World events are moving faster and faster. Revolutionary change is coming at us like the winds of a hurricane as we approach the eye of the Great Storm. As a watchman, I am amazed at the seismic news stories we track in a single day — the equivalent of a year’s worth of major stories only a few decades ago. Who can keep track of the wars, the sudden imposition of A.I., the soaring costs of living, the divisions in our families and nations, and the crisis of leadership in the Church?
