Embracing Hope TV Returns This November

, by Lea Mallett

AFTER a long summer transition of moving my family and ministry, and constructing a new studio, I am preparing to resume my webcast, Embracing Hope, in the first part of November. An unscheduled overseas missionary trip has come up, and so I will be detained the next two weeks and unable to broadcast for the rest of October as I had originally hoped. I am most grateful to all of you who have subscribed and patiently waited for this transition to conclude! It has taken longer than anticipated, but I trust that God’s timing is better than my own.

Deliberate Sin

IS the battle in your spiritual life intensifying? As I receive letters and speak with souls throughout the world, there are two themes which are consistent:

  1. Personal spiritual battles are getting very intense.
  2. There is a sense of imminence that serious events are about to take place, changing the world as we know it.

Yesterday, as I walked into the church to pray before the Blessed Sacrament, I heard two words:

Deliberate sin.

Our Lady’s Battle

FEAST OF OUR LADY OF THE ROSARY

AFTER the fall of Adam and Eve, God declared to Satan, the serpent:

I will put enmities between you and the woman, and your seed and her seed: she shall crush your head, and you shall lie in wait for her heel. (Gen 3:15; Douay-Rheims)

Not only the woman-Mary, but her seed, the woman-Church, will engage in a battle with the foe. That is, Mary and the remnant which forms her heel.

Persecution Is Near

St. Stephen the First Martyr

I HEAR in my heart the words that there is coming another wave.

In Persecution!, I wrote about a moral tsunami which struck the world, particularly the West, in the sixties; and now that wave is about to return to sea, to carry with it all who have refused to follow Christ and His teachings. This wave, though seemingly less tumultuous on the surface, has a dangerous undertow of deception. I have spoken more about this in these writings, my new book, and on my webcast, Embracing Hope.

A strong impulse came over me last night to go to the writing below, and now, to republish it. Since it is difficult for many to keep up to the volume of writings here, republishing the more important writings ensures that these messages are read. They aren’t written for my amusement, but for our preparation.

Also, for several weeks now, my writing Warning From the Past has been coming back to me time and again. I have updated it with yet another somewhat disturbing video.

Lastly, I recently heard another word in my heart: “The wolves are gathering.”  This word only made sense to me as I re-read the writing below, which I have updated.

The Final Confrontation – The Book

Mark’s Book!

 — Watch the video —

THESE are not normal times. Ask the average passerby if “something strange” is going on in the world, and the answer will almost always be “yes.” But what?

There will be a thousand answers, many of them conflicting, several speculating, often adding more confusion to the growing fear and despair beginning to grip a planet reeling from economic collapse, terrorism, and the upheaval of nature. Could there be a clear answer?

Mark Mallett unfolds a stunning picture of our times built not upon flimsy arguments or questionable prophecies, but the solid words of the Church Fathers, modern Popes, and approved apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The end result is unequivocal: we are facing The Final Confrontation

With Nihil Obstat.

IT’S the same thing every year. We look back over the Advent and Christmas season and feel the pangs of regret: “I didn’t pray like I was going to… I ate too much… I wanted this year to be special…I have missed another opportunity.”

Door of Hope

namib-desert

FOR six months now, the Lord has remained mostly "silent" in my life. It has been a journey through an interior desert where great sand storms swirl and the nights are cold. Many of you understand what I mean. For the Good Shepherd is leading us with His rod and staff through the valley of death, the valley of stripping, the Valley of Achor.

The Vindication of Wisdom

THE DAY OF THE LORD — PART III

Creation of Adam, Michelangelo, c. 1511

THE Day of the Lord is drawing nearer. It is a Day when the manifold Wisdom of God will be made known to the nations.

Wisdom… hastens to make herself known in anticipation of men’s desire; he who watches for her at dawn shall not be disappointed, for he shall find her sitting by his gate. (Wis 6:12-14)

The question may be asked, “Why would the Lord purify the earth for a ‘thousand year’ period of peace? Why wouldn’t He just return and usher in the New Heavens and New Earth for eternity?”

The answer I hear is,

The vindication of Wisdom.

Persevere!

