The Line in the Sand

 

I have been sitting on this article for weeks, waiting for the right moment to publish it. Recent events in Iran seem to be the cue. I will get back to my reflections on evangelization shortly…

Did you hear it? Did you hear the line being drawn in the sand at the Davos gathering in Switzerland? Howard Lutnick, the U.S. Secretary of Commerce, declared to the annual World Economic Forum meeting of elites what they did not want to hear: “Globalization has failed the West…” he said, and then affirmed the “America first” approach (nationalism), which is the antithesis of globalization.

Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, on the other hand, responded to the Davos gathering of the rich and powerful, saying that globalization is now “in the midst of a rupture.” He was clearly referring to America under President Donald Trump, who has apparently disrupted the “transition” towards “mutual benefit” as outlined by the World Economic Forum’s neo-communist agenda. The MAGA (“Make America Great Again”) vision of controlled borders, self-reliance, and self-determination is an afront to what Carney and his Davos colleagues have planned. Carney is a key “Agenda Contributor” to the World Economic Forum and one of the architects of the “Great Reset.” Just days earlier, with dramatic pause, Carney declared that Canada is entering a “New World Order” — with Communist China. 

In direct contrast, Trump has withdrawn from numerous global agencies, including the World Health Organization (WHO), the World Health Assembly (WHA) Pandemic Treaty process, the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and the Paris Climate Agreement (IPCC), and the World Economic Forum (WEF), while repealing key tax subsidies for solar, wind and electric vehicles, and then imposed global tariffs.

Carney — apparently leading by example — opened Canada to tens of thousands of Chinese electric vehicles while maintaining Canadian targets for reduced carbon emissions. Summarizing the strategy outlined in Carney’s own book, Value(s): Building a Better World for All, journalist Peter Foster concludes:

Mark Carney draws inspiration from, among others, Marx, Engels and Lenin, but the agenda he promotes differs from Marxism in two key respects. First, the private sector is not to be expropriated but made a “partner” in reshaping the economy and society. Second, it does not make a promise to make the lives of ordinary people better, but worse. Carney’s Brave New World will be one of severely constrained choice, less flying, less meat, more inconvenience and more poverty: “Assets will be stranded,^[1]ie. fossil fuels must ultimately remain in the ground used gasoline powered cars will be unsaleable, inefficient properties will be unrentable,” he promises. —National Post, Jun 05, 2021

Yes, Carney adds, we will “build something bigger, better, stronger, more just.”^[2]see full speech here Well, it doesn’t sound just to me at all, rather, more like what Pope Pius XI warned about many decades ago in his encyclical On Atheistic Communism:

For the first time in history we are witnessing a struggle, cold-blooded in purpose and mapped out to the least detail, between man and “all that is called God” (2 Thess 2:4). Communism is by its nature anti-religious. It considers religion as “the opiate of the people” because the principles of religion which speak of a life beyond the grave dissuade the proletariat [working class] from the dream of a Soviet paradise which is of this world. —Divini Redemptoris,”On Atheistic Communism”, n. 22

By the way, Pius XI footnoted those comments to St. Paul’s passage on the Antichrist in 2 Thessalonians 2.  Indeed, Carney and the World Economic Forum are promoting the so-called “Fourth Industrial Revolution,” which is their utopian vision for the world. But the Catechism of the Catholic Church warns:

The Antichrist’s deception already begins to take shape in the world every time the claim is made to realize within history that messianic hope that can only be realized beyond history through the eschatological judgment. —CCC, n. 675

But apparently, Trump — whether you love or hate him — has seemingly “ruptured” their messianic hopes…

 

How Much Longer?

The question I raised last year, and again now, is how long will these globalists let the United States and Donald Trump impede their centuries-old agenda? ^[3]cf. Global Revolution Do we really think that what Pope Benedict called “the great powers of the present day… the anonymous financial interests”^[4]“We think of the great powers of the present day, of the anonymous financial interests which turn men into slaves, which are no longer human things, but are an anonymous power which men serve, by which men are tormented and even slaughtered. They are a destructive power, a power that menaces the world.” —POPE BENEDICT XVI, Reflection after the reading of the office for the Third Hour this morning in the Synod Aula, Vatican City, October 11, 2010 are simply going to go away? Do we really think the global financiers who start and end wars, funding both sides in order to leverage their power and wealth, are going to fold their hands in defeat at the foot of a red MAGA ball cap? 

