THE warning in my heart continues to grow about a coming deception, which may in fact be the one described in 2 Thess 2:11-13. What follows after the so-called “illumination” or “warning” is not only a brief but powerful period of evangelization, but a dark counter-evangelization that will, in many ways, be just as convincing. Part of the preparation for that deception is knowing beforehand that it is coming:

AS we near Christmas, naturally, our hearts and minds are turned toward the coming of the Savior. Christmas melodies play in the background, the soft glow of lights adorn homes and trees, the Mass readings express great anticipation, and normally, we await the gathering of family. So, when I woke up this morning, I grimaced at what the Lord was compelling me to write. And yet, things the Lord has shown me decades ago are being fulfilled right now as we speak, becoming clearer to me by the minute.
So, I am not trying to be a depressing wet rag before Christmas; no, the governments are doing that well enough with their unprecedented lockdowns of the healthy. Rather, it is with sincere love for you, your health, and above all, your spiritual well-being that I address a less “romantic” element of the Christmas story that has everything to do with the hour in which we are living.Continue reading
“FEAR is not a good counsellor.” Those words from French Bishop Marc Aillet have echoed in my heart all week. For everywhere I turn, I meet people who are no longer thinking and acting rationally; who cannot see the contradictions in front of their noses; who have handed to their unelected “chief medical officers” infallible control over their lives. Many are acting in a fear that has been driven into them through a powerful media machine — either the fear that they are going to die, or the fear that they are going to kill someone by simply breathing. This morning when I awoke, the “now word” on my heart was to find a writing from the past about “coming out of Babylon.” I found this one, first published exactly three years ago on October 4th, 2017! The words in this are everything that is on my heart at this hour, including the opening Scripture from Jeremiah. I have updated it with current links. I pray this will be as edifying, reassuring, and challenging for you as it is for me this Sunday morning… Remember, you are loved.
THERE are times when the words of Jeremiah pierce my soul as though they are my own. This week is one of those times.
Whenever I speak, I must cry out, violence and outrage I proclaim; the word of the Lord has brought me reproach and derision all day long. I say I will not mention him, I will no longer speak in his name. But then it is as if fire is burning in my heart, imprisoned in my bones; I grow weary holding back, I cannot! (Jeremiah 20:7-9)
AS as Canadian, I sometimes tease my American friends for their “Amero-centric” view of the world and Scripture. For them, the Book of Revelation and its prophecies of persecution and cataclysm are future events. Not so if you are one of millions being being hunted or already driven out of your home in the Middle East and Africa where Islamic bands are terrorizing Christians. Not so if you are one of the millions risking your life in the underground Church in China, North Korea, and dozens of other countries. WHEN I was a television reporter in the late 1990’s, I broke one of the biggest stories that year—or at least, I thought it would be. Dr. Stephen Genuis had revealed that condoms did not stop the spread of Human Papillomavirus (HPV), which can lead to cancer. At that time, HIV and AIDs were huge in the headlines as was the concerted effort to push condoms on teenagers. THE following is the third and last part of what can be summarized in the word “Prepare” that Our Lady has laid on my heart. In some ways, it’s as though I have prepared 25 years for this writing. Everything has come into more focus over the past few weeks—like a veil has been lifted and that which was seen dimly is now clearer. Some things I’m going to write below may be hard to hear. Some, you may have already heard (but I believe you will hear with new ears). This is why I have begun with the beautiful image above that my daughter recently painted of Our Lady. The more I gaze at it, the more strength it gives me, the more I feel Mamma with me… with us. Remember, always, that God has provided Our Lady as a sure and safe refuge.Continue reading