Persevere

I have often written over the past few years of the necessity to stay awake, to persevere in these days of change. I believe there is a temptation, however, to read the prophetic warnings and words that God is speaking through various souls these days… and then dismiss or forget them because they have not yet been fulfilled after a few or even several years. Hence, the image I see in my heart is of a Church fallen asleep… "will the son of man find faith on earth when he returns?"

The root of this complacency is often a misunderstanding of how God works through His prophets. It takes time not only for such messages to be disseminated, but for hearts to be converted. God, in His infinite Mercy, gives us that time. I believe the prophetic word is often urgent so as to move our hearts to conversion, though the fulfillment of such words may be—in human perception—some time off. But when they do come to fulfillment (at least those messages which cannot be mitigated), how many souls will wish they had another ten years! For many events will come "like a thief in the night."

Will He Find Faith?

weeping-jesus

IT was a five and a half hour drive from the airport to the remote community in Upper Michigan where I was to give a retreat. I knew of this event for months, but it wasn’t until I began my journey that the message I was called to speak finally filled my heart. It began with the words of our Lord:

…when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth? (Luke 18:8)

The context of these words is a parable Jesus told "about the necessity for them to pray always without becoming weary" (Lk 18:1-8). Strangely, he ends the parable with that troubling question of whether or not He will find faith on earth when He returns. The context is whether souls will persevere or not.

Revolution!

THOUGH the Lord has been mostly silent in my own heart the past few months, this writing below and the word “Revolution!” remains strong, as though it is being spoken for the first time. I have decided to re-post this writing, and invite you to freely spread it to family and friends. We are seeing the beginnings of this Revolution already in the United States.

The Lord has begun to speak words of preparation again in the past few days. And so, I will write these and share them with you as the Spirit unfolds them. This is a time of preparation, a time of prayer. Don’t forget this! May you remain deeply rooted in the love of Christ:

For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that he may grant you in accord with the riches of his glory to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in the inner self, and that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the holy ones what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, so that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. (Eph 3:14-19)

The Great Purification

BEFORE the Blessed Sacrament, I saw in my mind’s eye a coming time when our sanctuaries will be abandoned. (This message was first published August 16th, 2007.)

THE PREPARED ARE PEACEFUL

Just as God prepared Noah for the flood by bringing His family into the ark seven days before the flood, so too the Lord is preparing His people for the purification which is coming.

Weeds Among the Wheat

DURING prayer before the Blessed Sacrament, I was given a strong impression of a necessary and painful purification coming for the Church.

The time is at hand for the separation of the weeds that have grown among the wheat. (This meditation was first published August 15th, 2007.)

Moving Forward

Embracing Hopepntng copy

A LOT is happening in the world since our ministry and family moved to a new location the past couple weeks. The Pope released a new encyclical which has been widely (if not wildly) interpreted. I have not had time to read the document, but hope to later this summer. In the meantime, Michael O’Brien, perched from his powerfully prophetic watchtower, has posted a potent insight on the encyclical here. Also, John-Henry Western clarifies the Holy Father’s call for a "world political authority" and why this is not a call for a one world government here.

Major social changes, if not upheaval, continue to germinate in the United States. It is, I believe, part of the trend toward a major revolution (see my writing Revolution!).

My new book, The Final Confrontation, had some delays, but is now in the final stage before printing. It will be available later this summer.

Accept the Crown

Dear friends,

My family has spent the last week moving to a new location. I have had little internet access, and even less time! But I am praying for all of you, and as always, I am counting on your prayers for grace, strength, and perseverance. We are beginning construction of a new webcast studio tomorrow. Due to the workload ahead of us, my contact with you will likely be sparse.

Here is a meditation which has continually ministered to me. It was first published July 31st, 2006. God bless you all.

THREE weeks of holidays… three weeks of one minor crisis after another. From leaking rafts, to overheating engines, to bickering children, to just about anything breaking that could… I found myself exasperated. (In fact, while writing this, my wife called me to the front of the tour bus–just as my son spilled a can of juice all over the couch… oy.)

A couple nights ago, feeling as though a black cloud were crushing me, I spouted off to my wife in vitriol and anger. It was not a godly response. It was not an imitation of Christ. Not what you’d expect from a missionary.