As Catholic author Ted Flynn observed:

The encroachment year after year of well-placed globalists advocating socialism and Communism, with world bodies attempting to eradicate Christianity, is well organized. It is relentless, intrusive, insidious, and Luciferian, catapulting civilization to a place it has never aspired to, nor worked towards. The goal of self-appointed global elite is total replacement of biblical values in Western Civilization. —author Ted Flynn, Garabandal, The Warning and the Great Miracle, p. 177

In a word, a “Great Reset.” In a recent podcast, Glenn Beck opined:

Trump is not trying to manage the post-World War II order, he’s trying to kill it before it kills us… we are looking at the possible end of America and the Western civilization… I was fighting for my country, but I believe Western civilization is at stake. And [Trump] is mobilizing all of the resources that he has to prepare for that, so when that big battle comes, when that thing breaks, we don’t go the way of the Great Reset. —January 19, 2026, YouTube

All of this is starting to make more sense in light of the Book of Revelation and St. John’s vision of a harlot who rides a beast…

 

The Beast and the Harlot

In Mystery Babylon and my study of America’s foundations, the United States (if not all the West) is a prime candidate for what St. John calls “mystery Babylon,” which is also called the “harlot” riding a beast. Let me briefly describe each entity to put everything else in context.

First, the “beast with seven heads and ten horns”^[5]Rev 17:3 was addressed by Our Lady in the revelations to Servant of God Fr. Stefano Gobbi:

The seven heads indicate the various masonic lodges, which act everywhere in a subtle and dangerous way. This Black Beast has ten horns and, on the horns, ten crowns, which are signs of dominion and royalty. Masonry rules and governs throughout the whole world by means of the ten horns. —alleged message to Fr. Stefano, To the Priest, Our Lady’s Beloved Sons, n. 405.d-e

This is the beast that ultimately prepares the world for the coming of Antichrist. How? As Our Lady says, the beast is a Masonic empire. The late Dr. Stanley Monteith explains:

America would be used to lead the world into the philosophic empire. You understand that America was founded by Christians as a Christian nation. However, there were always those people on the other side who wanted to use America, abuse our military power and our financial power, to establish enlightened democracies throughout the world and restore the lost Atlantis. [Atlantis represents the archetype of the “Perfect Society”, built upon sacred secret knowledge — geometry, ethics, natural law, and the unity of science and spirituality. The “lost Atlantis” of Masonry is therefore the forgotten blueprint of a spiritually ordered civilization, to be rediscovered and rebuilt by “the enlightened.”] —The New Atlantis: Secret Mysteries of America’s Beginnings (video); interview Dr. Stanley Monteith

The “enlightened democracies” are those nations that would receive the benefits of “international aid” contingent upon them embracing the form of democracy — but the content of an anti-gospel: contraception, abortion, gender ideology, and most notably, human trafficking.^[6]cf. The Fall of Mystery Babylon Very often, this also involves so-called “regime change” which, ironically, has led to the rise of forces like Al-Qaeda and ISIS,^[7]cf. “ISIS: Made in America”, June 18th, 2014; globalresearch.ca; cf. wnd.com who went on to carry out the slaughter of Christians. Thus, we also read of this harlot that…

In her was found the blood of prophets and holy ones and all who have been slain on the earth. (Rev 18:24)

In The Fall of Mystery Babylon, I go into detail about exactly how America has been “used” to both spread the agenda of the beast and incorporate it at home through politics, education, and entertainment. In the words of Antonio Gramsci (1891-1937), who founded the Italian Communist Party: “We’re going to turn their music, art, and literature against them.”^[8]from Agenda: the Grinding Down of America, documentary by Idaho Legislator Curtis Bowers; www.vimeo.com American Catholic and author Stephen Mahowald writes:

America has been converted — she gave up, without even a fight, just as Gramsci’s plan said she would. —She Shall Crush Thy Head, Stephen Mahowald, p. 126

The main point is that this neo-communist Masonic beast not only uses but hates the harlot. 

