Cain slaying Abel, Titian, c. 1487—1576
This is an important writing for you and your family. It is an address to the hour in which humanity is now living. I have combined three meditations in one so that the flow of thought remains unbroken. There are some serious and powerful prophetic words here worth discerning at this hour….
THE consequences of the fall of Adam and Eve do not fully take shape until the exchange between Cain and Abel. Jealous that God preferred the more generous and pure offering of Abel, Cain says, “Let us go out in the field.” He uses creation to draw his brother away and kill him. God responds:
What have you done! Listen: your brother’s blood cries out to me from the soil! Therefore you shall be banned from the soil that opened its mouth to receive your brother’s blood from your hand. If you till the soil, it shall no longer give you its produce. (Gen 4:10-12)
One could say that the earth “groaned” with the blood of Abel. In that moment, jealousy, greed, anger, and all other manner of sin were sown into the earth. In that moment, creation itself was thrown into the same disorder as the hearts of men. For all of creation was, and is, intrinsically linked to the destiny of mankind.
Why? Because when God created man and woman in His image and placed them as masters over creation, they were not mere farmers with a hoe. Rather, because they lived in the Divine Will—which is the living Word of God—they participated in the supernatural grace that was continuously infused into the entire cosmos. As Jesus revealed to Servant of God Luisa Piccarreta,
Adam’s soul… engendered in his acts supernatural light, wich invisibly germinated and multiplied the life of grace in creation. —The Gift of Living in the Divine Will, Rev. Joseph Iannuzzi, n. 18.104.22.168.2; page 48
Thus, when Adam sinned, that life of grace was interrupted, and corruption entered into creation itself. Therefore, until the “gift” of living in the Divine Will is restored in man, creation will continue to groan.
For creation awaits with eager expectation the revelation of the children of God; for creation was made subject to futility, not of its own accord but because of the one who subjected it, in hope that creation itself would be set free from slavery to corruption and share in the glorious freedom of the children of God. We know that all creation is groaning in labor pains even until now… (Rom 8:19-22)
The “glorious freedom of the children of God” that creation awaits is, once again, that participation in the life of the Trinity, which is the Divine Will that Adam and Eve lived within. For what makes us authentic children of God is to fold our will completely into His…
If you wish to enter into life, keep the commandments… If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love… (Matt 19:17; John 15:10; cf. John 4:34)
From within the “center” of the soul of Adam… God’s Divine Will operated and converted his nature and “acts” into the refulgence of divine light… God created man in such a way that all of his acts were to be patterned after that of his creator who constituted his Divine Will the principle of human activity. —Rev. Joseph Iannuzzi, The Gift of Living in the Divine Will, n. 2.1.1, 2.1.2; pp. 38-39
This “rebirth” of man that creation now awaits began in the incarnation of Jesus, who took upon himself our human nature and restored it to the Divine Will through His passion, death, and resurrection. Even for Him, He said, “My food is to do the will of the one who sent me and to finish his work.” John 4:34; Rom 8:29
For just as through the disobedience of one person the many were made sinners, so through the obedience of one the many will be made righteous. (Romans 5:19)
Christ’s redemptive act did not of itself restore all things, it simply made the work of redemption possible, it began our redemption. Just as all men share in the disobedience of Adam, so all men must share in the obedience of Christ to the Father’s will. Redemption will be complete only when all men share his obedience. —Fr. Walter Ciszek, He Leadeth Me, pg. 116-117; quoted in The Splendor of Creation, Fr. Joseph Iannuzzi, pg. 259
INDUCING LABOR PAINS
Not long after Cain’s sin multiplied, giving birth to a veritable “culture of death,” God saw that the spread of this corruption had no end. And so, He intervened.
When the LORD saw how great was man’s wickedness on earth, and how no desire that his heart conceived was ever anything but evil, he regretted that he had made man on the earth, and his heart was grieved. So the LORD said: “I will wipe out from the earth the men whom I have created… But Noah found favor with the LORD.” (Genesis 6:5-8)
What we read in these accounts is a “parable” of our times.