In my grief, I fell asleep on the couch. Later that night, I had a dream:

Finding Joy

IT can be difficult to read the writings on this website at times, particularly the Seven Year Trial which contains rather sobering events. That is why I want to pause and address a common feeling that I imagine several readers are dealing with right now: a sense of depression or sadness over the present state of things, and those things which are coming.

The Thirteenth Man

AS I have traveled throughout parts of Canada and America in the past several months and spoken with many souls, there is a consistent trend: marriages and relationships are under fierce attack, especially Christian marriages. Bickering, nitpicking, impatience, seemingly unresolvable differences and unusual tension. This is accentuated even further by financial stress and an overwhelming sense that time is racing beyond one’s ability to keep up.

The False Unity — Part II

IT is Canada Day today. As we sang our national anthem after morning mass, I thought about the freedoms paid for in blood by our ancestors… freedoms which are rapidly being sucked into an ocean of moral relativism as the Moral Tsunami continues its destruction.

It was two years ago that a court here ruled for the first time that a child can have three parents (January 2007). It is certainly a first in North America, if not the world, and is only the beginning of a cascade of change which is coming. And it is a strong sign of our times:

You must remember, beloved, the predictions of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ; they said to you, “In the last time there will be scoffers, following their own ungodly passions.” It is these who set up divisions, worldly people, devoid of the Spirit. (Jude 18)

I first published this article on January 9th, 2007. I have updated it…

Knowing Christ

Veronica-2
Veronica, by Michael D. O’Brien

SOLEMNITY OF THE SACRED HEART

WE often have it backwards. We want to know Christ’s victory, His consolations, the power of His Resurrection—before His Crucifixion. St. Paul said that he wants…

…to know him and the power of his resurrection and the sharing of his sufferings by being conformed to his death, if somehow I may attain the resurrection from the dead. (Phil 3:10-11)

Episode 3 – The Big Picture

Embracing Hope, by Lea Mallett

WE are living in a time of grace and mercy, and a time of apostasy. How did we get here, and more importantly, where is the world going from here? Episode 3 sheds a powerful new light on Marian apparitions and the book of Revelation, and why we are facing a decisive confrontation between the powers of light and darkness, based on the words of the Holy Father and Sacred Scripture. Episode 4, next week, will continue to examine the "big picture," and why you need to prepare your heart for these times.

Moneychanger?

Christ Driving the Money Changers out of the Temple c. 1618, a painting by Jean de Boulogne Valentin.

THERE seems to be ongoing confusion among some of my readers as to why the webcasts I am producing carry a price tag. I am going to address this one last time since I have received several letters, such as the one below:

Why isn’t it good enough to have a wonderful web site inspiring people, why does everything have to be about paying for admission? Seems to me that if it is good, the money to support your family will come. Charging admission for people to hear what is supposed to be inspired by God is a real turn off, especially to young people. I have six children and have struggled over the years with trust in finances. Your story seems to have been based on trust. Charging admission turns your ministry into countless others that devolve into materialistic enterprises. You need to support your family, but let the products music, books etc. be a link. Continue offering your message for free and if you need money to do your work, ask for it. In my opinion it is a turn off to HAVE to pay for His message. I have found your messages to be timely, and I appreciate your work.

High Seas

HighSeas

O LORD, I want to sail in your presence… but when the seas become rough, when the Wind of the Holy Spirit begins to blow me into the tempest of a trial, I quickly lower the Sails of my faith, and protest! But when the waters are calm, I gladly hoist them. Now I see the problem more clearly—why I am not growing in holiness. Whether the sea is rough or whether it is calm, I am not moving forward in my spiritual life toward the Harbor of Holiness because I refuse to sail into trials; or when it is calm, I merely stand still. I see now that to become a Master Sailer (a saint), I must learn to sail the high seas of suffering, to navigate the storms, and patiently let your Spirit direct my life in all matters and circumstances, whether they are pleasant to me or not, because they are ordered toward my sanctification.

Episode 2 – Apostasy!

Embracing Hope, by Lea Mallett

PRIOR to Christ’s return, St. Paul teaches that there will be a great rebellion, an apostasy—a falling away from the faith. Is it here?

