judge those who have boarded the Black Ship or those who cast stones at the Barque of Peter, but rather, to become a beacon pointing the way back again to Christ’s Ship. [14]cf. A Tale of Five Popes and a Great Ship How? By lives that are conformed to the will of God in every respect, lives which bear the supernatural fruit of joy and peace that is irresistible, even to the most hardened sinner. [15]cf. Be Faithful This conformation, which flows from our Confirmation, is to become the love and light of Christ in this present darkness. In this regard, Pope Francis, in his own “street level” kind of way, is showing the Church what we must do: love and welcome every person we meet without exception, and yet speak the truth.

And then we let He who is Love and Truth do the rest….