The Lord’s question: “What have you done?”, which Cain cannot escape, is addressed also to the people of today, to make them realize the extent and gravity of the attacks against life which continue to mark human history… Whoever attacks human life, in some way attacks God himself. —POPE JOHN PAUL II, Evangelium Vitae; n. 10; vatican.va
The Great Culling of this past century through war, genocide, abortion and euthanasia has saturated the soil with the blood of innocents and brought humanity once again to a decisive and “apocalyptic” hour.
This struggle [of the “culture of life” vs. the “culture of death”] parallels the apocalyptic combat described in [Rev 11:19-12:1-6, 10 on the battle between” the woman clothed with the sun” and the “dragon”]. Death battles against Life: a “culture of death” seeks to impose itself on our desire to live, and live to the full… —POPE JOHN PAUL II, Cherry Creek State Park Homily, Denver, Colorado, 1993; vatican.va
Intrinsically linked to this culling is The Great Poisoning whereby the greed of man has used “the field” of the earth to his altruistic advantage. And thus, at this hour, Our Lord and Our Lady have called forth messengers all over the world to summon the “Noah’s”—all those whom God finds favor with—to enter the The Great Ark. And who does God find favor with? Anyone who trusts in His mercy, in His Word, and lives accordingly:
Without faith it is impossible to please him, for anyone who approaches God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him. (Hebrews 11:6)
THE GROANING: FROM POPES TO PROPHETS
You’ve heard me quote the popes over and over again regarding these times. I have summarized their most prophetic words regarding the nature of the times we are living in Why Aren’t the Popes Shouting? That single writing should be enough for any of us to turn our lives upside down, get our priorities straight, and make sure that we are in a state of grace and peace with God. cf. Prepare!
But the Lord not only speaks to us through the Magisterium, but through the Holy Spirit who chooses often the most weak or humble vessels to convey His word—beginning with the Blessed Mother. For our part, we are commanded in Scripture not to “despise prophecy” but to “test everything.” 1 Thess 5:20-21
There are many credible and approved seers throughout the world giving the same message at this hour. “It is time,” Our Lady is saying in many places this past month—time for the fulfillment of all her messages and warnings given over decades, if not centuries. Can you not see the labour pains beginning all around us in the “signs of the times”? Chief among them: it seems the world has entered a Great Sifting, where the divisions of “Cain and Abel” are becoming acute.
Here I quote just a few of messengers, starting with an American mother named Jennifer. I have spoken to her several times to get a sense of her personality and mission. She is a simple young housewife (her last name is withheld at her spiritual director’s request in order to respect the privacy of her family.) She has a good sense of humour and a keen sense, even as she struggles with serious health issues. Her messages allegedly come directly from Jesus, who began to speak to her audibly one day after she received the Holy Eucharist at Mass. At the time, she thought “Sodom and Gomorrah” were two people, and that “the beatitudes” were the name of a rock band. As I said, Jesus usually doesn’t choose theologians…
One day, the Lord instructed her to present her messages to the Holy Father, Pope John Paul II. Fr. Seraphim Michaelenko, vice-postulator of St. Faustina’s canonization, translated her messages into Polish. She booked a ticket to Rome and, against all odds, found herself and her companions in the inner corridors of the Vatican. She met with Monsignor Pawel Ptasznik, the Polish Secretariat of State for the Vatican, and close friend and collaborator of John Paul II. The messages were passed to Cardinal Stanislaw Dziwisz, John Paul II’s personal secretary. In a follow-up meeting, Msgr. Pawel said she was to “spread the messages to the world any way you can.” And so, we consider them here.
Perhaps they could be summarized in this word that hearkens the times of Cain, Abel, and Noah:
Do not fear this time, for it will be the greatest purification since the beginning of creation. —March 1st, 2005; wordsfromjesus.com
And for the same reasons as we have read in this week’s Mass readings:
My people, I am warning you that it is because of the blood of the innocent that mankind will be brought to his knees. It is because of the blood of the innocent that this earth will open up and echo the sounds of a woman harboring the pains of labor. Your ways are not My ways and your ways will become simplified…. The days are growing shorter, the hour is coming to a close when all of humanity will see My mercy in its fullness. The earth will open up echoing the sounds of a woman harboring the pains of labor. It will be the greatest awakening the world will come to know. —Jesus speaking to “Jennifer”, March 18th, 2005; January 12th, 2006; wordsfromjesus.com;
It’s interesting, if anything, that mysterious and inexplicable sounds like “groaning” or booms have been heard all over the planet, from Russia to the U.S., Canada to Israel.