The ten horns that you saw and the beast will hate the harlot… (Rev 17:3)

Stunningly, we see how vast portions of American youth have been educated to “hate” the flag, “hate” their skin color, “hate” everything good about their history, and even “hate” democracy.^[9]see Exposing This Revolutionary Spirit Perhaps the fiery revolutions we’ve seen in American streets are a foreshadowing of the Beast’s ultimate intent: 

They will leave her desolate and naked; they will eat her flesh and consume her with fire. The merchants of the earth will weep and mourn for her [Mystery Babylon], because there will be no more markets for their cargo… wine, olive oil, fine flour, and wheat; cattle and sheep, horses and chariots, and slaves, that is, human beings. (Revelation 17:16, 18:11-13)

As the so-called “Epstein files” continue to shock the world due to both their grotesque crimes against minors and widespread association with global elites, it is hard not to read Revelation 18 in a new light:

Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great. She has become a haunt for demons. She is a cage for every unclean spirit, a cage for every unclean bird, a cage for every unclean and disgusting beast. For all the nations have drunk the wine of her licentious passion. The kings of the earth had intercourse with her, and the merchants of the earth grew rich from her drive for luxury... and slaves, that is, human souls. (Rev 18:3, 13)

Pope Benedict spoke more than once on this passage of the trade in human lives:

There is a market in child pornography that seems in some way to be considered more and more normal by society. The psychological destruction of children, in which human persons are reduced to articles of merchandise, is a terrifying sign of the times. —POPE BENEDICT XVI, Address to the Roman Curia, December 20, 2010

Because of these great sins, the glory and might of Mystery Babylon is reduced in “one hour” (see In One Hour).

The kings of the earth who had intercourse with her in their wantonness will weep and mourn over her when they see the smoke of her pyre. They will keep their distance for fear of the torment inflicted on her, and they will say: “Alas, alas, great city, Babylon, mighty city. In one hour your judgment has come.” (Revelation 18:8-10)

 

We are Being Judged

We in the West are being judged (see Judgment of the West). Nearly 99,000 unborn babies are killed in abortions each month nationwide in America.^[10]lifenews.com In 2026 in Canada, assisted suicide will have claimed the lives of over 100,000,^[11]lifenews.com as a new trade in “organ harvesting” has emerged; reports say that people can kill themselves the same day they request it.^[12]lifenews.com It’s estimated that over a million have died by drug overdose in North America since 2016.^[13]cf. cdc.gov, health-infobase.canada.ca But even more spiritually die each day through pornography. The United States is the leading producer of porn,^[14]worldmetrics.org an industry that has grown by some estimates to a quarter-trillion-dollars annually.^[15]covenanteyes.com As for Europe, it has utterly abandoned its Christian heritage as it replaces the Gospel with the goals of a handful of global elites. Thus, said Benedict XVI:

The Book of Revelation includes among the great sins of Babylon — the symbol of the world’s great irreligious cities — the fact that it trades with bodies and souls and treats them as commodities (cf. Rev 18:13). In this context, the problem of drugs also rears its head, and with increasing force extends its octopus tentacles around the entire world — an eloquent expression of the tyranny of mammon which perverts mankind. No pleasure is ever enough, and the excess of deceiving intoxication becomes a violence that tears whole regions apart — and all this in the name of a fatal misunderstanding of freedom which actually undermines man’s freedom and ultimately destroys it. —POPE BENEDICT XVI, On the occasion of Christmas Greetings, December 20th, 2010; http://www.vatican.va/

In other words, we’re destroying ourselves.