In Episode 2 on Embracing Hope TV, some of the most prominent voices of the past century are highlighted who make the case that something profoundly disturbing has happened in the Church. The argument is indisputable; the antidote is clear. At the end of the show is a rarely mentioned, but consoling promise of Jesus made in the Scriptures.

This is a powerful program every Christian should see. Help us spread the word. Help spread hope in these troubling times!

Growth Pains

LAUNCHING a weekly webcast is like making your first paper airplane. You go through quite a few sheets before you’re airworthy.

Not surprising, we have had to crumple up a few attempts, as we are figuring out how best to make the wings as aerodynamic and flightworthy as possible. As a result, things are simply taking more time than we anticipated. Thus, Episode 2 of Embracing Hope TV is going to be delayed by a few days. Please accept my apologies!

Embracing Hope, by Lea Mallett

WHEN the Lord put a vision in my heart of a webcast to speak His "now word," I had a sense it would be at a time when major events were unfolding, or about to unfold in the world. Wow…

And so, finally the time has come for the second phase of this mysterious apostolate: to prepare the Church for the times which are here and coming through an internet webcast. You can imagine my surprise when the Holy Father made the following appeal last week:

Young people in particular, I appeal to you: bear witness to your faith through the digital world! Employ these new technologies to make the Gospel known, so that the Good News of God’s infinite love for all people, will resound in new ways across our increasingly technological world. —POPE BENEDICT XVI, Vatican City, May 20th, 2009

Do You Know His Voice?

DURING a speaking tour in the United States, a consistent warning kept rising to the forefront of my thoughts: do you know the voice of the Shepherd? Since then, the Lord has spoken in greater depth in my heart about this word, a crucial message for the present and coming times. At this time in the world when there is a concerted attack to undermine the credibility of the Holy Father, and thus shake the faith of believers, this writing becomes ever more timely.

Cloud by Day, Fire by Night

AS world events intensify, many are feeling panicked as they watch their security begin to crumble. It should not be so for believers. God cares for His own (and how He wishes the whole world were of His flock!) The care God provided His people in the exodus from Egypt prefigures the care He is giving to His Church today as they pass through this desert toward the "promised land".

The LORD preceded them, in the daytime by means of a column of cloud to show them the way, and at night by means of a column of fire to give them light. Thus they could travel both day and night. Neither the column of cloud by day nor the column of fire by night ever left its place in front of the people. (Exodus 13:21-22)

Of Seers and Visionaries

Elijah in the desert
Elijah in the Desert, by Michael D. O’Brien

PART of the struggle many Catholics have with private revelation is that there is an improper understanding of the calling of seers and visionaries. If these “prophets” aren’t shunned altogether as fringe misfits in the culture of the Church, they are often the objects of envy by others who feel the seer must be more special than themselves. Both views do much harm to the central role of these individuals: to carry a message or mission from Heaven.

On Private Revelation

The Dream
The Dream, by Michael D. O’Brien

Within the past two hundred years, there have been more reported private revelations that have received some form of ecclesiastical approval than in any other period of the Church’s history. Dr. Mark Miravalle, Private Revelation: Discerning with the Church, p. 3

STILL, there seems to be a deficit among many when it comes to understanding the role of private revelation in the Church. Out of all of the emails I have received over the course of the past few years, it is this area of private revelation which has produced the most fearful, confused, and mean-spirited letters that I have ever received. Perhaps it is the modern mind, trained as it were to shun the supernatural and only accept those things which are tangible. On the other hand, it could be a skepticism generated by the proliferation of private revelations this past century. Or it could be the work of Satan to discredit genuine revelations by sowing lies, fear, and division.

Paralyzed by Fear — Part I

First published September 27th, 2006. I have updated this writing…

WHAT is this fear that has gripped the Church?

In my writing How To Know When a Chastisment is Near, it’s as though the Body of Christ, or at least parts of it, are paralyzed when it comes to defending the truth, defending life, or defending the innocent.

We are afraid. Afraid to be mocked, insulted, or excluded from our friends, family, or the office circle.