Many other signs predicted in her messages have already appeared:
My people, the time has come, the hour is now, and the mountains that have been sleeping will soon be awakened. Even those that have been sleeping in the depths of the seas will awaken with enormous might. —June 30th, 2004
• waves of (terrorist) attacks:
Many evil souls are lingering to set off waves of attacks against My people. And as this rise and fall of one who is chosen to lead comes forth, you will begin to see nation rise up against one another…. There are many vessels that are sleeping that will soon awaken sending waves of attacks all across the world. —Dec. 31st, 2004; cf. Feb. 26, 2005
• terrible divisions that will sift the weeds from the wheat.
My people… you see how this division is occurring amongst family and friends… This division will greatly surpass the era in history of Sodom and Gomorrah and the division between Cain and Abel. This division will show those that are walking in the light and those who are in the darkness. You are either following My ways or you are staying on the downward path of the world. Along with this division you will continue to see the signs that the pages in history are about to turn. —July 7th, 2004; wordsfromjesus.com
Many other seers are speaking about these divisions as well, particularly within the Church, that portend a time of great confusion—such as described in a recent message from Pedro Régis of Brazil, who has the support of his bishop.
Dear children, courage. God is by your side. Do not retreat. You are living in the time of the Great and Sorrowful Spiritual Tribulation. Bend your knees in prayer. You are heading towards a painful future. The Church of My Jesus will be weakened and the faithful will drink the bitter cup of suffering. The bad shepherds will act without mercy and the true defenders of the faith will be despised. Announce Jesus and do not allow the devil to win. After all the tribulation, the Church of My Jesus will go back to being as Jesus entrusted her to Peter. The false church will spread its errors and will contaminate many, but the Grace of My Lord will be with His True Church and She will be victorious. —Our Lady Queen of Peace, February 7, 2017; afterthewarning.com
There is nothing described above that is not already in Sacred Scripture. Whether it is prophets or popes, the message is the same wherever we turn:
We are now standing in the face of the greatest historical confrontation humanity has ever experienced. We are now facing the final confrontation between the Church and the anti-church, between the Gospel and the anti-gospel, between Christ and the antichrist. —Cardinal Karol Wotyla (POPE JOHN PAUL II), Eucharistic Congress for the bicentennial celebration of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, Philadelphia, PA, 1976; Deacon Keith Fournier, an attendee at the Congress, reports the words as above; cf. Catholic Online
We are entering the “labor pains”—The Seven Seal of Revolution. Remarkably, as these signs unfold around us, it truly is just like Jesus said it would be: “as in the days of Noah”, when most of the world would be oblivious to the gravity of the times. cf. The Days of Elijah… and Noah
As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be in the days of the Son of Man; they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage up to the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all. Similarly, as it was in the days of Lot: they were eating, drinking, buying, selling, planting, building; on the day when Lot left Sodom, fire and brimstone rained from the sky to destroy them all. So it will be on the day the Son of Man is revealed. (Luke 17:26-30)
WHAT TO DO
And so it comes—as I have explained in an open letter to the pope, cf. Dear Holy Father… He is Coming! the “day of the Lord” appears to be upon us. cf. Faustina, and the Day of the Lord and Two More Days When, how exactly… these things are all mysteries to us, and really, timing doesn’t matter, because I should always be ready to meet the Lord. But whether it is my personal end or the Day of the Lord, it comes “like a thief in the night.”
For you yourselves know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief at night. When people are saying, “Peace and security,” then sudden disaster comes upon them, like labor pains upon a pregnant woman, and they will not escape. (1 Thess 5:2-3)
That too was like the days of Noah, for it was too late to board the ark when the rains began to fall. The Scriptures seem to indicate that it is war that thrusts the world into the “hard labour” (see The Seven Seals of Revolution).