When they sow the wind, they shall reap the whirlwind. (Hos 8:7; cf. the Timeline)

Years ago, I heard in my heart the words, “For the sin of abortion, your sons will be called to war.” I pray with every breath, with every bead, with every tear that this would not be so. But St. Paul writes, “Do not be deceived; God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.” ^[16]Galatians 6:7 Hence, Pope Benedict recalled the vision of the children at Fatima:

The angel with the flaming sword on the left of the Mother of God recalls similar images in the Book of Revelation. This represents the threat of judgment which looms over the world. Today the prospect that the world might be reduced to ashes by a sea of fire no longer seems pure fantasy: man himself, with his inventions, has forged the flaming sword. —The Message of Fatima, vatican.va

Last June (2025), CBS News reported that the FBI had increased efforts “to monitor possible domestic sleeper cells linked to Hezbollah — a U.S.-designated foreign terrorist organization backed by Iran.”^[17]cbsnews.com In the past few days, there have been reports that these Islamic “sleeper cells” in the United States, and likely across the West, are being put on “standby” to attack at a coordinated “zero hour.”^[18]cf. lifezette.com; Leo Hoffman wrote: “In my book, Stealth Invasion, I referred to Muslim Brotherhood documents which prophesied about a “zero-hour event.” Zero hour can be any event that sets off panic and chaos among the masses, and at this point the Islamic terrorists all join hands to attack the infidel, whether that be Jews in Israel or Christians in the West. All the terror cells get activated.” (October 8, 2023; leohohmann.com) Indeed, two senior Shiite religious authorities in Iran issued fatwas ^[19]rulings based on Islamic law calling on Muslims worldwide to take revenge for the recent killing of the Iranian Ayatollah by US-Israeli air strikes.^[20]Grand Ayatollah Hossein Nouri Hamedani and Grand Ayatollah Naser Makarem Shirazi, iranintl.com

Even before the Iranian attacks, an imam at a local Shiite mosque in northern Virginia closed his prayer with the earnest plea: “May Allah destroy all the nonbelievers….” He asked for this victory “before the arrival of Imam Mahdi.”‘^[21]foxnews.com In Islamic theology, the Mahdi is their messiah. But there is also a shadowy figure known as “the Dajjal” who roughly corresponds to the figure of the Antichrist in Christianity. In this prophecy, the Islamic “Mahdi” will emerge to battle the Dajjal in a final battle of Armageddon.

For many of these ideologues, President Donald Trump is the Dajjal^[22]foxnews.com — and an apocalyptic war is exactly what they want.

 

The Edge of the Abyss

Recall the approved revelations at Rwanda when Our Lady told the children:

The world hastens to its ruin, it will fall into the abyss… The world is rebellious against God, it commits too many sins, it has neither love nor peace. If you do not repent and do not convert your hearts, you will fall into the abyss. —to visionary Marie-Claire on March 27, 1982, catholicstand.com

This was echoed again by Pope Leo XIV just days ago regarding the wars now erupting all over the planet:

Faced with the possibility of a tragedy of immense proportions, I make a heartfelt appeal to all the parties involved to assume the moral responsibility of halting the spiral of violence before it becomes an irreparable abyss. —POPE LEO XIV, March 1, 2026, Angelus

I also keep hearing this week the words: “Pride before the fall.” As President Trump continues to openly boast of both his economic and military accomplishments, we ought to heed Jesus’s words in today’s Gospel: 

Whoever exalts himself will be humbled; but whoever humbles himself will be exalted. (Matthew 23:12)

We have nothing to boast of when the most egregious crimes, such as abortion, are still being committed on our soil. As Benedict XVI said to all the bishops in 2005:

The threat of judgment also concerns us, the Church in Europe, Europe and the West in general… the Lord is also crying out to our ears… “If you do not repent I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place.” Light can also be taken away from us and we do well to let this warning ring out with its full seriousness in our hearts, while crying to the Lord: “Help us to repent!” —POPE BENEDICT XVI, Opening Homily, Synod of Bishops, October 2nd, 2005, Rome

If we don’t repent, we might very well see it all come down in “one hour.”^[23]cf. In One Hour Now is the time for us to personally repent. Now is the time for fasting and prayer. Now, is the time for us to “come out of Babylon”…

Then I heard another voice from heaven say: “Depart from her, my people, so as not to take part in her sins and receive a share in her plagues, for her sins are piled up to the sky…” (Revelation 18:4-5)