Fear is the disease of our age. —Archbishop Charles J. Chaput, March 21, 2009, Catholic News Agency

That Which is Built on Sand

Canterbury Cathedral, England

THERE is a Great Storm coming, and it is already here, in which those things built on sand are crumbling. (First published October, 12th, 2006.)

Everyone who listens to these words of mine but does not act on them will be like a fool who built his house on sand. The rain fell, the floods came, and the winds blew and buffeted the house. And it collapsed and was completely ruined. (Matthew 7:26-27)

Already, the driving winds of secularism have shaken apart several mainstream denominations. The United Church, the Anglican Church of England, the Lutheran Church, the Episcopalian, and thousands of other smaller denominations have begun to cave in as the raging flood waters of moral relativism pound at their foundations. Permission of divorce, birth control, abortion, and gay marriage has eroded the faith so drastically that the rains have begun to wash large numbers of believers out of their pews.

Counting the Cost

First published March 8th, 2007.

THERE
are rumblings throughout the Church in North America about the growing cost of speaking the truth. One of them is the potential loss of the coveted “charitable” tax status the Church enjoys. But to have it means that pastors cannot put forward a political agenda, particularly during elections.

However, as we’ve seen in Canada, that proverbial line in the sand has been eroded by the winds of relativism.

Calgary’s own Catholic bishop, Fred Henry, was threatened during the last federal election by an official of Revenue Canada for his forthright teaching on the meaning of marriage. The official told Bishop Henry that the charitable tax status of the Catholic Church in Calgary might be jeopardized by his vocal opposition to homosexual “marriage” during an election. The Time of Times

I saw a scroll in the right hand of the one who sat on the throne. It had writing on both sides and was sealed with seven seals. (Rev 5:1)

IMMINENCE

AT a recent conference where I was one of the speakers, I opened the floor to questions. A man stood up and asked, “What is this sense of imminence that so many of us feel as though we are “out of time?”” My answer was that I too felt this strange internal alarm. However, I said, the Lord often grants a sense of imminence to actually give us time to prepare in advance.Continue reading

The School of Love

P1040678.JPG
Sacred Heart, by Lea Mallett

BEFORE the Blessed Sacrament, I heard:

How I long to see your heart burst into flame! But your heart must be willing to love as I love. When you are petty, avoiding eye contact with this one, or an encounter with that one, your love becomes preferential. It is really not love at all, because your kindness to others has as its end self-love.

No, My child, love means to expend yourself, even for your enemies. Is this not the measure of love I demonstrated upon the Cross? Did I only take the scourge, or the thorns—or did Love completely exhaust itself? When your love for another is a crucifixion of self; when it bends you; when it burns like a scourge, when it pierces you like thorns, when it leaves you vulnerable—then, you have truly begun to love.

Do not ask me to take you out of your present situation. It is a school of love. Learn to love here, and you will be ready to graduate into the perfection of love. Let My pierced Sacred Heart be your guide, that you too may burst into a living flame of love. For self-love douses the Divine Love within you, and renders the heart cold.

Then I was led to this Scripture:

A Letter of Sorrow

TWO years ago, a young man sent me a letter of sorrow and despair to which I responded. Some of you have written asking “whatever happened to that young man?”

Since that day, the two of us have continued to correspond. His life has blossomed into a beautiful testimony. Below, I have reposted our initial correspondence, followed by a letter he recently sent me.

Dear Mark,

The reason I’m writing you is because I don’t know what to do.

[I’m a guy] in mortal sin I think, because I have a boyfriend. I knew I would never go into this lifestyle my entire life, but after many prayers and novenas, the attraction never went away. To make a really long story short, I felt I had nowhere to turn and started to meet guys.  I know it’s wrong and it doesn’t even make much sense, but I feel it’s something I’ve gotten twisted into and don’t know what to do anymore.  I just feel lost.  I feel I’ve lost a battle.  I really have a lot of inner disappointment and regret and feel I can’t forgive myself and that God won’t either. I’m even really upset with God at times and I feel I don’t know who He is. I feel He has had it out for me since I was young and that no matter what, there’s just no chance for me.

I don’t know what else to say right now, I guess I’m hoping you might be able to say a prayer. If anything, thanks for just reading this…

A Reader.