Nations are soon to rise up against one another, for what appears to be a time of peace will find mankind in the midst of chaos. A nation that does not seek peace with the rest of the world will soon come knocking and will bring a great nation to a halt.
Your means of living will soon be simplified. It is because of the blood of the innocents that mankind will see its hour of judgment. I am preparing My many messengers all around this world to be My chosen instruments to deliver My final words of warning before I stream forth My light into the souls of mankind…. —Jesus to Jennifer; April 29th, 2005; from the compilation Words from Jesus, pp. 336-337; [here, Jesus is referring to “the warning” or “illumination of conscience” that many saints and seers have spoken about. Read Jennifer’s vision of it here. See also my links at the bottom regarding this “warning”.]
Should you be afraid? Only if you’re not in The Great Ark. Only if you aren’t taking the state of your soul seriously. Only if you’re remaining unrepentant. Here is a recent message from an ecclesiastically approved seer, Edson Glauber of Brazil:
Turn back, my children, turn back to the way of conversion, prayer and the opening of your hearts that I am pointing out to you. Time is passing and many are missing the opportunity to change the course of their lives while there is still time. —from “Our Lady Queen of Peace”, February 2nd, 2017; afterthewarning.com
And so, I want to speak as clearly and plainly as I can to you, my dear readers. Stop whatever you’re doing if possible and simply pray:
Jesus, son of David, have pity on me. Like the prodigal son, I have often squandered my inheritance… the many chances you have given me to get my life right. “Father, I have sinned against you.” Forgive me, Lord. I want to come home to you this day. I want to begin again. Lord, I don’t want to be left out of the Ark. Take me into your Sacred Heart and restore, heal, and renew me… and my family. Jesus, I trust in You, because you are all good and deserving of all my love. Jesus, I trust in You.
Go to Confession the next chance you get. cf. The Great Refuge and Safe Harbour Approach the Eucharist as if you are receiving Jesus for the very first time, fully aware, opening your heart to receive Him as Lord and Savior of your life. Think: you are going to touch Him who is the Healer of healers, the Lover of lovers, the Savior of all.
Let me continue, then, from the message above to Jennifer. For just a moment, stop fretting about whether this or that message is true, and listen with your heart to these words (which contradict nothing in our Catholic Faith)—words which Msgr. Pawel felt the world urgently needed to hear:
My people, you must take heed to My words. Meditate on My Passion, meditate on the Gospel message, be My witness in the world by living the Commandments, by speaking in love to your neighbor. Be My compassionate disciples by reaching out in love not of yourself, rather to those around you.
My people, you must prepare to meet your Creator by living each day in accordance to the will of your Heavenly Father. One by one I will weed out those who choose the world and those who choose Me, for I am Jesus. My people, you have two paths, two shoes, one that is long and narrow and carries a great cross with eternal reward, or one that is wide and full of the pleasures of the world with a final destination of eternal darkness, eternal sorrow….
Cleanse your soul so that My light may reflect off of you so that you may be My shining light in the world. Your time of warning is soon to expire, for I am Jesus who has poured forth this time of mercy, and the just hand of My Father is about to strike…. —Jesus to Jennifer; April 29th, 2005; from the compilation Words from Jesus, pp. 336-337
Last, many of you are worried about your children, those who have left the faith. Then recall again the Mass reading from Tuesday, where the Lord says He is going to purify the earth of all wickedness, and yet…
Noah found favor with the Lord. Then the LORD said to Noah: Go into the ark, you and all your household.
Noah was the one who found favor—but God extended that favor upon his family. My answer, then, is you be Noah. You be Noah in your family, and I believe God will extend, through your intercession and witness, His mercy to the members of your family in His way, His time. cf. Mercy in Chaos For your part, be faithful and leave the rest to Him. Last, consecrate yourself and your family to Jesus through Mary (see The Great Ark), and know that she and the heavenly cohort have got your back in these times.
And so, it comes. But be not afraid. You are loved.
